I walked to the hospital today to have a diagnostic test done. I am beginning to discover that I enjoy walking to places like to the store. The rigidity in the big toe joint that causes me to place my weight differently, and must have changed my gait and probably my hips and back. Some days, I can walk up hill, into the wind over rough ground with no problems. Other days, I am huffing and puffing and feel that I cannot make it up to the top of the hill. Today was one of those winded days. I really didn't think I would be able to go very far. I just slowed down and went over the low shoulder of the hill instead over the high point. I had to slow down on some long parts of it because there was cement. About half was on dirt, so faster. Looking for a better route (more dirt roads). I was talking to my child today who didn't want to go to her tai kwon do class. I took her anyway. After the first 5 minutes of class she was really getting into it (as she always does).
