This past summer I even danced at a club with my troupe, something I never thought I would do. Anyway, hope to get to meet you all and share our love of Tribal! Tue, 4 Oct 2011 16:49:01 EST New to belly dance world I joined a group called PURE, in the city I live about 1 month ago, they meet once a week. Started a class once a week 2 weeks ago. The pain started after learning giant undulations. Couldn't tell you how many, but it was MANY!!! Both instructors were ill last week, so it has been 2 weeks that I haven't been doing any giant undulations. Absolutely fell in love with this form of dance, and don't want to stop! I started with low back pain, that is horrible. Will this go away with persiste... Maybe they will feel the sisterhood and see the beauty in the dance. First I want to say that I appreciate all forms of belly dance and I have fro the last 6 years. I started out in Cabaret, then moved on to some kind of fusion, folkloric, to my love, ATS. I have been part of an ATS (really ITS) dance troupe for the past 3 years. We fuse together Fatchance with Gypsy Caravan. My teacher and friend trained with Paulette of Gypsy Caravan and will soon be getting certified by Carolena of Fatchance Belly Dance. My friend/teacher j... Wed, 29 Dec 2010 09:38:45 EST Holiday Season 2010 Challenge Did you know that the average American can gain about a pound on average between just Thanksgiving and Christmas? It may not be much, but for us Sparkers a step back is a step back! That's not the direction we want to go at all! Staying on track during the holidays is something that well all dread. But I have good news! We're probably making it out to be worse than it is:

"The researchers also found that study volunteers believed that they had gained much more weight than they actu... My holiday is due in a fortnight, so I thought now would be a good time to formulate some kind of practice routine for myself with my DVD's and get really stuck in to my learning.

My goals:
1) Create the habit of a short routine I can continue do everyday, even once I'm off holiday.
2) Putting together some long sessions for my time on holiday working on different areas - cleaning up my technique, nailing my drilling down and extending my yoga practice.

My fea... Sun, 6 Jun 2010 07:39:14 EST Hello from Oz Hi! I'm fairly new to Tribal, I came back into an interest for belly dance due to Goth/Dark Fusion which lead into Tribal Fusion and has now peaked my interest in ATS.
ITS is a totally new terminology again to me, yet something else I feel I need to expand my knowledge on! And I will also confess to being totally vague about Folkloric as well. But I hope to learn more about it all as time goes by. Sun, 6 Jun 2010 06:57:05 EST (Sort of) New to SP Hi folks! This is my first time posting here, although I've used SP on and off since January. Great site!

I'm a 30-something with about 20 pounds to lose. My main challenge is that I have two young sons who are picky, and they (along with my husband) don't need to lose any weight at all. This creates all sorts of havoc in our grocery shopping and cooking habits, as I'd like to use low-fat options but my sons especially need all the calories and fat they can get. Same with my dear h...
