My goal is to stick with an exercise plan and to reduce the amount of sugary foods I eat and replace them with more healthy choices. My husband and I were encouraged to start a "plant based diet" and have done well until we got off course. I am back. He- not so much. I have another 30-40 lbs. to lose. Milestones: Fitness is wonderful. I did a 5K in 43 minutes. I couldn't imagine being able to do that. Physically, I feel strong. Weight: I've lost almost 50 pounds, moving is easier, sleeping is easier. Healthy foods taste great. Pita chips, baked sweet potato chips, plain nonfat yogurt. Veggies of all kinds. How do you manage to not gain weight when you are forced to sit around and wait for an injury to heal? How do you manage the depression that comes with not being able to exercise?
