SparkPeople Masons On SPARKPEOPLE - Brothers Helping Brothers Team Messageboard This is the place for members of the Masonic fraternity to meet, work together and spread the spark. SparkPeople Masons On SPARKPEOPLE - Brothers Helping Brothers Team Messageboard What Are Your Hobbies? Masons are multi-dimensional people who have many interests besides freemasonry. Let's use this topic to let your brothers know about your interests. This could be the start of a Masonic pilots, fishermen or golfer's club, who knows? In my case, I am also a ham radio operator and a wannabe pilot studying for his license. Fri, 27 Feb 2015 09:46:13 EST Let's Meet Here During The Summer Brothers,
Looks like summer is around the corner. In many Masonic jurisdictions that means that lodges will go dark for the summer, giving lots of Masons lots of time on their hands. If you miss the Masonic fellowship of your lodge during the summer, why not come here and interact with your SparkPeople brethren? While this isn't a lodge, the door is always open.

Jack

Fri, 6 Jun 2014 11:19:00 EST Welcome To MAVERICKDR Well it looks like our group is surviving and growing. I want to welcome our newest member - MAVERICKDR. Great to have you on board. Mon, 3 Mar 2014 21:54:54 EST Let's Bring This Team Back To Life! Brothers, We have a unique opportunity here on SPARKPEOPLE to work towards common goals that matter to us as Masons. Those goals don't necessarily have to only encompass weight loss, but could also be put towards common Masonic interests, goals and achievements. Let's put this forum to good use! Let me know if you have anything that you want addressed in this SPARKTEAM. Remember that Masons working together is a powerful thing that can accomplish almost anything.

Fraternally, <... Sun, 29 Dec 2013 10:12:52 EST Let's Rekindle This Group Sorry for my inactivity. Let's make a new start of this group and make it the place for Masons to give each other support and fellowship as we make the SparkPeople journey. We can do this brothers.

Jack
Sun, 20 Oct 2013 13:13:43 EST We Are Still Growing Let's Welcome our newest member BROADNAXYOGI. Wow, we are now up to 18 members!
Let's keep growing this SparkTeam.

Jack
Wed, 28 Nov 2012 22:37:54 EST Sorry About That Brothers,
I'm sorry that I haven't made more frequent posts. Many things were beyond the length of my cable tow due to a serious illness in my family. I will be posting more frequently now.
I hope that everything is going well for everyone in our SparkTeam.

Fraternally,
Jack
Fri, 8 Jun 2012 10:19:05 EST An Introduction I just wanted to take a quick moment to (re)introduce myself. I was a member of this group at one time but was never active either here or on SP in general so I deleted the account. Now I'm back and hopefully I'll be more active on SP than I was last time.

I am a member of Washington #46 and Esoterika #227 AF&AM in Portland, OR, Washington #18 RAM, and the Portland Valley AASR. This group doesn't appear terribly active, but maybe that will change. I'd love to share my journey towa... Mon, 30 Jan 2012 21:44:24 EST New Year's Resolution Let me start out by apologizing to everyone in our SparkTeam for not posting here in the past few months. Things have been hectic and sadly, many things that I wanted to do were beyond the length of my cable tow. Now, for better, or for worse, I am back here on SparkPeople and have more time.

That leads me to my New Year's resolution. I resolve that I will make this SparkTeam, a place where my brothers can hang out, relax and share the Masonic and SparkPeople experience. Oh yes, I... Tue, 27 Dec 2011 10:33:19 EST Suggestion Box I want this SparkTeam to have relevance to every member. If there's anything that you would like this team to discuss, please post it here. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Fraternally Yours,
Jack Fri, 23 Sep 2011 09:42:12 EST Let's Welcome Our Newest Member Let's extend a warm welcome to our newest member DYMONDCLAY. I believe that brings our number up to 14. Sun, 10 Apr 2011 12:02:48 EST Happy Holidays!! The joyous message that this holiday season sends to all Masons is that we belong to two families, the family at home and the family at the Lodge.

May both families bring you joy peace and happiness.

Fraternally,
Jack Mon, 13 Dec 2010 18:02:41 EST Lafayette Lodge #41 Manchester NH We meet the first Wednesday of the month and have so much history in the building I couldn't even scratch the surface. But I will say we have an amazing main lodge room that has a night sky display, with all original electronics from... dang it, a while ago. It's almost 11pm and I got a bad memory to begin with, but suffice it to say, if your in the area you should try and stop by. Tue, 31 Aug 2010 22:58:30 EST Our Newest Member I want to welcome TINSTAR_1977 to our SparkTeam.
Let's all give him a warm welcome when he posts here. Mon, 16 Aug 2010 01:19:34 EST Masonic Networking We are in the worst economy since the great depression. I was wondering how masons are dealing with it in different parts of the world. Has any lodge or grand lodge set up any kind of formal program of networking for employment? Could that be happening on an informal basis in collation rooms?

As masons, we are fortunate to be a part of the greatest fraternity in the world. Let's hope that we rise to the occasion and look out for one another. Thu, 6 May 2010 10:14:52 EST When You Least Expect It. Did you ever have circumstances that make you wonder how you are ever going to get through the next day?
I'm not going to get into the specifics of the things that I am going through, but let's just suffice it to say our economy has caused lots of problems for lots of people. The silver lining in my cloud is that I am a Mason. My brothers in my New York lodge, the lodge that, some years ago raised me a Master Mason, were right there for me with the strongest possible moral support.
... Mon, 29 Mar 2010 21:37:23 EST What Influenced You To Decide To Become a Mason? People become Masons, they aren't born that way.
Each of us can probably look back on one definitive thing or person that closed the deal and brought him into the fraternity.

In my case, the Grand Lodge of New York was running a series of programs about the craft on public access cable TV that captured my imagination. I phoned Grand Lodge and was referred to my local lodge and the rest is history.

How about you? Tell us what got you to join our noble brotherhood. Wed, 9 Dec 2009 21:37:34 EST What is it about Masons? Is it my imagination, or are many of my fellow Masons reluctant to take the necessary steps to put them on the road to good health? As you might notice, we only have two members on this team. I have mentioned this team in open lodge here in Florida-no takers yet.

However, I do have a theory that many of us (Masons), as is the case with lots of Americans are not really interested in portion control at all.
We all know what the term "Belly Mason" is and until I found Spark p...
