I lost 60 lbs about 10 years ago and then my thyroid stopped working and I gained back 30 lbs or so. I'm 64 years old with two grandsons. <BR> I was on Sparkpeople when I lost the weight and so I'm back to try again, that time I drank tons of water and walked pretty quickly for miles everyday, and did weight work at the gym. I was originally diagnosed with Lupus, and later with MCTD, which is supposed to be "better." MCTD and Lupus mirror each other, so much so that I remained on the same meds when my diagnosis changed.
