Sat, 21 Jul 2018 14:54:08 EST Question for July 14, 2018 Among many online weight loss Journalers, rewarding themselves for meeting goals is a big part of their weight loss journey. Does planning a reward really work for you? Is it for your short-term or long-term goal? What are the rewards you usually give yourself? Is it a good idea to reward yourself with food? Why or why not? What's your ultimate reward for when you meet your goal weight? (I hope it would be both wholesome and out of the ordinary. Give it some thought.) Sat, 14 Jul 2018 11:30:53 EST Kayah's Questions I decided to post Kayah's list of weight loss questions. I find the listed questions all worthy on their own but the rule in the world of today is that too many choices discourages one from making a response. So I am not posting them all at once only 7 at a time. Please decide which question(s) or parts of the questions is/are of most interest to you and answer them as you like. I'll be listing things in eleven different parts.

Part 1: List 10 things you love to do. Thu, 31 May 2018 11:07:15 EST What is Joy and where can it be found Joy is what we are, not what we must get. Joy is the realization that all we want or need in life has been etched into our souls. Joy helps us see not what we are "going through," but what we are "growing to"--a greater sense of understanding, accomplishment, and enlightenment. Joy reveals to us the calm at the end of the storm, the peace that surpasses the momentary happiness of pleasure. If we keep our minds centered on joy, joy becomes a state of mind. -Iyanla Vanzant Fri, 25 May 2018 21:10:18 EST Choice We are beautiful souls whether you believe it or not. However, our personalities may or may not always reflect the beauty of our souls because in order for the soul to grow, our earthly bodies must experience opportunities to make or not make positive choices during our periods of earthy life. As we make or not make positive choices, our souls speak to us, but we do not always hear their messages of love and compassion. The universe (or God) clearly sees to it that there are plenty of me... January 1 (taken from the Artist's Way Every Day: A Year of Creative Living by Julia Cameron)

One of the most important tasks in artistic recovery is learning to call things---and ourselves---by the right names. Most of us have spent years using the wrong names for our behaviors. We have wanted to create and we have been unable to create and we have called that inability "laziness". That is not merely inaccurate. It is cruel. Accuracy and compassion serve us far better. "Blocked ar... Wed, 2 Jan 2013 15:07:25 EST How to stay motivated How to you stay motivated to write in your journal? I love writing & I find writing in a journal therapeutic but for some reason, I don't always stick to doing so. I think it would be fun to add little stickers here & there or maybe decorate the outside of the journal or notebook just to make it more appealing. Sometimes, I end up doodling instead of getting deeper into the writing. I guess I find doodling a to be a stress reliever too so maybe that's why I do that. I have no idea.
<B... Sun, 11 Nov 2012 22:17:05 EST Touchdrawing Soul Cards I thought to post this because I think some of ya'll might be interested in this. Thre is a woman named Deborah Koff Chapin who does what are called 'touch drawings'. Mon, 23 Jul 2012 00:50:37 EST Inner Outings Prompts For info about Inner Outings check out the link in the General forum.

Ideally, we're supposed to hold the deck, fan the cards out, think about what is most on our minds, and then pick a card. And then write our journal entry based on the prompt.
