I work at an elementary school which I absolutely love. Not only do I work with some awesome kids, I also have some ... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 22:50:38 EST I am new! Hi,

My name is Michelle. I am 33 years old and have been trying to conceive for 3 years. I recently have been having some pretty awful issues. I was seeing an RE but after several failed months of Clomid, we stopped to focus on weight loss. On July 9th, I started bleeding for no reason and have not stopped. My OB/GYN did a D&C in August to try and stop the bleeding (she was hoping if she scraped me then it would "clean" me up and the bleeding would stop) but so far nothing has... Mon, 1 Oct 2012 12:43:19 EST Hola! My name is Lizzie. On my page I actually have a blog entry about PCOS. I was diagnosed this summer. My boyfriend and I want to have kids and the dr said my chances are low not only because of PCOS but I had a miscarraige and didn't go to the dr or hospital so there's some scar tissue and some other things. Nobody in my family has been able to have more that one kid and I want lots. So here I am trying to lose weight so we can have kids. I joined like a month ago and went from 225 to 216lbs bu... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 11:54:23 EST Need some spark buddies!!! Hi everybody. I joined spark a long time ago, but I fell off. Since I'm basically starting over, I deleted the old profile and made an entirely new one. one of my favorite things about sparkpeople is the motivation of being able to find others who are in the same position as you and work together to achieve your goals. That being said, I'm in need of some spark-friends to help and motivate back and forth, trade recipes, etc.. If anyone is new on here (or not) and would like some new spar... Mon, 24 Sep 2012 13:46:50 EST Hello Everyone :) Hello,

I am very excited about joining this group. I have had PCOS for about 7 years now and it's very hard. Obese, facial hair, stretch marks, not feeling normal. My mother has had it most of her life as well. My husband loves me despite all of this though but that is always a worry.

I look forward to all of your help. Sat, 15 Sep 2012 02:31:31 EST Laura McLey Hello, my name is Laura. I have struggled with my weight for 15 years now. I have P.C.O.S. which makes it even more difficult to loose weight. I have 75lbs to loose. I want to loose the weight not only for me but for my family too. I have a very active 3 year old and sometimes it is hard to keep up with him. I also have arthritis in my back so I am hoping that if I get the weight off maybe the pain will lesson. Wed, 12 Sep 2012 23:51:51 EST First Workout in a long time I finally bit the bullet this morning, put on my big girl pants and got my butt moving. I had taken a good look at the workout videos on SP and with many of them being less then 20 minutes I had no excuse to not start doing them. (I usually have about an hour to kill after dropping hubby off at work and having to get ready for work myself). So I did a 12 minute cardio video and I am totally proud of myself. I have set myself a goal that if I do at least 1 video per day for the next 10 days I ... Wed, 12 Sep 2012 09:33:14 EST Hello Hello,
I am fairly new to SP, I signed up years ago and never used it. Finally decided it was time to really commit to myself instead of my job.
I have been diagnosed with PCOS and LOR (Low ovarian reserve) which is a really sharp double edged sword since the traditional PCOS treatment worsens the LOR, so we are currently on hiatus from fertility treatments while I prepare for my wedding next August and get my body to a better size to respond to the treatments.
I was so please... After that everything was fine. I lost 16lbs. I moved up to 500mg and o my, I could not pull myself out of bed on the 3rd day of it and I was constipated bad. Tue, 28 Aug 2012 21:21:25 EST Emotional Eater For years, my weight has been fluctuating by 10, 20, even 30 pounds! I couldn't seem to find out why, and I finally realized it was due to my bingeing. I noticed I would reach for food, even when I was not hungry all out of emotions! I'm finally ready to recognize my emotions (and actually hunger) so I can finally lose 30-40 pounds and be happy and healthy again! I'm hoping spark people will help me meet people who can inspire me and keep me on track! Mon, 27 Aug 2012 20:37:31 EST If you have a cycle each month does that mean? I am a little confused , I have a regular period every month, about 30-35 days cycles. The doctor told me to lose weight, and I told him if you have a period can you not ovulate, he said you have to ovulate to have a period...I am lost does anyone know for sure if I am ovulating? we have been not preventing for 3.5 years now, I tried metformin at 250 mg i was feeling good bumped to 500mg and was tired and constipated bad... so if you can help me know if I am are not. Thu, 2 Aug 2012 13:40:35 EST Hello Hi Everyone.

I just turned 35, and have been TTC for over a year and a half now, and it has taken over all thoughts and actions in my life. About 8 months ago I was diagnosed with PCOS, and started Metformin. I had gained about 50 pounds in the past 4 years, but have been having a hard time finding motivation to lose weight when all I really want to see is my belly GROWING with a baby. Just over a year ago, I joined Weight Watchers and lost about 10 pounds in 3 months. It was d... Tue, 31 Jul 2012 11:45:51 EST Hi everyone! I'm pretty sure there are only a handful of people who will actually be reading this so here it goes. Lol. I'm 17 and I'll turn 18 in November. Sun, 8 Jul 2012 14:18:49 EST Getting this off my chest I was told by my ob/gyn that every woman "suffers" from PCOS!!! This was not the person who diagnosed me. I went to a fertility center and was diagnosed. This was the woman that delivered my baby and about 2 years after I had her, I started gaining weight again and stopped having periods. I went to her and that is what she told me. She said "Every woman goes through PCOS at some point in their life, it's not really that big of a deal"......Oh, I see, so all those doctors that found out it ha... My name is Brindy and I was diagnosed with PCOS in September 2011 even though I am sure I should have been diagnosed about 10 years ago when I was first having problems. Right now I am currently taking Clomid for 5 days and then once my follicules are large enough they are going to have me give myself a shot of Ovidrel and then I will have my first IUI done. Does this sound like a pretty common routine for IUI. I have been reading some of the posts on here about a lot of people bei... I was very athletic in high school and VERY in shape, but once HS was over and I was no longer involved with sports I gained weight. Upon meeting husband 6 years about my weight has gone up and up. Wed, 25 Jan 2012 20:07:17 EST Hello I am so glad that I was able to find some other people dealing with the same issues as me. I really hope this helps with my weight loss journey. Sometimes it is too hard to talk about weight loss with others because they don't really know how hard it can be. It seems like even when I am doing everything right I still can't lose weight and I only gain. Wed, 11 Jan 2012 08:08:51 EST Hey everybody :) Hi my name is Danielle, I have had Pcos for the past 5 years and it has just gotten worse over the years so has my weight, and my health. So last week was when i went and saw a new doctor a endocrinologist and she really gave it to me about how horrible this is for me and especially since i want children. Wed, 4 Jan 2012 08:13:26 EST To all of those just starting out..... I can remember clearly how daunting it was just to get started. It wasn't the first time I needed to lose a large amount of weight but at 258 pounds and only 5 ft 2" it was the highest I'd ever been. I just want to urge you to dedicate yourself to this for ONE month and I promise you you'll see changes so quickly that you'll want to carry on. After only one month I was able to do things that I'd thought would never be possible for me again. I couldn't do up the seat belt on the plane or in the... My hope in coming here is to find the motivation I need to make healthy changes in my life. Sun, 27 Nov 2011 08:38:10 EST Hey y'all So I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I know you ALL know how it feels, but boy I am a mess. This is so painful. What is even harder is that my ob/gyn (whom I totally love and trust) is wary of putting me on Clomid or anything because although I weigh a lot, I am very petite and have a very small stature (I am only 4'10") and she is not sure she wants to see me with a pregnancy that might be a multiple I think I am going to start looking into adoption, while simultaneously usi... It's beyond annoying how our hormones can do this to calories. I know that if I keep it up, staying within my calorie range, then I will eventually lose weight. I know this.

HOWEVER, it's so frustrating to go to bed hungry and feel like you had really good productive days and then not see that progress on the scale - i... I had another RE appointment yesterday and wanted to pass along some info I had not heard before. If you have breast or ovarian cancer in your family you should get the BRCA genetic test done. My doc said that clomid can increase your risk of ovarian cancer, especially if you have the BRCA gene mutation. This is the first I heard this, so I am getting the genetic test (mom and three paternal aunts had breast cancer) and depending on what the results show I'll either start clomid or FS...
