See the message board in the SP Challenges forum by the same name. SparkPeople SparkGuy's 10 Minute Fitness Club Team Messageboard Back on the wagon again After a number of years away, I am back. The pandemic has kept me home sedentary and the pounds started to return even though I eat pretty much the same as before. There have been days I've gotten fewer than 1,000 steps, so this much change. I won't be doing ten minutes today though, as it is about that until midnight now, and I want to sleep tonight. Tomorrow is a new day though. Thank the Lord for new beginnings! Mon, 26 Oct 2020 23:50:00 EST Just Getting Started Since COVID-19 my workouts have slowly gotten less and less frequent. I am now lucky to even make my 2 weekly training sessions. I miss the gym and am having trouble exercising due to lack of variety. I think I need to simply get back into a solid daily habit of exercise, no matter how small. Suggestions? 🙂 Thu, 10 Sep 2020 06:30:24 EST After long time off of Spark, I am coming back Hi everyone, I am a longtime member of Spark, I guess I faded away from Spark, but I am back trying to lose weight and being healthy. One of my problems is consistency, so I chose this group because if I can do at least 10 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week and not eating junk food, that is a start. I am also a heavy Diet Pepsi drinker and I am trying to stop the habit. My name is Tabitha and I have been fighting a battle with weight my whole life. I have lost the weight but never made the permanent lifestyle changes to keep it off. I am looking for some guidance on a healthy balance of food and exercise as well as moral support. I am a mom of three, work outside the home, and I am a nursing student. I have a lot of unhealthy eating habits to break and I am hoping I will find the tools and encouragement here. Taking it one step at a time! Mon, 19 Mar 2012 13:08:31 EST New member of SparkPeople I am new to sparkpeople as of today, but I started my quest to lose weight on Feb 20, 2012. I am looking to get healthy, drop massive amount of weight, and feel better in general. Also trying to increase my chances of becoming pregnant. So far I am down 16.5 lbs, wanting to lose 100 in a year. I am looking to buy a Polar heart rate monitor so if anyone has any tips on what to look for or what they love/hate about the one they have, please share. I have a sit down job as a 911 Telecommun... Sun, 18 Mar 2012 05:51:51 EST Okay Now What the Heck is Happening? Since I was sick last week, I am having something weird happening during my work-outs.
Everytime I have work-outed since I was sick about 10 minutes into it, my legs start getting really weak and feeling like mush beneath me. Sometimes I had to stop and sit down for a few to let them rest a few minutes before going back to exercising. At first I thought it was just because I was still weak from being so sick, but now I'm beginning to wonder.
Am I not eating the right things before... Sat, 17 Mar 2012 12:28:28 EST I have questions??? O.K., here goes. I watch the biggest Loser show. Usually, some where towards the end of the show, they have the contestants start off by carrying all of the weight they have lost. Of course, they drop those weights off at various points.

My question is this: When I lose 5 pounds, should I get a 5 pound weight to carry around after this loss? Do we burn more calories at the higher weight?

I know this may sound like some dumb questions, but, I am wondering if this will hel... Thu, 15 Mar 2012 09:47:06 EST Hey all! Mon, 12 Mar 2012 13:35:18 EST Hi! I'm Diana! So, I found this website when searching for vegan recipes and it looks pretty amazing! I'm not "going vegan" so to speak, but I figured, who better has delicious veggie recipes that my lactose-intolerant husband might actually eat than vegans! So, I'm excited to make more recipes where the vegetables are central and the meat optional instead of the other way around! :)

Also, I'm doing a yeast-free, sugar-free diet in order to try and get a handle on candida that has plagued me... Sun, 11 Mar 2012 11:55:29 EST Lost 5 more pounds, but the unhealthy way! I've had the Norovirus since Wednesday night. Weighed this am and I've lost 5 lbs since then. I really hate that I have lost it this way. I do hope I don't gain it back after I get better. Had to go to the ER this am, bc I was so dehydrated. Doc. gave me fluids, nausea meds and meds for these awlful colon spasms I'm having. Hating that I can't work out right now. Was doing so good, then this. GRRRRRRRR Sat, 10 Mar 2012 21:50:31 EST Norovirus Yes I have had this for 2 days now and it is horrible. Nothing but water for 24 hours and can't even keep that in.
Doc. says to try mashed potatoes and bananas today. Don't want all those carbs though. Sun, 4 Mar 2012 11:00:52 EST Hi! Hi,

I'm Beth, I'm a student from the Staffordshire/Shropshire area. I'm nearly 20 and I decided that I needed to start doing something like this after I went to A&E twice last month with really bad abdominal pain and was told that I could have gall stones. They didn't tell me it was because of weight or anything, but they said it was linked to fatty foods, and I've since found out that they can be caused by fatty foods and excess alcohol. Alcohol levels have dramatically dropped t... Sat, 3 Mar 2012 04:07:36 EST Elaine I have just found a perfect snack made by Sensible Foods.
