I don't have the step that is used in the first exercise. Is it okay to do them just lying flat or should I figure something else out? Sun, 2 Jun 2019 10:48:38 EST Fantastic to see everyone! I'm Carol http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x71134335 Sometimes my iPad works and most of the time it crashes. So I may be sporadic, but I'm moving forward with the challenge! Sat, 9 Mar 2019 10:33:45 EST First Day of New Year & First Day of Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x70700029 Hello and Happy New Year.
I just joined this challenge and made it through the first day. Day 1 on Jan. 1.

With the strengthening exercises, I did pretty well, just stared with 3 lb weights until I can get to more reps. Hard to do exercises on my step bench, because it is low to the ground. But did them.

As for the 30 m in. exercises, I started just by walking around in the basement, but decided to go out into the warm 11 degree temp with wind chill of 0. Bundled ... Tue, 1 Jan 2019 13:53:09 EST Strategies for missed days http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x65899x69124006 I love this challenge, but have had life blow up a couple of times, which has put me a tad behind. I plan on finishing anyway and then doing the challenge again.

Anyone else have this happen? What is your strategy for getting back on track? I just pick up where I left off... it means I'll take more than 30 days, but I figure it's better than quitting.

Thanks! Sat, 26 May 2018 21:31:10 EST Cleaning is cardio...right? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x65899x68441749 So, I had to go back to my cleaning job.
After I clean for X amount of hours, I'm wiped. I don't want to do anything at all.

I have seen "heavy cleaning" as a cardio option in Sparkpeople's Fitness Tracker, but I don't think my heart is usually pumping for the entire hour, but boy do I get sweaty!!

I was considering, that the days that I manage to clean (I work with the Handy platform), I just clean and do the strength training and call it a day. Maybe do the stren... Sun, 4 Feb 2018 23:55:54 EST Hello! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x68202919 Hi all! Just joined this team. I need accountability and a little nudge now and then to get off my butt lol Sun, 1 Oct 2017 13:52:44 EST Glad to be with the group http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x67606499 Hi there. Searched the internet in the middle of the night to see what I could find to help myself. Came across Spark People. I kind of remembered it from years ago. I've tried so many different so called "tricks". I've completely omitted foods from my diet like dairy, grains, and cane sugar only to gain weight. I have two sisters who had babies this past spring and are looking better now than before their pregnancies. They both are about my height and are about 125lbs. Despite the fac... Any suggestions for first week after and keep with challenge? Ankle to calf and it does hurt. FYI. Had Ankle to thigh both legs already. Hate idea modifying but know I will have to. I adjusted nicely last time. The meds to relax nerves are crazy! Can't do anything but walk 10 min every hour. Dizzy and breathless it makes me. Rule is to walk every hour for 10 min. Prevent blood clots. Sun, 30 Oct 2016 11:56:14 EST Hi new to team http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x65492346 I just am finishing day 3. Still new to SP. Thu, 1 Sep 2016 11:00:47 EST Hi it's me, Christy http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x64595555 I am a 40+ single mother of 3 wonderful children. I need to lose more than a few pounds, and in general just need to be more active, as I have a sit down job... Overall, me and my children are looking to make healthier life style changes. I suffer from a few mild conditions, that are most likely fixed by making better choices and exercising more. If you have any suggestions you'd like to share, I'm willing to take the advice :) Mon, 20 Jun 2016 14:17:44 EST how long between sets? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x65899x63927413 Once we've got to doing 1 set of 12 reps and want to do a second set, how long should we rest between sets? Should you do 2 sets of the same exercise, the move on to the next exercise, or should you do 1 set of all the exercises, then go through and do a 2nd set?

What the advice on this please? Sat, 19 Mar 2016 10:43:18 EST How should it feel? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x65899x63822727 I'm starting off very light with my weights (only 1k dumbells) and doing 8 reps x 1 set. Yesterday (Day 4) I did 2 sets. This morning I can feel the muscles I worked.

I'm curious - question for those who do regular ST - when you are doing this work on muscles regularly, so you always have that feeling of having done a workout - ie your muscles always a bit sore (well, not sore exactly - but you can feel them)? Sat, 5 Mar 2016 04:18:32 EST Stretching http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x65899x63807432 I am surprised that there is no recommendation to stretch the muscles exercised in these workout sessions. Unless I've missed it? Even when you click through to the details of each exercise, there are no links to stretches. I've been doing Spark workouts long enough to know what stretches to do for which part of my body - but I think that adding information about stretching would be good practice. My name is Megan, and I'm working on becoming fit and healthy. I just had a baby-- 6 weeks ago as of this post-- and I do not have as much energy as I want.

Right now I'm a trainer in a call center, although I'm looking to make a change. I've been working in a call center since I entered the work force 4 years ago, so being active at work has not really been an option, and I'm often too tired to be active before or after I work.

My goal is to lose about 50 poun... Sat, 9 Jan 2016 18:40:46 EST new to spark people http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x65899x63355926 Hello, I do not actually know what to say here but I guess I will say a little about me. I live alone, 42, disabled and even though I love to cook I also love to eat. I guess that is why I have been obese all my adolescent and adult years. I weigh about 332 now my highest weight was about 356. I lost 24 pounds on my own than I started to think I wasn't living because I wasn't eating the foods I really wanted. I felt deprived. I cut out all the sodas and snacking. I started eating more vegetab...
