This translates to mommy being on morning duty. I never really manage to get to bed until around 3 because I need to wind down after work. Pretty common thing, the need to swi... It took awhile to put it on so I know it will take awhile to come off. 1 step at a time !! Greater Days Everyone ! Thu, 22 Sep 2016 16:50:24 EST Looking forward to Success! My name is Tracy and I am new to Spark and am excited to see a forum for people who have a hard time sleeping! It's one of the biggest issues I have! I can work, and run errands, and do a really amazing work out and be so exhausted at the end of the day but an hour after my head hits the pillow my eyes pop open and Im tossing and turning the rest of the night. And then I am so tired and dragging thru the next day when I get up. Ugh! Hopefully I will get some good pointers from all of you! Wed, 2 Mar 2016 22:04:39 EST Hi, I'm new here... and I experience frequent insomnia. I think it's probably because I have PTSD, and I am afraid to fall asleep .. I want to know whats going on around me, and my daughter, and make sure things are safe around here. And also, my head just constantly goes goes goes... especially when I am tired and try to sleep. I'm not sure why, but it's like I keep myself awake, even though I REALLY want sleep. It comes in bouts, I can sleep great for a week, and then for a week I can hardly sleep. I have a ... Hi ~ long time (on/off again) member of SP, but new to this group and to insomnia.

It started in November after a few nights of being woken up by either my dog or my husband's snoring. This started a 2 week period of severe sleep deprivation -averaging 3 hours a night, sometimes less. I was able to get prescriptions for anxiety and sleep from my doctor and that seems to help me fall asleep, but I still struggle to stay asleep. Some issues:
-I'm an extremely light sleeper, a bu... Mon, 22 Feb 2016 12:08:16 EST New to insomnia Insomnia started in November - went two weeks with 3 hours of sleep a night (average). Ever since, it's a gamble each night. Thanks to a prescrip, falling asleep doesn't seem to be the issue anymore, but staying asleep is a battle. I wake several times. I'm chronically exhausted which makes doing the things I know I need to do to get my health in track daunting. I have a sleep study in April and it can't come soon enough! Mon, 22 Feb 2016 11:56:23 EST I'm back...and starting all over again Hi there, I originally signed up to Sparkpeople a few years ago with the plan to lose weight and get healthy. I did lose about 40 lbs by eating healthy, working out regularly and feeling really good and on the right path. However in the last few years, I was a PhD student writing a dissertation which I had pressure to finish (and I did finish - yay) and then having to work - because much of my work has me sitting behind a computer, I have gained the 40 lbs plus back. I am trying to motiva... Fri, 19 Feb 2016 01:08:19 EST New to Sparks Hello Everyone,
My name is Chris, I am 55 year old female and I live in Atlanta Georgia. Tue, 16 Feb 2016 10:38:34 EST So glad I found Spark People My first concern with my weight happened at the end of 9th grade when I got on the scale and I weighed 130. My weight quickly continued to rise from there. My twin was always significantly smaller and the overt comparisons very painful. I have lost between 20-60 lbs. so many times. The longest I have maintained my weight was 1 1/2 years when I stayed between a size 0-4. It was glorious to find out how skinny people live. However, it was all consuming to maintain. I have a horrible time falling asleep at night, particularly when I know I have to get up the next day. Last night, for example, I didn't fall asleep until after 2, and I needed to be up around 8. I tried to get up. I really did. I have three alarms and use I still turned my alarms off in my sleep, or slept through them, and missed my phone call. Hey y'all...I'm 52 year-old guy and I'm looking for a buddy with whom we can virtually walk side-by-side to meet our wellness goals. I'm an Evangelical Christian which to me is an important part of how I view all of life, not just food, so finding someone who shares those values is probably a good idea but it's for sure not a deal-breaker or anything. Any takers? Thu, 14 Jan 2016 13:14:46 EST Just joined today I am a 56 yr old female in Michigan. I need to lose at least 50-70 lbs. Have tried many diets and gain what I lose and more. I even started... Sun, 30 Aug 2015 07:47:41 EST Hello. Alright, I'm actually one of those that's a little afraid to post, and I'm not sure of all I want to say. I'm the shy and quiet sort of person.
