Part of the reason I went on my weight loss journey was to lose weight as DH and I were planning on adding to the family. I'm now 12+ weeks pregnant and wanted to wait before posting here until I told work, family, etc... I will be having a RCS at the end of this year and then I plan to be back on here full time. I don't know if anyone has tried these Shirataki noodles? They sell them in my grocery store produce/refrigerated section near the tofu. They come in 6 oz bags packed in water, and they have practically zero carbs or calories (don't ask me how). In the past couple of weeks I've tried a couple of recipes substituting them for wheat/rice noodles, and they are totally decent! My boyfriend likes them too.

A few tips: Use them in Asian-style noodle recipes, not Italian-s... Mon, 23 Mar 2015 11:35:55 EST Spaghetti Squash Burrito Bowls Ladies, you have to make these. I've had these at least 3 times now, and they're amazing every time. I'm having a particularly difficult time with life this week, and my coping mechanism is gone. Normally a bag of chips, some cookies or some chocolate would fit the bill, but it doesn't work anymore. Mon, 2 Mar 2015 11:31:47 EST What'cha reading? Like/Love/Hate it? Why? I just started a book called "The Power is within You." by Louise Hay. I haven't read anything by her in the past. Fri, 27 Feb 2015 04:05:15 EST Week #3!! This week I'm really excited about the challenge; hopefully I won't be the only one!! I thought it would be fun this week to work on getting in some extra exercise! This week the focus is to get in as much activity as possible. When you go to the store, park in the back (unless its late at night!!), when you're carrying something up (or down) the stairs take smaller loads and use the stairs more frequently, play an extra game with your kids (if you have them) that involves physical activit... Sun, 15 Feb 2015 17:43:12 EST Happy Valentines Day! So my gym does this "Largest Loser" competition, which is supposed to be like the TV show The Biggest Loser and you get a team, a lot of training and nutrition advice and whoever wins gets a prize. I'm not eligible because I'll be out of town for one out of the six weeks. However, my boyfriend is going to do it and I had to drop off his application the other day at the gym. And under "Why do you want to lose weight?" he wrote: "Because I met the woman I want to spend the rest of my life wi... Sat, 14 Feb 2015 10:01:01 EST Team Meeting Please check in by 2/19! Hey ladies! When I joined this team I agreed to help be a co-leader with Anne and TC. Speaking of which, Anne, TC if either of you are still checking in please post below or email me so that I know! I mention this because I just noticed that I have since become the team administrator. I don't know what that exactly means for the team but I think we may be on the verge of restructuring here a little bit. What I do know however is that I do plan on sticking around; good, bad, or ugly you g... Thu, 12 Feb 2015 11:06:04 EST Weekly Challenge #2 (02/08-02/14) Here's the 2nd weekly challenge! Sun, 8 Feb 2015 19:22:14 EST My non weight Goals for February I really enjoyed last month having the personal goals outside of just weight loss. It kept me focused on moving forward and improving my all around life this year, it begins with weight - or do these goals help get that weight off! to me they are so connected.

How did you do in January? What are your goals for February? How are you moving forward with your long term 2015 goals?

Reflect - January
I had 4 goals for the month of January and I'm happy to say that... Tue, 3 Feb 2015 11:25:39 EST Weekly Challenge #1! (02/01/15- -02/07/15) I was up late so I thought I'd get the challenge for this week posted sooner rather than later. For this week the goal is to give your kitchen a healthy makeover.

Are there foods in your house that tempt you maybe a little too much? Clean them out and make room for better choices. Are there boxes of food or canned goods that no longer fit in with your goals? Donate them to a food bank. Just wondering if anyone else would be interested in doing some weekly challenges starting 02/01/15 and going for 13 weeks (start of May). My thoughts were to post a new challenge each week on Sunday and then as you complete them make posts on the message boards. I was thinking of doing a variety of challenges from diet, activity, emotional, etc... Let me know what you think and if you'd be interested! I'll also mention they're not really a competition but more or less mini goals to work ... Sun, 25 Jan 2015 16:54:13 EST A little motivation for you... One of my spark friends recently wrote in her blog that she wasn't trying to lose 100 pounds - what she was really trying to do was lose 1 pound, 100 times.

I never really thought about it that way before, but it really is true. We can all lose 1 pound. Often we lose more than 1 pound a week! From this perspective, it makes our goal seem a lot more manageable, right?

Do you have mini-goals? What motivates you? Fri, 23 Jan 2015 09:50:25 EST I gained this week I gained this week and according to the scale it was 1.8 lbs. I'm not really thrilled with that result but I'm not going to beat myself up about it either. Last Monday was the day that I binged but I don't think that's the reason why I'm up 1.8 lbs, although it might have caused some weight gain. I actually had a phenomenal week this week. I had no further binges, tracked my food, and got in more exercise than normal. I also did a strength training routine vs my normal run on Mon, 19 Jan 2015 17:02:47 EST NSVs So I know we all have a few different starting points in our journey but I thought I'd share a couple of my NSVs from this week. These things are a big deal to me because its another measure of success rather than the number on the scale.

The first one is from yesterday. I realized that my towel finally fits around me. This may sound silly, but for the first time in awhile I realized there's not a huge gap around my belly/hips where the towel should be overlapping. The little ... Fri, 16 Jan 2015 14:00:29 EST Weekend Plans Well ladies, the weekend is just about here. I don't know about the rest of you but sometimes the weekends are my most challenging days to stay on plan. I've found that planning things out works the best for me because than I have a game plan. I don't always follow my plans exactly as I planned but usually I don't deviate that far from them either. What are your plans for the weekend to keep you on track towards the 100 lbs gone in a year?

My weekend plans are fairly simple s... Thu, 15 Jan 2015 10:31:33 EST 100lbs from now I'm looking forward to.... Buying clothes and bras in a normal store Tue, 13 Jan 2015 21:06:46 EST Workout Playlists In previous discussions I was asked to post some of my favourite workout music. I have a very eclectic taste in music. I get tired of small playlists very quickly and have found in the past that the longer the playlist and more variety the more engaged it keeps me and I don't feel the need to change it around too often. Every time I hit shuffle its a new adventure! I have included a list of over 150 songs that I like to listen to while working out. Please feel free to get some new ideas for y... Mon, 12 Jan 2015 13:26:05 EST Your plan for getting back on track I started my weight loss journey on September 26th of last year. Since then I've had a fairly successful run for 3+ months. Last weekend was the first time I've binged since starting and I had another episode this morning. I'm not comfortable with it at all. What I've learned from previous failures is that if I'm not careful I could easily regain all the weight I've lost; well that's not an option for me this time! My binge started this morning and thankfully I got control before I went ... Sun, 11 Jan 2015 12:54:43 EST Quarter 1 Weigh Ins Here's a spot to track your weigh ins (if you want to) for Quarter 1 - January/February/March.

I weigh in officially and take pictures and measurements on Sundays although I will admit to stepping on the scale more mornings than not.

I will post my weigh in tomorrow. Have a great Saturday everyone! Sat, 10 Jan 2015 13:15:23 EST My non weight goals for January...and beyond I think that having non weight related goals will be important for me in those weeks that the scale doesn't move... so here are some of mine so far.

January:
1. Get my closet and bedside table and drawers cleaned out - (almost done!)
2. Currently I'm doing Les Mills Pump which is a DVD program from Team Beachbody. I did half of this two years ago and had great results but never finished.

When I finish pump I'm planning on ordering TRX Training for my strength training and hopefully getting outside a bit for cardio as it will no longer be hella-cold here (I live in the far north). I'm also considering joining a gym and doing some group classes. I've always liked them but right now I don't feel that I have the base... Thu, 8 Jan 2015 02:40:53 EST All About Me! Hey everyone! I'm glad to see you in our new team!

I'm 32 years old, married, no kids and two dogs. I have been overweight since I was about 18 years old with two significant successful weight losses since then. Once when I was 22 and two years ago. I did not reach my final goal either time and once I was feeling pretty good I just went back to living and eating like I did before and of course gained everything back and then some.

This time I'm trying to approach my wei...
