SparkPeople Parelli Sparkers Team Messageboard For those sparkers who use Parelli as their guide, no matter what level you are working on, join us in the celebration of our relationship with the horse. Savvy On! SparkPeople Parelli Sparkers Team Messageboard Starting back Well after a hiadas of not seeing my horse due to work and other responsibilites that have crept up, I am back. For the last 3 weekends I have been playing with my horse. It has felt so good and it is also amazing to me that Sassy still wants to be with me. She still comes to me from the back of the pasture when I see her and we can just play some games on the ground and I can still saddle up and ride like we have been doing it all along. That is a real testiment to this program.

... Howdy everyone. I have a 10 yr old Canadian gelding named Leo. We have obtained our Level 2 On Line and taped our Level 2 Freestyle recently. Nervous about sending it in.

Leo is a LBI sometime LBE. Very, VERY food oriented. I have a tack cart with all my brushes on it and it has a space for my saddle. Leo thinks it's great fun to grab the handle & toss the whole thing. He'll let himself and his neighbour out of the stalls.

He's a fun horse and makes me laugh. Wed, 15 Feb 2012 08:56:36 EST where I have been I disappeared, summer and fall flew past.

i have had a really weird run. two years ago i let go of Rowan, my level and soul horses.
i played and worked with him for 10 years. we were amazing on the ground, unbelievable partnership, great horse to demo online and liberty play. Sat, 14 Jan 2012 11:30:13 EST New Here :) Hi everyone! My name is Alli and I'm currently a senior in college getting ready to graduate with a degree in Agriculture-Equine Science. I have two horses who are pretty much my life. I found Parelli in 2004 and since then have also found many other natural horsemanship clinicians. I'm not sure if this is the right place for me since I'm not completely Parelli, but I do use bits and pieces from various natural clinicians I have seen, Parelli included. I'm always eager to learn more and ... Wed, 4 Jan 2012 10:19:55 EST Introduce your horse /horses On my Spaniel lovers Team we have a thread called introduce your Spaniel. My name is Jenna and I'm new to Sparkpeople. I'm hoping to lose 15-20 pounds and to build some muscle before the winter snow hits here in the snowbelt of NE Ohio. As a mail carrier with a 7 mile walking route, my job is hard enough without carrying the extra weight on my body and at 43 years old, I've already lost plenty of muscle. It's time to make life a little easier for myself and to care enough to lose the weight and get in better shape. I have ridden since I was 11 years old, mostly Eng... I have been blessed to live within 15 miles of two great Parelli instructors and get to work with them nearly every week. In fact, tomorrow they are having an all day clinic and I can't wait to go see all my new Parelli friends. So far I have lost 5 pounds with Spark People (my first goal) and am on to my second goal (another 5 pounds). I set small goals for myself since my ADHD kicks i... Is there anything really in there that is new? Wish I could see one first to see if I feel like buying it. Tue, 6 Apr 2010 10:14:59 EST Spring Fever Ok I have to admit, I have been a bad horsey mom. I havent seen my girls in almost 4 months. This weather has been horrible and the last time I tried to play some games my horse was too distracted by being in a new barn (first one they have ever been too). Now I am going to have to seperate the two of them because I can only afford one barn payment with my new mortgage.

Anyways saying all that to say it will be like starting Parelli all over again. I have only had time to watch th... Tue, 16 Mar 2010 10:25:19 EST Help me save this horse! Over the week, I found out a friend of mine was sending his horse to slaughter. Mon, 20 Apr 2009 09:20:39 EST first trail ride of the season did a 20min warm up with my parelli, hind your hiney, move away, come to me etc... then saddled up and off we went.

Had a great ride, realized its been since last July that I went on a trail ride Tue, 14 Apr 2009 11:03:19 EST Dealing with "normals?" I need some savvy on dealing with "normals." You know who they are: they think Parelli is a quack who "tricks" his horses into doing things; the only way to control a rowdy horse is to use spurs and bits and tie-downs; kick to go, pull to whoa. I know I shouldn't care what people think -- Linda says it's none of her business what people think of her -- but these mean comments normally come from people who have respect and clout in the horse industry, or from people I see for myself have a goo...
