In fact, I think I could have gone a lot longer but I agreed to bring a lunch to a walk midday with a friend who would also bring one. I got there and she had forgotten and already had eaten. We stopped in a little park on a bench and I ate my lunch. It just occurred to me that I could have still put off the meal. Well, I hope this continues because I've decided to... I’m having a hard enough time some days even with that, never mind making the overnight fast longer. However, even though I do not weigh, I can tell my pants are fitting more loosely since the beginning of Quarantine when I really buckle down to the overnight fast. I had committed for the month of May to limit my eating to two meals, one at the beginning and one at the end of the eating window. However, for ... Shooting for and making it most days to an 8- hour eating window; sometimes 6 hours. Sorry I cannot be more inspiring with weight loss; not doing this for weight loss and will not weigh again until summer solstice. Better energy focus digestion & sleep. Less aches & pains & no cravings! This is crazy! I've been tracking all my food & macros & have lost 5.5lbs in 8 days eating 1600-1800 Cals on avg per day! Eureka!! Over the last two weeks, I only lost about half a pound. And so far this month, I've only lost 3.8lbs. Is this normal? I don't go crazy on my eating days. I usually stay somewhere between 1200-2000 cals. I got up this morning and did my lower body workout of squats, deadlifts, lunges, and crunches, and I feel great and alert. This morning I put sirloin in a marinade, and I'll have that for dinner tonight with veggies. I feel like I've finally found a lifestyle I can live with. Sun, 25 Dec 2011 23:49:30 EST Hello all! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x29837x45549520 Hi! I just joined this team today. I've been at a plateau for the past four months and have been exercising everyday for the past month, and STILL at a plateau. I'm hoping that fasting twice a week will help me get past this plateau. I'm nervous though, I've never gone a full day without eating! I guess we'll see how it goes. I'm happy to eat a meal and then wait longer than 3 hours before eating again... if at all, I'm learning to listen to my hunger! Some I got great results from (UD2) others were not so great (Master Cleanse). All and all I've been constantly rotating my approach to exercise and dieting for years. I think that works well for the resistance training that I like to do, but I probably need a more solid diet plan that I can stick to for long term. I'm hoping that the ESE plan is the one.
... Instead of a full 24hrs of not eating though I do the smaller window of eating so I only eat lunch and dinner and lunch is usually fruit based, and always contains protein and then dinner is full of veggies. I've read a lot of people online saying this plan is bad because of the lack of quality nutrition but I suppose that depends on what you are eating. I try to make it good and you know... I had been reading a bit about intermittent fasting on Mark's Daily Apple blog, then last week I picked up the Warrior Diet and began to understand the health benefits. I just started following those guidelines yesterday where you eat very lightly at breakfast and lunch and then a big dinner. So far I like it.
