I've started a closed FB group to help everyone stay "Healthy through the Holidays" instead of being the statistic of huge weight gain. It's open to anyone interested and is meant as a place to encourage each other, post questions, your workouts, recipe ideas, etc. if you'd like to be included let me know. You can friend me on FB Or I can friend you whichever is easiest :-) then I'll put you in the group. Fri, 2 Dec 2011 10:01:59 EST Starting Over I totally joined this group with the intention of having a healthy happy pregnancy and now find myself starting over. I believe it was in May and I was at 5 weeks.

sageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x24568x41
870831

Well, shortly after, the morning sickness kicked in and I was a terrible team member because all I cared about at the time was doing anything not to be sick. I never logged on at all after that. All my p... Thu, 3 Nov 2011 12:14:41 EST Hello all! (New to the group, not new to SP) I just found this group today, but I've been on SP for some time....

My name is Melinda and I'm a 38 year old SAHM of 2 little kids (Lillie is 2.5 years old and Christopher just turned 1). I'm hoping to get to know some other, ahem, "older" mommies out there--although I hardly consider myself old!

-Melinda Mon, 24 Oct 2011 15:40:40 EST Hi I am not quite 35 (will be in 3 months) so hopefully I can still join. I am a stay at home mom of 2 (3 &1) and pregnant with #3- due late January. I am very active and am (hopefully) becoming certified on Friday through AFAA for my Primary Group Fitness. I recently became a beachbody coach to help, encourage and motivate others in reaching their fitness goals- whether through a beachbody product or not. Wed, 7 Sep 2011 22:24:17 EST Triple Screen Genetic Test I recently had a triple screen blood test and it came back 100% positive for Downs Syndrome! I refused all Genetic tests with my Son and when my OB sent me for lab work with this pregnancy, I had no idea what this test was for, I should of asked but I just assumed it was routine blood work. Well, now I am extremely stressed, mad and sad! Mostly at the way my Dr. came to me with the results and left me so confused! She basically has put it off on my high risk specialist I have been seeing sinc... Sat, 3 Sep 2011 22:37:51 EST Studies found..... How do you feel about some of the info that is out there for expectant and current parents? Know of a study you want to share and discuss, please do it here. Tue, 17 May 2011 05:25:34 EST Not Sure If This Team Is Active Hi. I wanted to join a group of women who are roughly my age (40) with young kids. I have a 3 year old and am expecting my second (although it is early, so I am nervous). I was hoping that this group was active, but it looks like there is no team leader.

Have a good day. Fri, 10 Sep 2010 10:03:26 EST Hi! Hi! I'm 36 and I've just found out I was 10-week pregnant with my second child which was a very welcome surprise. My due date is 03/29/2011. Have a nice day! Tue, 31 Aug 2010 07:44:51 EST ??? [;;;; Fri, 28 Aug 2009 06:59:27 EST Joining the Team Hi there~

My name is Stacy, I'm 35 and trying to conceive for the first time (well, getting ready to start!). I've ditched the pills and have been getting into shape, slowly but surely. I want to get down below 150 before I get pregnant, though this is kind of an arbitrary number. I go to meet for a pre-prenatal checkup tomorrow to get more details about how I'm doing. I'd love to hear from others in the same boat! Tue, 4 Aug 2009 12:12:26 EST Getting Healthy for IVF Hi, everyone. I'm new to this team but I wanted to open this topic and see if anyone else is in my situation...there is a similar topic on one of the message boards but it's inactive since middle of 2008 so I thought I'd try again.

Anyway, I am planning to have my first IVF early next year (sometime in early spring). In the meantime, I want to get myself healthier: lose weight, establish a regular exercise routine, improve my diet, stuff like that. If anyone else is planning an IVF... Sat, 1 Aug 2009 19:03:30 EST Happy Mother's Day!!!!! 214 410 437 81 80
Wishing you a Wonderful Day!! Sun, 10 May 2009 09:19:27 EST Weight gain fear About two years ago, I lost 25 pounds and got down to a healthy weight. After going through a very hard divorce, then finding my now-husband, I stopped exercising, COMPLETELY, and the pounds/inches started creeping up. I now just want to focus on the health of my baby. I want to start exercising (even just short walks -- anyone else just so dang tired?), and regain some fitness before labor/delivery. I want to think of the food I consume as nutrition for the baby. But I'm finding myself fight... Thu, 18 Sep 2008 23:40:27 EST Showers and Registries I have been thinking about my shower since I have had so many friends and relatives offer to throw it for me. It has come down to my Mom and SIL on husbands side, that way we can get both families together easier as we both come from big families, my friends wouldn't know where to start. So I went online to register items at 4 different places, not that I would use 4, I was just checking them out. Well, my tips for you, don't do it online, do it in store at the last minute because 1. They don... Tue, 9 Sep 2008 08:54:29 EST High Risk If I hear one more person, friend, Dr. etc. mention the fact that I am old and fat and a high risk for complications I am going to scream and want to say Shut up already can't you just be happy for me! There's this test and that test they say I should be taking, when I read that regardless of the actual results the answers will come back "high risk" because of my starting weight and age, so seriously! And would I love my baby any less or end my pregnancy due to down syndrome or anything else, ...
