Mon, 10 Sep 2012 12:33:22 EST EPL 2012/2013 Welcome back fans! First on my menu this morning will be Fulham/Norwich City. Will check in on Arsenal from time to time, but want to see Dempsey in FFC kit until he moves - if he moves Sat, 18 Aug 2012 09:45:03 EST 2012 Euros What the heck, since we have a few months before talking smack about the EPL again, might as well have fun talking about the Euros. Will be particularly interested in what England is up to with Hodgsen on board - definitely a challenge with a new coach on board but oh so much young talent!

Sun, 27 May 2012 10:06:07 EST Should Dempsey leave Fulham? Saw online that several top level teams are interested in Dempsey, including MU, MC and Arsenal. Hubby and I talked it and think Clint should stay put at Fulham where he is pretty much guaranteed quality playing time. But in the spirit of open discussion, and a new thread to liven it up a bit - thought I'd throw it out there for opinions. I think the article said he had until June/July to decide Sun, 15 Apr 2012 17:41:08 EST Berbatov leaving United this summer :::sighs:::
I just read this and it's left me gutted...reasons being he wants to play first team football. I loved watching him play and this just sucks. I don't blame him for leaving...why continue to sit on yr talent which brings me to my next point. In all honesty, i pefer Berbatov than Welbeck...his finishing has been poor, but i guess Fergie loves him. Also, why the hell is Owen still here....he's done nothing. Cmon fergie open your eyes.
Much respect to Dimiitar for being resp... Wed, 14 Mar 2012 16:08:18 EST 2012 Olympics Qualifying for the 2012 Olympics is around the corner so I thought it might be a fun diversion to talk that for a bit. Let's start with the US squad -- we are allowed 3 "overage" players (over 23) on the roster. My choices would be Dempsey, Donovan, and Howard. My husband and I had a debate over this (22 years of soccer "discussions" in our household, LOL) - he adamantly believes we should ignore that option and just go with a 100% U23 squad for development. What are your thoughts? <BR... Sun, 19 Feb 2012 08:01:32 EST DeGea kept a clean sheet-WooHoo I didn't know where to put this, sooo i made it into a post...our keeper finally kept a clean sheet. Let's see if he can keep this up..I've actually been impressed with his performances as of lately. Thu, 16 Feb 2012 19:48:01 EST Would you play Tevez? Now that Tevez supposedly will be back in powder blue soon, wanted to get some opinons - if you were Mancini - would you play him? What do you think fan reaction will be? Tue, 14 Feb 2012 15:25:33 EST Barcelona vs Real Madrid Only saw highlights from yesterday's game, but what i did see were some seriously nasty, dirty moves that Real Madrid put on Messi - totally uncalled for! Did anyone actually watch the game? What are your thoughts on next weeks 2nd leg rematch? Thu, 19 Jan 2012 13:59:21 EST MLS 2012 Season Just thought i'd start a discussion about the upcoming MLS season.

The league seems to be getting stronger lately both on and off the field, and with the addition of a 19th team (Montreal) this year should be one of the best yet. Thu, 29 Dec 2011 11:18:34 EST Ciao! Hi all-

Big soccer fan here - my favorite club is first and foremost ACF Fiorentina. I am also a regular in the Nordecke at Columbus Crew matches, and I am a Celtic fan who has even been fortunate enough to attend an Old Firm match (3 January 2004). I follow other teams here and there (Leeds, Torino, Charlton Athletic, Accrington Stanley, Monterrey), but with 2 kids now I have much less time for anything beyond the top 3.

Glad to find other like-minded "tifosi!" Tue, 15 Nov 2011 12:01:07 EST Klinsman Era US MNT My husband and I have anxiously waited for years for Jurgen Klinsman to take the helm of the US MNT. Although the scoreboard may not reflect it, I still think this is the start of great things to come. Welcome, I have been an avid sports fan all of my life, but I never thought I would be into soccer! My nephew (who lives with me) has been playing soccer for five seasons, and I must admit watching him develop in the game has inspired me to love the game. He is the first person in my family to play the game and now we all enjoy it. In fact, I am going to serve as an assistant coach for his team in the fall. Any pointers? Tue, 1 Jul 2008 22:57:02 EST Euro2008 Who watched that Turkey v. Czech Republic game this weekend?? Talk about a thriller finish. We were rooting for CR but it was still great to see the underdog come back like that! Mon, 16 Jun 2008 13:29:50 EST The Special One Guess I have to start watching Italian football now too since Jose has taken over InterMilan. Back in the 80s I enjoyed the Italians but then so many scandals and of course the only time I could see them play back then was in the World Cups. Thanx to cable and satellite I can watch matches from all over the world.
I can't wait to see what players defect from Chelsea to InterMilan (rumors are abound) because of Jose. Fri, 6 Jun 2008 11:52:27 EST Come and introduce yourselves More newbies...WOOHOO!! Welcome to our group, we've been a little quiet the past few weeks. For the 2008-2009 Premier League season I am rooting for Liverpool (natch), Chelsea (because I was really impressed with them this season and I want them to beat the pants off of Man U in retribution), and West Bromwich (because I want to see if they can stay in Premier now that they got promoted and I want to see how far they go).

I know there are a lot of Liverpool fans here...but are there any other teams you are going to be watching next season?? Sat, 24 May 2008 13:32:41 EST new, too! I've been on sparkpeople for a while and finally decided to start joining teams. I love soccer (mostly watching!) and thought this would be a good team to start with. I cheer for lots of teams including ManU, Liverpool, Milan, Aston Villa, and others. I just really enjoy watching about any soccer game. Maybe I should get a pickup game going and get some exercise playing it, too! Wed, 21 May 2008 20:24:59 EST Game on One more day until the all England Champions League final in Russia. I'm so excited for this match. This week I am doing observations for my new job and tomorrow we start at 2pm and only have to work for an hour...WOOHOO!
I don't understand why the game was chosen to be played in Russia, apparently the pitch isn't up to EPL standards and now they've sent English polish to the field. Mon, 21 Apr 2008 22:32:08 EST More Champion's League matches this week I'm a little concerned for my team this week, Steven Gerrard had a knock to the head and his neck is still bothering him this weekend. Not good for Liverpool; he plays so well in these matches. Keeping my fingers crossed that he'll be over by Tuesday. Sun, 20 Apr 2008 10:27:07 EST What happened in MLS yesterday? Tottenham just finished their match with Portsmouth...two teams which I don't really care too much about but it was the only Premier League match on Yahoo with live commentary at the moment so I read along. In the first half not much happened and the trend continued up until the 70 minute mark...then Tottenham coach Ramos does a double substitution. A scant ten minutes later one of his substitutes scores a goal...and then just a minute ...
