SparkPeople LDS Ladies Team Messageboard A group just for us LDS women. Come join us as we share our joys and struggles on this path of choosing the right. Love, Peace and Blessings. SparkPeople LDS Ladies Team Messageboard Hello from Alabama Hello! I'll be 65 in November. I live in Northeast Alabama and I belong to the LDS church in Locust Fork, Blount County, Alabama. I live on a small farm with my 3 horses, 5 chickens, dogs, and Koi pond. My goals are to get more healthy as I attempt to lose weight. I have several health problems. But I'm working on myself and I do as much as possible. Have a blessed week! Tue, 29 Sep 2020 00:42:28 EST How do you prepare for General Conference? What do you do to prepare for General Conference?

Sun, 16 Feb 2020 00:36:23 EST Hello! My name is Amy and I'm from Idaho. My goals are to be and feel healthier so that I can be the best mother possible for my children. That way, I can also teach them healthy habits. About a month ago, I stopped eating sugar. It's really helped my energy levels through the day, which is appreciated. I also like the scripture journal goal on this team. I have never been good with a journal. Thu, 14 Nov 2019 10:09:27 EST Baptisms for the Dead Any Comments on this?

Any experiences you would like to share?

news/179-years-baptisms-for-the-dead/
Sun, 18 Aug 2019 01:56:31 EST We need to support each other and be supported. I just did several searches to see what other teams are out there specifically for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 10 years ago there was close to a dozen teams: today I could only find 2, this one and the Latter Day Saints Ladies over 40. That team does have some activity on one of the chat threads. This team has been totally inactive for several months.

I am guilty of being inactive on both of these teams. Lack of any activity and it's out of sight... Sun, 17 Apr 2016 16:01:07 EST Valentine's at the Temple Last night we celebrated Valentine's by going to the temple and having a nice dinner together. As I was thinking about how nice the night was and how grateful I am to be able to attend the temple with my eternal companion, I started thinking about all the ladies who are so special to me in my life. Valentine's is often called "singles awareness day." Regardless of your relationship status I hope you know that you are loved. We are all children of a Heavenly King who loves us! I know that to b... Sun, 14 Feb 2016 21:00:49 EST Back at it! I'm ready to start again. I'm 38 and glad to be here. I was on Spark a few years ago and managed to lose 50+ lbs. I felt great and even ran a couple half marathons. Then I started to get complacent and didn't log in to Spark regularly because I was a "success story." I started graduate school and stopped exercising regularly. I found it was too easy to fall back into old habits, and here I am again obese and winded after climbing 1 flight of stairs. I've logged into SP a couple of times over ... Mon, 8 Feb 2016 10:48:39 EST Most recent trip to the temple A sister from my ward was going yesterday and asked if I wanted to go as well. Another sister was going as well. It was a beautiful session and the sister that drove us was so willing to help me when I couldn't do for myself.

She asked if we wanted to go for lunch afterwards, so we went to Boston Pizza They had pizza and I had a lovely chicken cesear salad. It was so delish, I had been out of fresh veg for a few days and really needed that.

It was an beautiful day. I a... Fri, 21 Aug 2015 02:22:15 EST Hello! Hi! I'm knew to this board. I was excited to see this board and am hoping to be an active participant. I have tried to loose weight before, but haven't been as successful as I would have hoped. I'm excited to get back into this now.

A little bit about me: I have been married for 6 years. We have two kids. I am the primary chorister in our ward and love working with the kids. I work part time outside of the home (which often translates into 40 hours a week). I am looking to drop ar... Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Open to other groups / teams if you know of any that are particularly helpful. Wed, 5 Aug 2015 20:24:53 EST How is everyone doing? It has been awhile so thought I would check in to see how everyone is doing.

My sister and her hubby, Daughter, Son and Daughter-in-law and I went to the temple on Saturday morning. I don't have any way of getting there otherwise, so it has been several months since I have been. Boy, I sure needed that. I am grateful for the temple workers and their assistance.

Have a great week, everyone. Tue, 4 Aug 2015 16:05:52 EST Hello from Alaska! Hello :)

I've been a member of the church since April 2011. I'm the only parent of a VERY active almost 4 year old boy. I want to get in better shape so I can keep up with him, and set a better example.

I've been trying to find a hiking buddy locally for years. I live in a town of 8,000 on a remote island with so many gorgeous hiking trails... so I thought it would be easy to find a hiking buddy. Unfortunately people here seem to fall into two categories - ultra marath... Thu, 23 Jul 2015 21:11:28 EST Hello! Hello from NC. glad to be here and wishing everyone lots of success. I need advice on my calling. The young women's president and 2nd councilor are out with babies, so I was never trained in my calling as Secretary. What does my job entail? I am so confused and stressed out cuz the 1st councilor says to wing it, and I feel like she and the 3rd councilor (we have 3 to make up for the other two being gone for 2-3 months) are having me do a lot of the lessons, personal progress nights, many of the activities, and keeping a record of everything we do. I kn... Mon, 9 Mar 2015 11:40:42 EST Greetings for Idaho! Hi Sisters,

I am not a new sparker but started up again for a much needed tune up. On a chance I typed in LDS under teams and lo and behold here you all are! I am LDS as well and would love to visit with other ladies.

I am married and am an empty nester so it is just the two (three counting the dog) of us knocking around a very quite house.

I look forward to meeting all of you! Thu, 19 Feb 2015 22:46:39 EST I need morivation! I am doing a biggest loser at work, and Since I've already been eating healthy and exercising for me, I figured I might as well. I do insanity with another girl in my ward 3 days a week, and work out with my husband at least 30 min the other 3 days a week (not including sunday.) after 2 months, I've lost nothing! I even eat very healthy, balancing all my meals and eating about 5 smaller meals. Not to compare, but the girl in the lead doesn't even work out. I just need some motivation. I don't... Mon, 9 Feb 2015 13:11:49 EST Hello! Hi! I didn't introduce myself when I joined this group. I didn't see this thread. My name is Lisa and I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I'm the 2nd counselor in Relief Society for my ward. I have only been a member for a year now but it feels like I always have been. My calling has been such fun, it fits me perfectly. I am trying to lose the weight I put on when I got married. Sun, 1 Feb 2015 13:10:10 EST SparkCoach Has anyone tried the Spark Coach feature? Did you like it? Was it successful for you? I am considering it but I know I have to pay after the free month so I am holding out. Thu, 29 Jan 2015 12:07:31 EST Am I still alive???? Yea I am just a little out of shape: I just did the 20 minute Yogalates video with my daughter and I thought I was going to DIE. SMH never do Yoga or Pilates with a gymnast if you are out of weight! Tue, 6 Jan 2015 22:11:52 EST 2015 Relief Society ~ Ezra Taft Benson In Relief Society this year we will be using Teachings of Presidents of the Church ~ Ezra Taft Benson.

Let's share our thoughts about the chapters that we read. I know that we all have so much to offer each other as Sisters!

Love and Hugs! Tue, 30 Dec 2014 12:32:09 EST 2015 Sunday School ~ New Testament We will be using the New Testament Class Member Study Guide this year.

It will be nice to check in with each other and share our thoughts and impressions and maybe our favorite scripture reading from the weekly lessons.

I hope that we will all prepare for class, even if callings keep us out of class. Maybe especially if callings keep us out of class. We can have our own discussion. That way we are not missing out!

Peace and Blessings!
Tue, 30 Dec 2014 12:27:19 EST Hello Hi,
My name is Anna. I converted to the church in 2010 and my husband just last year. Thu, 18 Dec 2014 10:06:15 EST Hi from Texas :) Hi Ladies,

I'm so excited to have found this group! I am a fairly newly-wed (end of July), newly moved and in a new school! All of the changes led to a crazy schedule and some bad habits and I added another 10 lbs on top of the 30 that I already had to lose.

I am working hard to keep myself accountable - I just started taking weekly progress photos to keep myself in check :).

I hope you all are having a good week so far! Wed, 10 Dec 2014 12:37:38 EST Green Tea So I know the word of Wisdom, but can someone explain why Green tea is bad? :) thanks! Wed, 10 Dec 2014 12:34:34 EST I'm coming back Hi ladies! It has been a very long time since I have been on SP. I started a business about 5 years ago and decided that with my 4 kids and a full time business, my life was too busy to bother with fitness.

Well now I have 6 kids, a business, my husband commuting every week for his new job, taking care of a farm and 3 rental properties. I have less time than I ever have. But I came to the realization recently that it's all about priorities and perception and that I will never have... Sun, 7 Dec 2014 14:52:22 EST Hello I just joined this team. I am coming back to SP after over a year of being absent. I need to take control again before I gain back every pound I had lost. I am happy I found this team. I am from the Montreal, Quebec area. I love being a LDS lady! I didn't grow up in the church and it sure changed my life when I found it.
I need to be more disciplined when it comes to food. I eat way too much and not enough fruits and veggies. I hurt my knee last year so I've been a lot less active. I am... Wed, 3 Dec 2014 08:39:43 EST Hi from SC! Howdy from SC!
So I'm new here.
Not new to SparkPeople, but new to the group. After being on SparkPeople for 4 years it literally JUST dawned on me to do a group search for "LDS". And viola!

I'm lived in South Carolina for the past 20 years or so but I'm a military brat that grew up in Camp Zama, Japan and I've hopped all over the US.

Nice to meet everyone!!
Tue, 2 Dec 2014 09:06:49 EST Major Prayer Time We just got a call from hubby Clyde's surgeon. The biopsy on the lymph node they removed a week and a half ago was cancer. They are trying to get him in to the oncology clinic ASAP. Hopefully on Thursday when we will be at the VA hospital to get his stitches removed.

First my lung cancer that cost me the upper lobe of my right lung in July of this year. Mon, 17 Nov 2014 15:45:25 EST Hello From Salt Lake I am new to Spark people, and also this group. I am from a small town in Nevada, but now live in Salt Lake, and trying to survive the crazy traffic and large city. My goal is to lose 10 lbs, and if I accomplish that, I'll set a new goal. :) Mon, 29 Sep 2014 15:35:28 EST starting BOM again about 3 verses a day!
How are you doing? Thu, 7 Aug 2014 18:35:40 EST Hi Sisters! I'm new to Spark -- need a boost for sure! :)

I'm 1st counselor in my stake YW's presidency. Thu, 10 Jul 2014 02:20:08 EST Hello from FLORIDA Hope to see lots of LDS Floridians rise up and post here. I KNOW you're out there. Come visit my page. Let's plan something uplifting with a little wild & crazy tossed in for fun. A SPFriend in Tampa does a midnight run. How cool would THAT be? Tue, 8 Jul 2014 10:20:15 EST Prayers Please On Monday night my hubby took me in to the ER because of chest pain and shortness of breath. This has happened in the past but to be on the safe side...

They did a CT Scan of my chest and compared it to ones done in 9/12 and 3/13. It seems that my doctor, who had been told of the ER trips, didn't bother getting the records for some reason. In 9/12 there was a small soft tissue mass in my right lung that measured 6 mm. It was 13 mm on Monday. The ER doctor who saw me just happened t... Sat, 14 Jun 2014 11:14:23 EST Has anyone read the book, Made to Crave I recently finished reading the book, Made to Crave, written by (I believe) a member of the Baptist church. I recently finished it and am stunned by the insight it gave me. I'm actually finding it relatively easy (or easier) to take this journey this time.

Curious if anybody else has read it?! Would love to discuss it from a Gospel perspective. Sat, 7 Jun 2014 10:27:08 EST Hello from Michigan Hi! I recently moved to Michigan (although I was born here). I am married to a wonderful man with 3 awesome kidlets. I joined Spark a while ago, but never really got into it. This time, I feel like I'm making some changes that have me willing to fight the good fight so to speak. I know part of that change is bringing the Lord into my weight loss journey this time.

I have about 50 lbs to lose (although I'd be thrilled if I could lose 55). I've gained almost all of that weight i... Sat, 22 Mar 2014 22:54:41 EST Sisters Chat Room Hello! I recently became the leader, and I would like to lead. It was a surprise to me when I read the e-mail. I shall think of it as a calling, and hopefully I will do a good job.

I just checked through 29 pages of threads under General Team Discussion Forum to see if there was a chat thread that we could resurrect, but there wasn't one. This is an old team. The threads date back to 2006! There is a chat thread under games, but it appears to be little used. I know that many of... We saw it this evening, and I'm sure I'll cry myself to sleep tonight. Sun, 2 Mar 2014 01:20:31 EST Mission Bound Hey everybody! I've been on this site several years and I've never been able to stay on track. I always do better if I have some accountability.

I'm really trying to get into better shape before I leave on my mission in a few months so I'm not totally unprepared when I have to bike all the time in 100 degrees.

Anyone want to be my buddy? Keep each other on with the goals?

Please and Thank You!! :D Sun, 16 Feb 2014 22:24:24 EST I am back After years in hiding I have decided to come back to the land of the living. My daughter is preparing to go on a mission, but was told she needed to lose weight before they can process her application. So we have decided to make it a family effort. Looking forward to getting rid of this weight once and for all. Mon, 10 Feb 2014 00:41:11 EST What do you do to keep your testimony strong? I enjoy scripture study and learning and re-learning new things about the gospel and its daily applications.
104 Mon, 27 Jan 2014 11:32:16 EST Greetings from Norfolk, Virginia Hi,
I'm looking forward to a healthier 2014. I live the Word of Wisdom except for eating healthy. I've had a month's experience of being gluten free and was quite impressed with the absence of mental fog. I think I'm going to try this again.
Looking forward to "meeting" Sisters who are on this same journey.
Brenda Sat, 28 Dec 2013 21:19:10 EST Beautiful Day Good Morning,
I am happy to find this team.
I just joined spark people a week ago and thought I would check to see if there was an LDS spark team and yay!
Nothing like having support from those who have the same spiritual believes.
It will be fun.
Is there anyone from the Olympic Peninsula by any chance?

Starting out the day in a very good way! 247 Thu, 21 Nov 2013 14:26:10 EST Our Stake conference was this weekend It was our Stake conference this weekend and Elder Holland and Elder Stanfield were here.......

A talk that Elder Holland gave a couple of years ago really changed my life, so as soon as I heard he was going to be here, I called my BIL to see if he was busy on the Saturday and would give me a ride to the Saturday night session. The family I usually get a ride with on Sundays do not normally go to the adult session because they have a very young son. As it turned out, they decided... Mon, 28 Oct 2013 00:06:29 EST UG! I missed conference today.... I had to go to the lab today for blood tests. The doctor was specific about the time line so I could not go another day.

Then on the way home, my BIL met my bus and took me to the mall where my sister was waiting. I love this site...I discover something new every day. I don't have a blog yet, because I'm blog-challenged. I hope to change that someday soon. I hope to become a healthier, more self-confident woman via diet and exercise, and if I lose 80 lbs. in the process, I'll also be happier! 9

I'm from Utah...born and raised. Wed, 10 Apr 2013 22:00:56 EST Thrilled to find this forum Hi y'all!
I am new to this forum as of today. I joined Sparkpeople some time ago, but I started with diligence just March 20. My husband decided he would track his activity and nutrition as well. So we are kind of a duo.

My starting weight was 210. I reached 203.5 yesterday. But more than the weight loss, I am finding other "ailments" going away as I track exercise, food, water and sleep. Amazingly enough.

After conference, I decided to see if there were any LDS gro... Mon, 8 Apr 2013 13:58:14 EST Excited to be back! Hi. I am Melanie. Mon, 18 Feb 2013 09:48:40 EST Are certain women/f looked down upon in your ward? The ward I am in back in my home town constantly talked down to my family while I was a kid. My mom is LDS- born and raised- but she married a nonmember, and she worked instead of being a stay-at-home mom all the time. My mom would take both me and my older sister to church nearly every Sunday when we were little, but the talk amongst relief society ended up being quite a bit to bear, especially when she tried to have another child and had a few miscarriages.

Eventually I stopped g... Thu, 10 Jan 2013 20:51:29 EST Daily Scripture Reading website.... Just wondering if anyone else has been using the website for daily Scripture Reading as listed under "Links"

A couple of days ago I set up an account and a reading schedule for D & C 2 days ago I received an email that says they are going to switch to a monthly subscription format and thier services will no longer be free.....

I like to read on line because I can make the font big enough for me to actually see and don't have to try to hold up heavy paper versions (have ... We are BUSY LDS women of course.

But... if you get a chance just stop by and post a "Hi" or Tell us how you're doing.

Let's support each other and share our testimonies of the Gospel.

220 Love, Netty Mon, 7 Jan 2013 06:17:55 EST *Everyone Welcome* Hi Ladies,

How's your day going?

How are you feeling today?

Any, Any, Any thoughts or ideas about life??? I'm Tricia, I live in Utah now but grew up in Virginia. I have 4 munchkins from high school to toddler. I saw Nettybread over on SparkCoach and followed her teams here. I ran across this group a few weeks ago but finally remembered to join.

I have been sparking consistently for one year and have let go 45 pounds in that year plus 5 pounds from before I was pregnant. Hopefully I can make a few new buddies here.

Have a great day! I am back to work.

247 Wed, 2 Jan 2013 07:46:27 EST 2013 Church Theme Hi Team,

I was so excited that our ward introduced our new theme this year:

Come Unto Christ and Be Converted

We talked a lot about the difference between having a testimony and being truly converted and committed to serving and following Christ.

I want to be more committed and serve Christ. I definitely want to get to the temple more in 2013 also.

What is your ward's 2013 Theme?

HAPPY~NEW~YEAR Sun, 30 Dec 2012 19:57:49 EST Introduction Hey there. Used the babyfit version of Sparkpeople and am hoping that this will be more normal in terms of food and usage. :) Stay at home mom to three darlings or demons, depending on the day! I want to teach them the gospel, which I believe includes teaching them to care for themselves physically as well as spiritually. The best way to teach is by example, so I do my best to lead them that way. Mon, 12 Nov 2012 15:13:20 EST Ensign, New Era, or Friend Reading Challenge I feel like I've gotten kind of lax in reading my Ensign lately. I seem to mainly get through the Conference issues, and now that the visiting teaching messages have changed, I'm not as faithful about getting the Ensign out and reading it. This challenge is just to read at least one article each month from one of the magazines and comment on it here. If you've read one or all of them cover to cover, you might want to mention that too. Also if you have a good idea about how to use something in... Sat, 6 Oct 2012 00:06:17 EST Wishing everyone a joyful conference! Let's talk about it. Please add a few words about talks that particularly hit you or your feelings about conference in general. Fri, 5 Oct 2012 23:59:49 EST Mission Callings in the Family I am thinking that others in this group probably have family members who are serving missions or who have recently received calls. I am very excited that my cousin recently received a calling to the Moscow Russia mission. She just entered the MTC on Wed, Aug 29, 2012. Incredibly, my nephew received his call to the Moscow Russia mission just about six weeks later, and he will be entering the MTC on October 10, 2012. I don't think these two know each other very well. Although they are close in ... Sat, 1 Sep 2012 01:12:15 EST LDS Non-fiction My favorite LDS non-fiction book that I have read this year is probably Faith Rewarded: A Personal Account Of Prophetic Promises To The East German Saints by President Monson. This book was made up of excerpts from his journal about his dealings in East Germany, and it was profoundly touching. His first crossing into East Berlin sounded like it might come from a John LeCarre spy novel. It was so scary thinking of going across Checkpoint Charly, into a land that was openly hostile to both rel... Sat, 1 Sep 2012 01:06:09 EST LDS Fiction I would love to have a discussion where people tell about what LDS books they are reading and if they they are enjoying it.

Right now I am reading "The Silence of God" by Gail Sears. This book is about an LDS family who lived in Russia just before the Russian Revolution. The family is really, but the book is fictional. The writer does a good job of telling about what parts are documented and what parts are fictional. It is kind of like "The Work and the Glory" in that way. Since th... Sat, 1 Sep 2012 00:54:33 EST New member to church and returned to spark! Hi all,

I'm a new member of the LDS church (baptized March 24!) and returned to Sparkpeople to take control of my health. I've been doing a lot of research on the Word of Wisdom (coffee was particularly hard for me to give up so I was reading everything I could get my hands on!!) and I definitely want to be sure not to neglect the spiritual component of this journey. I know it will give me the extra strength I need in the tough times. Excited to be here!
Sun, 5 Aug 2012 10:54:55 EST New to This Forum Hi everyone, I just thought that I would introduce myself and tell you a little about me. I was born into the church and have struggled with it ever since I was about 17 years old. I came to SparkPeople to lose over a 100 pounds and hopefully get the motivation that I lack and maybe some help with my allergy to vitamin C and citric acid because believe it or not almost everything has one or both in it as a preservative. I would like help not just with my weight and allergy but with my faith a... Sat, 28 Jul 2012 18:31:11 EST Prayers for the families in Aurora, CO I am so sad to hear of the tragedy in Aurora, and see the flags flying at half-mast. Here were people who had hoped to spend an enjoyable evening, and instead fell victim to a deranged individual. My heart goes out to all those who were so horribly affected by this event. Mon, 23 Jul 2012 02:40:39 EST Women in the Book of Mormon :There are not a lot of women mentioned in the Book of Mormon. I only know of 6 who are mentioned by name, Sariah, Abish, the harlot Isabel, Mary the mother of Jesus, Sarah the wife of Abraham, and Eve. Only half of these even lived among the Book of Mormon people.

There are a number of other women who are spoken of however:.

• Wives, daughters, and mothers of various prophets, and groups of people (see particularly 1 Nephi 17:1-2, 20; 1 Nephi 18:19, and elsewhere in 1-2... Fri, 6 Jul 2012 14:16:57 EST First week in a different church house Last week we received the sad news that our church will probably be torn down. It is the oldest existent LDS church house in Cedar City, Utah. It was built in 1927, and is 5-10 years older than the more famous Rock Church that was built during the depression out of native stone and lumber.

The stake president was checking into the possibility of remodeling the extraction center into more room for the primary. The church had an engineering firm check it out and the decided the chu... Sun, 29 Apr 2012 12:58:00 EST Caffeine free green tea? Mirror, Mirror It was fun but not one I'd want to see again Mon, 23 Apr 2012 12:37:01 EST How are you planning on givinThe April VT message? I am interested in how you sisters are planning on doing the April 2012 Visiting Teaching message?

To me, the message is geared more to the teacher, rather than to the sisters being visited, is that how you see it?

Also, and please don't take this wrong, it talks about different ways of giving service, praying for your sisters, greating them at church, sending notes, e-mails and texts, and helping with emergencies.

The problems for me, is I have one sister who... Mon, 2 Apr 2012 23:38:39 EST General Conference Is it o.k. if I start a new post? Haha. I just thought we could have a really great discussion on the talks from General Conference! How did you guys watch/listen to G.C. (in person, at home, radio, etc)? What was your favorite talk?

Personally, I watched G.C. on T.V. at home. I loved President Uchtdorf's, as well as Elder Perry's talk about deliverance. Of course, Elder Holland's talk was also one of my favorites.

Also, I missed the Saturday sessions when they were orig... Mon, 2 Apr 2012 21:30:51 EST Women in the Scriptures

This is a fun website :) I cannot remember how I stumbled over this site but it has a fun challenge if anyone wants to do it. It is reading all 4 works and writing in a journal about all the women you come across in all the books. It is just an idea for anyone who wants to do a different challenge. It is still reading all the books but you journal about the women. I lover her site and I like how it is empowering. Wed, 28 Mar 2012 01:02:26 EST Wanting Additional Support :) I am finally entering the message board forums....I love and am well on my way to losing what I need to lose. I have lost about 12 pounds since December, but I want to lose a little faster than that and I am hoping that by starting a blog ( and participating in message boards I will learn more to help me and stay motivated by the online community! :) I am a stay at home wife and mother of 3 children. Fri, 9 Mar 2012 09:18:41 EST My SINCERE Apologies Here I am made new Co-Leader of the group, and I have not been on to help reorganize things. I wanted to give a SINCERE "I'm sorry for that." We just found out after I was made co-leader that I was pregnant with our third child, we're trying to close the deal on a bigger house to accommodate our growing family, and on Saturday, we're going to the Louisville Temple to be Sealed. :) So you can say that I DEFINITELY have valid reasons for being busy. LOL.

After this weekend I pro... Thu, 9 Feb 2012 14:22:53 EST Yay! I'm back to stay!! Okay not going to lie I completely fell off the wagon! I had so much go on in the last 5 months it's been crazy!!!! I'm so so happy to be back. I'm really needing the support from this group especially to help continue to build my testimony. As some know I was a convert and I'm looking so forward to meeting all you ladies or at least say hi to every single person in the group! :) Thu, 9 Feb 2012 14:09:10 EST Proposing a new team goal I wonder if we could add a goal of monthly temple attendance to the team goals. This is something that I am trying to work on. It seems that teams can add a monthly goal, but it needs to be weekly for an individual goal to make a streak. Thanks. Ruth Sat, 4 Feb 2012 14:16:27 EST New to the team Hi, I've been with SP for over 4 months now and have finally found something that really works for me. I do HAVE to keep count of my calories though so that I don't fall; however, I've re-done all of my recipes to show the nutrient content so I don't mind counting. I always hated eating something different than my family, but now I eat what they do, I just have to count it.
I have 8 children (4 still at home) and 2 grandsons. I've been blessed to be a stay at home mom even though I've... Fri, 3 Feb 2012 17:12:44 EST I have "too many teams" clutter So I had to narrow down to my favorite team beacuse I spend too long on the computer when I get on to check all of my stuff. When I finish up I realize I had just sat there for an hour and a half. Does any one else have that problem? Thu, 2 Feb 2012 12:15:22 EST I'm back!! Well ladies after a short year-long hiatus from SparkPeople and this team, due to a time consuming promotion at work, I am back with a vengeance. I have to be, due to the stress of this so-called promotion, I gained 45 lbs. this past year!

Some of you might remember me. I'm the klutz that broke her ankle two years ago and doesn't know how she did it. This was right after reaching my goal weight also. Things haven't gotten any better either- I tore my meniscus and had to have knee s... Tue, 24 Jan 2012 21:05:18 EST Hi! It took me a few days on SparkPeople to think to search for this group, but I'm glad I found it! I'm a 29-year old SAHM to 3 little ones. I'm from Arizona, but have lived in UT and IA, and we currently live in Virginia. I have about 45 lbs to lose, and I'm excited to be here and to make some new friends! Mon, 23 Jan 2012 09:34:13 EST Family Home Evening This Week What are your plans? Mon, 23 Jan 2012 08:13:30 EST I'm excited to be in this group!!! I am from Idaho and am hoping to find support to help me reach my goals. Glad to find a group with common interests. I am completely computer illiterate so it has taken me hours to get this far. 24 Hope to find some friends along the way to keep motivated. Fri, 20 Jan 2012 15:51:05 EST Just wanted to say Howdy!!! Howdy! I am 48 years old!! I am working on getting healthier. 345 I need to do this for my health and to be here for my grandchildren. I am also a complusive overeater. I am working with OA and TOPS as well. I need all the assistance I can get. I am not really able to exercise much right now as I have hurt my knee pretty bad. It has really helped me by doing the LDS recovery workbook and with that I have grown closer to my Father in Heaven! Look forward to getting to know you! Vick... Wed, 18 Jan 2012 20:43:44 EST New and loving the support! I'm probably a typical SAHM mom from Northern Utah. I'm 31 and have 100 lbs to go til goal. I joined Spark in November, but didn't get serious until January. I have two boys (4&2) and a husband who is very supportive of our whole family getting a little healthier. I freaked out when I realized that my kid's were eating like me, so I decided it was time to show them the right way by example. That entails a pretty significant change on my part. I'm still getting oriented and learning how... Wed, 18 Jan 2012 12:58:35 EST Hello! Hello to the LDS Ladies team!

I've been a member of Spark People for over a year but never figured out we have our own little community! I'm glad to see that we do...

I'm looking forward to participating with the several topics on the forum and hope to support and be supported in my healthy lifestyle-related and other goals! Thu, 5 Jan 2012 10:38:25 EST New to the team Hi. I am happy to join with other LDS ladies trying to live the spark people way. Wed, 4 Jan 2012 12:21:20 EST Mommy of 6-New to SparkPeople! I have 5 kiddo's (10, 8, 5, 3 and 21 months) and 1 on the way and am trying to gain no more than 10-15 lbs. I've already gained 7. Then I'm hoping to get back into shape. It has been harder to do that with each additional baby so I know that I'm going to need motivation and help!

I'm a mostly SAHM. I teach swim lessons a few hours a week and own my own business making Custom Digital Scrapbooks. I'm also homeschooling and this is my first year. So I'm quite busy and more than a litt... Tue, 3 Jan 2012 09:19:53 EST Happy New Year! 2012--Share a resolution I hope that you are looking forward to a new fresh start!

This year one of my resolutions is to be more connected to my family members through regular letters and phone calls to those who are far away. I have a tracker set up on my other goals page to help me be consistent in doing this. Sun, 1 Jan 2012 11:46:03 EST Book of Mormon Challenge This year we will be studying the Book of Mormon in Sunday School. I would like to challenge everyone to commit to read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover this year, and I hope that you will post some of your insights as you read here to share with the rest of us.

I am giving the introductory lesson on the Book of Mormon as the keystone of our religion. I have been interested in reading 2 Nephi chapter 27, which tells about the coming forth of the Book of Mormon in our day. Eve... Sun, 1 Jan 2012 11:40:28 EST New Team Co-Leader Hello everyone! :) I guess I just got accepted as the new Team Co-Leader! :)

I'll be going over the group over the next few days and seeing what we can update and change around to keep our group not only active, but growing stronger in size, in support of each other, and in support of Heavenly Father. Stay tuned, and big hugs to you all! :) Wed, 23 Nov 2011 15:12:09 EST Newish I joined this group quite awhile ago, but I never really used the groups. However, I would like to start. I need support in my life as I just moved across the country! I am a little over halfway to my goal since starting last October. Mon, 14 Nov 2011 11:26:54 EST Working out on Sunday What is your view? Do you do it, do you feel it not appropriate, do you feel it part of respecting the Word of Wisdom by keeping your body healthy, etc? Sun, 30 Oct 2011 19:46:44 EST Anyone Serve a Mission? I looked and could only find one for missionary moms. I was just curious who served a mission and what their experiences were. I went to the New Hampshire, Manchester Mission. I loved it and love the people there. What a great experience it was to give my life over for 18 months and see people go through changes that cannot be descibed. I think often of my time there and am happy about the change it made in me! 334 Tue, 11 Oct 2011 14:37:41 EST Newbie....Kinda I am kinda new to SP. I was here a year ago but had surgery and lost the motivation to continue. I am recently married and looking forward to looking good for my hubby! I can do with any kinda motivation anyone can give me. :) Mon, 10 Oct 2011 12:46:55 EST How do you handle FASTING with SP diet? Hi,
I introduced myself recently as Mixnmill but changed my name as I decided not to use my business name for SparkPeople. So now you know who I am.
I'm wondering how you ladies (or gents) handle fasting with the SparkPeople diet. Do you catch up on filling your minimums in the categories at the dinner meal? Just have a "short day" on calories etc.? How does it affect your weight loss? Sun, 9 Oct 2011 18:08:07 EST New to group I've been on Sparkpeople for a few months. I had my fourth/last baby last year and I'm still working on losing 20-25 lbs. Hi! from me. Sat, 8 Oct 2011 02:39:34 EST New to SparkPeople and loving it! Hi, I joined several weeks ago and have already lost 10#! My daughter recommended this and also a friend. She told me "if you eat it, track it!" and that is what I have been doing ever since! I love how it shows you not only the calories but the different categories to monitor as well. I have been very creative to stay within those categories every day!
I have had an asthma flare up so have not been able to do the exercising like i'd like and besides, after joining the Wii Fit group I d... Thu, 6 Oct 2011 18:05:05 EST New from Idaho, in need of some Spark buddies. Hi, I'm new to Spark people. I'm a little overwhelmed and a little lost, but I'm so over this extra 90 lbs I'm carrying around and I want to lose it! I have a problem with self-motivation (huge problem) so any friends and support I can get would be wonderful! Thu, 6 Oct 2011 02:31:35 EST Ward Cliques I have never been a part of a clique in a ward setting until I moved to this ward. I was invited by a woman to a cabin retreat on our first year living in the ward. Each year we would go. We had a blast we would laugh and let all our frustrations out. We would talk and talk, play games, laugh, and hike.Sometimes the conversation would be a little on the rough side and I would feel uncormfortable and laugh or try to change the subject. I grew very close to one of the sisters and we go on dates... Sat, 24 Sep 2011 23:27:22 EST Convert at Washington State I thought this would be pretty cool to do SparkPeople with a bunch of LDS ladies, and guess what..... I found you!

I'm 19 and am going to Washington State University. I joined the church on October 3, 2010 between General Conference sessions and I'm waiting for a missionary who gets home in 2 months.

He's my motivation to lose weight right now. Tue, 20 Sep 2011 16:47:53 EST Stake conference My sister's stake is having thier conference this upcoming weekend. The Stake president is being released and also there will be a General Authority" from SLC... I told her yesterday I want to stay over at her place and go to church with them. So I will go up Saturday early in the day, go to the evening session and stay overnight and go to the Sunday session as well. I am quite excited. I have never been to one when there has been a GA - actually I don't usually go to stake conferences a... Tue, 13 Sep 2011 00:50:33 EST temple wedding invitation question My boyfriend and I are getting married in the sd temple in march and he is designing our invitations. Only his family and my mom's side are members so we're looking for a polite/respectful way of explaining why everyone cannot watch the ceremony, in the invitation itself. I remember reading a really cute/spiritual passage or quote in an lds invitation when I was in middle school explaining just that and in a very understandable way but I never wrote it down back then and have no idea who's it... Sun, 11 Sep 2011 04:14:46 EST I'm getting somewhere! I had this goal to lose 10 lbs this past month and I worked really hard at it but I didn't quit make it. I lost 8 lbs. Sept 1st was our 20th anniversary and my husband took me out to a nice restaurant so I didn't stick to my diet that day and ended up gaining 3 lbs by the time we got back from our little get-a-way. I ended up losing that by the end of the month though (which was 9/6 - a month from when I started). So I was very bummed and was looking for some motivation when I realized tha... My mother has been on here (KYGRANDMA) and she has done very well so I thought I would try it all for myself. I'm Alli and I'm from Kentucky and I'm 23. I attend the young single adult branch here and I am the Relief Society President. Just as the primary song says, "I know who I am and I know Gods plan," I'm trying to be a better me that can fulfill all that He has in store for me.... Mon, 22 Aug 2011 09:21:02 EST Question on Coffee from a 9 month Convert Hello

I gave up drinking coffee in September of 2010 with no problems at all.

I keep coming across recipes that use coffee as a flavouring - either coffee flavouring drops or coffee granules mixed with a little water to add to a recipe. Are we allowed to use that or not please???

Fri, 12 Aug 2011 09:39:20 EST Hello from England! Hi

I converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in November 2010 and can honestly say that it was the best thing I have ever done. My only regret is that I should have done it sooner.

Got my first Calling in June - as Relief Society Secretary - and so far it is all going so well.

Really into Family History - since January 2011 have got all my lines back to 1740. Now working out sideways on the tree.

I love going to the Temple. Will... Fri, 12 Aug 2011 07:28:51 EST Please share any "Ah Ha" moments you've had lately I had this a few weeks ago but it was VERY powerful to me. I felt the Spirit taught me the extreme importance of "Acceptance". I must accept and love ME right here and now! I may still want to lose more weight but the weight is NOT who I am. The weight is not me! I think when we think about ourselves we define ourselves at least in our minds that the weight is who we are. I'm not the extra weight. My body might be carrying extra weight but that is not who I am. I am a person that love... Sat, 6 Aug 2011 10:40:07 EST another newb Hi there. I was on sparkpeople years ago when it had very few features. lol It was a decent site, even back then, but it's sure come a LONG way! Anyway, I'm trying to kind of find myself I suppose and thought this would be a good place to start.

I've been a single mom with almost no help for a long time, and I recently married one of my oldest and dearest childhood friends. The kids are used to taking up the slack on things like cooking and cleaning so I could work from home and s... Sat, 30 Jul 2011 05:35:45 EST Introducing myself I recently joined SP and am SLOWLY finding my way around here. I had RNY surgery several years ago and have about 80 pounds left to lose. I co-teach early morning seminary and really, really need support. Please feel free to add me as a friend! Tue, 26 Jul 2011 18:15:02 EST The Still Small Voice Okay Ladies, I know I'm new here (since Tuesday!) but I had to share an experience I had this week.

I have been recently contemplating getting a job. I know it'll be hard to work and go to school and take care of my disabled husband and kids, but I was at a point that my husband's disability just wasn't enough to get us through financially. Even with the help of our Bishop finding us a cheaper place to live, we still struggle. But no jobs ever seemed to be available for a CNA here... Fri, 22 Jul 2011 08:05:37 EST Big decision to make! I have an opportunity to get my kids into a language immersion school in our school district. They are just starting 2nd grade and this is the last grade level that the program will allow students who haven't been in the program to apply.

This is a huge decision for us. It would mean my kids leaving all the kids they have gone to school with for the last two years. They wouldn't go to school with anyone in our immediate area. They would be taught in French for half the day at schoo... Wed, 20 Jul 2011 20:25:33 EST Hello from Ephraim, Utah! Hello all!!

I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I hope I can finally shed some of this unwanted poundage and get back to a happy and healthier me! Tue, 19 Jul 2011 10:23:08 EST Weight loss advice in the Ensign! Okay, okay. The message wasn't actually about weight loss, but it really can work for weight loss as well. In the July Ensign, the First Presidency Message was from President Uchtdorf. You need to read it!! It is about being committed to our covenants. Such a great message! It is something that I have been trying to work on. Anyway, some quotes from it that also can be applied to weight loss are:

"Commitment is a little like diving into the water. Either you are committed or you ar... Mon, 11 Jul 2011 09:20:16 EST Hey hey hey! Hi all! I've been on SP for a few years, but just found this team. I haven't been overly active on the blogs, teams, and message boards, but I do enjoy getting to know others and learning from you all.

I currently live in Northern Utah (Davis County). I am 34, married to my tall hunk-o-love hubby for 8 1/2 years, and we have 7-year old twins. I am a work at home mom (WAHM), and I'm so grateful that I have that opportunity. I love music, reading, camping, fishing, children, and I'm ... Sun, 10 Jul 2011 14:50:27 EST New from Western Washington Hi everyone!

I have been sparking since March of 2010, but only really seriously tracking since August. Glad to have found an LDS group of sisters for support!

Thanks!
Heather 437 Sat, 9 Jul 2011 18:50:00 EST Emotional Eating question Do you have problems with emotional eating? If so, how do you deal with it or control it? Wed, 29 Jun 2011 12:34:19 EST How is your weekend going? Today our ward did some service in the community today. It was fun! I enjoyed being with other church members and dear friends. It was hot but we still had fun. We painted a structure in one of our parks. It looked so much better after we were finished. Tomorrow I will be going to one of our unit's branch conferences. I always enjoy going to them and be with other members in our stake. This unit is a very small branch. I love going to these units the best because it's like they are so... Sat, 25 Jun 2011 19:53:25 EST Whole foods Do you understand the difference between whole foods and processed foods? What are some of the things you like to make with whole foods that make a great meal? Thu, 23 Jun 2011 10:31:32 EST Good Tip for the day! Do you eat because you are hungry or just to eat? So many times we eat when we are not even hungry. A lot of the time we are triggered by different things that make us think we need to eat something, whether it is a TV ad or an emotion or something else and we will eat without even being hungry. This can definitely can be a thing that will pack on extra pounds. Do you ever ask yourself before you eat something, "What is triggering the need for me to eat? Am I REALLY hungry or not?" Put yo... Mon, 20 Jun 2011 19:30:42 EST Stake Relief Society Meeting Hey Everyone!
We are going to be planning our Stake Relief Society Meeting soon. Wed, 15 Jun 2011 14:44:10 EST What's everyone having for breakfast today? I'm having a fresh strawberry smoothie with whole wheat toast and butter. Boy is it good! It's something pretty quick to fix. What are you all having? Wed, 15 Jun 2011 07:28:35 EST Something interesting about food sensitivity One of the GREAT benefits of learning to slow down while you eat is that you also learn to hear or feel signals that your body is telling you. Your body will send you signals that you really never caught before. It's super important to start listening to it and recognize what it's telling you!
Since I've been eating much more healthier, I've noticed a few things that my body has been telling me and I never made the connection. I read an article the other day that was talking about foo... Tue, 14 Jun 2011 10:01:08 EST My Slow Down Challenge My challenge to everyone is to take 2 weeks and slow down while you eat every meal. Sit where you can see a clock or use a timer. Put your fork or spoon down between each bite. Take a deep breath or two, REALLY enjoy every bite, enjoy the flavor, try and pick out the spices you taste as you eat, and enjoy the aroma of your food. ALSO put away your dinner plates and get your saucer plates out. Don't over flow our stack your plate really high with food. Do this for 2 weeks with every mea... Mon, 13 Jun 2011 17:03:40 EST Do you have the "Speed Disease"? We live in a world that wants everything right now and we have turned into speed demons! Where has that gotten us? We have SO many more health issues because of the "speed disease". We have uncontrollable stress levels. We have heart problems and high blood pressure. Think about all the drugs that have come out in the last few years that treat Acid Reflux. This is definitely a symptom of high stress living. And one consequence of the speed disease is obesity. Even low levels of constant ... Mon, 13 Jun 2011 16:56:25 EST New Team Co-Leader, Let me introduce myself! Hi Everyone!
I'm THRILLED to be a part of such a wonderful group of LDS women! I really LOVE Spark People and shared it with many people. I've had my ups and downs with weight for about 30 years now. I didn't start having problems with weight until I started having our children. I have trie... Yesterday was Fast Sunday so I only ate one meal, but I was snacking on food while I was getting the meal prepared. Also we sometimes eat more rich foods on Sunday than the other days of the week. When I logged what I ate, I found that the one meal plus pre-dinner snackes equalled almost the same amount of calories as a full day on normal days.

Do you have the same dilemma, or do your calories for the day reflect that you only ate one meal.

Just curious, (I want to know ... Mon, 6 Jun 2011 08:32:05 EST The paranormal What is everyone's take on it? Acceptable or not? Is there room for church members to be paranormal investigators? My sister-in-law just recently got a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I don't feel like anyone but her can decide if what she did was right or not, but at the same time her decision brought these questions to my mind. How is it different from getting a tattoo? Yet, if it's something the church is against they would have said so right? Mon, 30 May 2011 15:56:23 EST Newish to Sparkpeople & to the team. I've been a sparkpeople member for about a month now and I LOVE it! I am a mother of 2 awesome girls, ages 5 & sweet/terrible 2. My husband is in Pharmacy school so I'm basically a single parent for the next 4 years. I've come to know that daily exercise is almost just as important as daily prayer in helping to maintain my sanity. Mon, 30 May 2011 13:19:25 EST Temple gardening It escapes a lot of us just how much work goes into maintaining the grounds at our temples. Think about it, all the watering that has to be done multiple times a week (and those of us under water restrictions cannot use the sprinklers), pruning, dead heading, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, replanting, mulching--there is SO MUCH that goes into it! Not all temples pay companies to come out and take care of everything. The care of the grounds then falls on the shoulders of the members.
<BR... Wed, 25 May 2011 13:50:38 EST Hello I am new! Tue, 17 May 2011 16:42:18 EST Taking baby steps to get back on track. I struggle with chronic fatigue and often use food to comfort myself when I'm feeling run down and achy. It's a vicious cycle. I have been symptom free in the past and I know I can be symptom free again, if I live a healthy lifestyle and do everything in moderation. I have also been successful at losing weight in the past. I need to be accountable and set small, reachable goals. What does everyone else think about the subject of energy drinks? Fri, 6 May 2011 14:22:20 EST Sugary treats in schools So how many of you have kids in school and have noticed how many times they come home reporting either a party of some kind or treats of somekind? It feels like once a week half the time and I know many of our teachers use candy as motivators. It just irks me because its such a BAD message as well as being a terrible practice. Have you done anything about it? If so, share your ideas! Thu, 5 May 2011 10:25:13 EST A speech on healing

ling.html

This is from the TED conference (which if you don't know about you can learn about on the link) and is just kind of interesting. One of the things I took from it is that I'm sometimes overeating and goofing off in unproductive ways as a result of lonliness. I know I'm adult deprived but I hadn't seen it as such a big problem until Dr. Ornish put it in the context of health and happiness.

What did you thin... It's been GRAY for DAYS here in Utah. I've been trying to be super good about my eating so I don't think I've caused myself problems with my choices, so it seems like maybe it's the weather! Yeah, the weather! How about you? Have you noticed different eating habits as a result of the weather? Anyone dealing with ...oh what's that illness called when no sunshine gets you down? Mon, 25 Apr 2011 16:10:16 EST A sugar replacement challenge! So, here's the challenge: replace one of those overt sugars with something else...fruit or veggies or whatever. Consciously choose to replace (not just take it out) with something wonderfully healthy. Report what you replaced and what you replaced it with.

I am loving fresh pineapple as a replacement because it is so sweet but good for you. Mon, 25 Apr 2011 13:19:52 EST Identifying your triggers Has anyone successfully identified your food/lifestyle triggers and then developed a working strategy to avoid them? Thu, 21 Apr 2011 19:09:04 EST Flexing new muscles So, I was virtuous in more than just my eating last week. I really tried hard to defeat some self defeating behaviors (see my blog on my spark page if you want more info on that), but by the end of the week I found myself exhausted with trying to be good, do good, feel good, eat good, work good...and so on. I figured I'd done something wrong and that the Lord had/has some other plan than the way I was attacking my self-defeating behaviors, because I shouldn't feel exhausted, right?

... Sat, 16 Apr 2011 15:25:17 EST Your favorite "virtuous" recipe? I have quite a few recipes now that just make me feel virtuous when I eat them. They're generally heavy on veggies, low on fat, high on taste, and I fix them despite the complaints of my children. My newest one is gyros.

Warm whole wheat flatbread in the oven at 400 for two minutes.
Mix 1/2 a pkg of ranch powder with 3/4s cup plain greek yogurt
Slice cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes.
Saute onions in a bit of olive oil they start to soften.
Spread warmed flat bread ... Sat, 16 Apr 2011 12:14:37 EST Healthy & Happy, rather than thin For those who don't know, I have fibromyalgia and that makes it tough to keep an exercise regimen going and tough to eat right on the days I'm down. For me that means that I need to "give up" on the goal of being thin. I need to learn to be happy in my skin (even if there's too much of it) and learn to be healthy when I can and not overly obsessive when I can't. I'm getting there, but it's a slow process.

But I think that maybe we all need to love who we are, extra fat and all, whi... Mon, 4 Apr 2011 15:54:31 EST Finding the Strength A few weeks ago I somehow found the motivation to put my desires into actions!! 11 months ago I had a beautiful little baby girl Adrianna (my 3rd child in 4 years). But with this wonderful little spirit came a challenge I never thought I would ever have to face. During delivery I had a very rare complication called Amniotic Fluid Embolism. Wed, 30 Mar 2011 20:18:05 EST How are you preparing for General Conference? The last two Sunday School lessons I taught things have been brought up on how important it is to prepare for General Conference. The first lesson was on the parable of the sower. There were four plots of ground, all of the plots of ground received the seed, or the word of God, but only the seed only grew completely in the "good ground." I live in a ward of farmers, and we talked about how good ground does not just happen, it has to be prepared. I told the class then that we should start prep... Mon, 28 Mar 2011 13:54:06 EST Newbie! They have became more than just the missionaries that taught my daughter and my husband to prepare them for their baptisms; they have became family to us. They walked in the door, intent on teaching us from a stake conference paper that they had received in which the Elder doing the talk was discussing overcoming the nature of man, particularly in eating. Watching what you eat, not eating as much, and just having more control... Wed, 19 Jan 2011 15:36:56 EST I'm Having A Hard Time Getting Back On Track! I use to be a real regular here and was pretty successful in my weight loss. I went from being pretty sedimentary and not caring about what I ate to being very active and being very careful with food and in the process lost 45 lbs. Just over a year ago while riding my bike I got hit and then run over by a pick up truck and injuring my right thigh and that put a stop to my activity. I have tried off and on since my leg has shown enough improvement to start exercising to get going again. I ... Mon, 20 Sep 2010 23:03:48 EST Walking with God As we strive to gain better health and fitness, one of the easiest forms of physical activity is walking. It is low impact, simple movement that can be easily adjusted as far as time and intensity. I try to walk daily.

One week in Gospel Doctrine, the teacher asked if we were walking with God. We walk in the grocery store, we may walk at work, or we may walk for fitness- are we walking with God? If you look up walking with God in the Topical Guide of our scriptures, there is a full... I live on the lovely eastcoast of New Zealand, Gisborne. I have 3 beautiful children 2 teenage boys and a 21 year old girl. I am really pleased to see there is an LDS team, because there's a team that would understand when i say the main reason for wanting to finally do something about my healthy, is due to the constant promptings to live the 'word of wisdom'. Great to be here.
Barb Wed, 25 Aug 2010 04:25:09 EST Amazing article on gratitude This article was just inspiring! More specifically the Logan region. I am not looking forward to going back. Funny how I was not looking forward to moving back home when I came back home 12 years ago. The stress is killer on my diet. I know that because I do not drive in the snow, I will be doing a lot of walking and catching the bus. The good news is that this will add up to about 10 -15 lbs without trying hard. I lost about that much when I moved there ... Thu, 5 Aug 2010 13:35:26 EST Day 1- Take 3,275,322 I'm pretty sure I've hit my rock bottom (well as far as weight loss issues). I weigh more today than I did when ANY of my children were born.
