I am to add 2-5 minutes per week until I get to 30 minutes per day. Then once I fell comfortable with the 3 days a week I am to add another day for 4 days a week. My overall goal is ... I have really been struggling since January with my health and energy. I had a really bad CFS relapse and slowly but surely was getting better. Then in August we lost our 8 year old German Shepherd. In October, we decided to get one of my cousin's dog's litter of puppies. She has swallowed up whatever energy I may have had to spare and then some. I expected it to be hard, but not this hard. As is usual with CFS, every day I feel a little less energy, e... Tue, 19 Jul 2016 07:26:24 EST Vertigo? Does anybody else get vertigo upon standing? I've had this for years and it's getting worse. It was better briefly when I was at my highest weight. Every single time I stand I get half way across the floor and it hits me--vertigo, dizziness, and a burning sensation in my head. i went through about a year of tests and the docs could never define anything that could be don... Sat, 26 Mar 2016 21:13:40 EST Dealing with family getting angry about the fibro So here's my question. How do you deal with family getting mad that you just can't do certain things on certain days? Tue, 7 Oct 2014 00:01:03 EST Elise's Introduction I am restarting to lose weight but I am doing it differently this time. It is hard to lose weight but with the right mindset and the right support you can go far. One thing I realized for myself I cannot just have the mindset of I need to lose weight. It is the season to sacrifice something of yourself so you are more mindful of our Savior's ultimate sacrifice.

Even if you don't personally participate in Lent, I think the idea of self-sacrifice is a good one. That's why I want to challenge each of us to give up one thing we really enjoy eating or doing for one day. You can choose to do it today (Wednesday) or Thursday.

Let us know what you have given up for the day.

<... Wed, 9 Mar 2011 01:27:39 EST How Do You Want To SPRING Forward? For our challenge this month, we will be moving/exercising! I like to call it movement, because practically any movement can count toward exercise, and that is good news for those of us with mobility and/or energy issues. Any movement that 1) raises your heart rate (even a little); 2) makes you sweat; 3) Moves your body in a way it doesn't usually (for example: stretches or just range of motion) and 4) makes you breath harder (which for some of us is not that hard -- haha) is movement for o... Wed, 2 Feb 2011 00:18:33 EST February 2011 Daily Chat and Check-in I was almost going to reply on our old thread, and then I realized -- ack! It's February 1st. We should be moving to a new thread already. So here we are. For those new, we always start a new chat thread to save some time and frustration for those who may still be on dial-up connections. Otherwise, it takes a looooooong time to load all the pages of a long thread.

Anyway, we are hunkered down here in central IL trying to stay warm. Our electricity has been on and off for abou... Wed, 2 Feb 2011 00:04:22 EST Post a small win! Sometimes we forget about the small things that can help our progress toward a heather life. Something as small as walking a few more steps, eating an extra helping of fruits and veggies, drinking an extra glass of water. Let's post a small win when it happens. It will make us feel better and encourage team members to try small steps. Tue, 1 Feb 2011 10:43:59 EST New Member with fibro I am actually not a new member, just havent been acive in a while. Sat, 15 Jan 2011 22:38:39 EST Need Your Help for a Future Challenge Sparklers, I've been envisioning a future challenge for walking and exercise -- to "walk" across the country. I thought it would be really neat to "walk" to different destinations along the way -- like our own towns.

Therefore, anyone who feels comfortable doing so, could you please let me know where you live, or at least a town/city nearby. I will then work on plotting a course from one end of the country to the other. Even though I know where several of you live, I won't inclu...
