Oh, and I can't stand milk!

Boy, am I sounding picky! I am also thinking that perhaps I should abandon the oatmeal idea altogether except that it's so damn healthy and I kinda, sorta like it, especially in cookies!

Any recipes, tips? Fri, 1 Jan 2010 09:56:33 EST Why do you eat clean? It is the beginning of a new year and I think it is safe to say that nearly all of us will be reaffirming our commitments to either establish or maintain a healthy lifestyle. And the foundation for making those commitments stick is to think about WHY you are doing it - because otherwise it is almost a guarantee that those good intentions will fall by the wayside at the first temptation!

So let's share some of the reasons why we are here, why we have decided that clean eating is a ... I am on a quest to loose my last 10 pounds, and I have decided to incorporate Eating Clean to help me get there. I seem to always eat a healthy amount of calories, but have started to worry that I eat too many processed foods and don’t spend enough time on the “perimeter” of the grocery store. I just bought the Eat Clean Revamped book yesterday and I look forward to having this be my new “lifestyle”. Thu, 10 Dec 2009 15:25:09 EST Rennovating my Sparkpage! Hi everyone! If you haven't noticed, my screen name has changed!!!

I'm not exactly sure what happened... but I'm in the middle of changing things about my Sparkpage... You probably can't see it right now because I've made it private while I work on things. But feel free to email me -- I can still get those!! And I'll write as soon as I can.

Thanks!
Audrey Mon, 7 Dec 2009 15:32:28 EST Hey, I'm Jen, and I'm a Processed Food-aholic I am also a wine a holic and anything sweet a holic, lol :) I am going to the library to get the Eating Clean book today as I've been researching it a lot online and have a good understanding of the plan. My question is how many of you eat clean 100% of the time, and how many do 80-90%? Also, I read somewhere that you may not notice an immediate weight loss with this plan, but I assume that's because its not heavy on calorie counting? I mean, certainly you will lose if you stay in your ranges... Mon, 7 Dec 2009 09:35:04 EST Ths sure is a quiet SparkTeam...... Hello everybodeee!!! I was hoping to see more activity on this forum, as I could use some knowledge and reassurance! I started my weight loss on a Paleo diet, and while I really like the foods, I just can't get past giving up stuff like beans and yams. I call them my cheat foods, but I know they are good for me! Has anyone else converted from another style of eating to this one? When I go back and read what I just typed, I have to admit that it seems quite silly! Please weigh in! Thu, 22 Oct 2009 20:53:04 EST Looking for a great support group! Hi. I joined this group a few days ago with my friend Juelz (see below) and promptly am on vacation.... Sun, 4 Oct 2009 21:46:45 EST Hi, I'm Julia., aka Juelz Hi Everyone,

I have been looking for something just like this. "Clean Eating." I just didn't know that is what people were calling it. My eating habits trying to lose weight, while being limited on excercise due to tendonitis and plantar fasciatis have led to the condition worsening because I wasn't getting the nutirents I needed. So my journey of discovery begins, again, to find ways to improve myself, my lifestyle, and my health. I want to be able to run and jump with my 4 y... Wed, 19 Aug 2009 17:59:17 EST Another newbie Hello all. I've been a fan of Tosca's for a while, now, but don't have any books. I watched her series this past spring / summer and I've even gon to a fitness show in London On in June with my sister - seeing fit women up close and personal was amazing (though some looked a bit too buffed to me). I'm waiting to get the cookbook through the library (on reserve) and once I get it, I'll decide whether I'll buy it.

Does anyone go to Tosca's web site that also has a forum? (www.toscar... Wed, 12 Aug 2009 19:48:16 EST Post your Birthday! Just the month and day! Thu, 6 Aug 2009 23:41:40 EST What's your achille's heel? Okay, we've all got 'em! That certain food that we can't resist. That one really "bad" one which we deny ourselves the whole time we're dieting and then indulge too much when the opportunity presents itself. For many people it'll be cookies, ice cream or chips, for others it's mom's lasagna! So what's your "poison?"

For me, it's fried seafood -- specifically fried clams! I'll order the quart size and eat the whole thing myself! And an extra large coleslaw... fries... you get ... Tue, 4 Aug 2009 12:41:59 EST Munchies! Hi everyone! I thought I'd find out what you all nibble on between meals to quell those hunger pangs.

I munch on salt & pepper edamame pods. The pods slow me down and give me something to "fiddle" with when I eat.

I've also discovered that soft tofu blended with lemon juice is a nice replacement for sour cream. I put a little garlic powder and/or other seasonings and make a dip for vegetables.
Fri, 24 Jul 2009 21:34:03 EST Lookie what I found! Mon, 27 Apr 2009 14:54:29 EST From the farm to the table... Hi everyone! Just wanted to report back on my visit to Polyface farms in Virginia. It's a sustainable farm specializing in grass-fed meat and poultry products. Yeah, I know that meat isn't high on the eat clean diet, but the diet DOES allow a little. And if you can get it without additives, the better!

I was very impressed with the farm's operation -- they don't use any drugs on their animals and allow their animals to frolick and roam in the sunshine and grass... cows do not g...
