SparkPeople SparkNew York City- the Official Team Team Messageboard Question About Spark Points I've been wondering about this for years and thought maybe someone could answer. How do people accumulate such high Spark Point numbers. On one team people have over 18,000 "exercise" points for the month of May before it's it was half over. And a million points withine a few years.
Just wondering. Because their are daily limits for certain points. Called "emotional eating" or what you will, it can be an aid to the effort. I was in the habit of listing such things under "snacks," but a distinct category will be more useful to me. Hi everyone, my name is Candace. I live in Astoria, work in Manhattan, and go to grad school at NYU, all of which leaves me with less time than I would like to work out. I'm a generally social person and I miss my gym back home where I went with my best friend and ran into people I've know forever. So I'm looking for a workout buddy (or two, or twelve!) and a new gym to love. Shoot me a message or comment on my page if you're interested! Fri, 20 Apr 2012 11:32:51 EST Hi Everyone! Hi Everyone! Tue, 19 Jan 2010 08:57:00 EST Newbie Hello, Just joined Spark People. I glad to meet this new community of transformers. Tue, 12 Jan 2010 17:21:21 EST Hi New Yorkers and fellow Sparkers I've been a New Yorker since September, when I quit my job and moved to NYC to attend grad school, and I've been an on-off Sparker for a couple of years. My problem is, and always has been, consistency, so I'm hoping that if I can really get plugged into a community, even a virtual one, I'll stick to this calorie- and exercise-tracking stuff until it becomes second nature. I unfortunately got really sick with swine flu and some other stuff during the last two weeks of December, and lost proba... Sun, 10 Jan 2010 23:36:56 EST elliptical bike vs. outside jogging, equal? These items don't seem to have a heading for credit? Thanks in advance, anyone commenting. Sun, 10 Jan 2010 10:15:08 EST Hey From Brooklyn. :) Hey all! I'm not new to Spark but I am new to the team. I've always been very careful about giving away too much of myself online, I like the anonymity, but I saw this team and I wanted to say hey and join up! I live in Brooklyn, work in Brooklyn and basically just live day to day trying to get it right. I'm female, 29 years old and have been on spark since last February. Nice to meet you all! Sat, 9 Jan 2010 16:32:55 EST Looking for a jogging buddy-Central Park I am looking for a jogging buddy for morning runs around 5-5:30am in Central Park. I am currently running on the treadmill at my local gym and I am bored to deaf. Let me know if you're interested. Thu, 7 Jan 2010 22:30:12 EST Pound for Pound Challenge (on the Biggest Looser) I was wondering if anyone on our team is interested in doing this challenge. It is sponsored by the Biggest Looser, yoplait, subway, and others and they will donate 14 cents (about the cost for a pound of food) for every pound lost from now until June 30, 2010. Right now New York is #7 in the list of states with people pledging. Ohio and Michigan are even higher up than us! Fri, 30 Oct 2009 11:26:18 EST Glad to Be Here, Glad to Have Alighted Anywhere I joined SparkPeople two days ago, I think, and it has all been a blur. I have little technical inclination and may have lost a few pounds in tears alone. Rather than repeat the whole litany here, I did post "Two Lapbands in Five Days" on the regular "Introduce Yourself" forum and composed a SparkPage which has just enough to read but little visual. They are there if anyone is curious. Wed, 28 Oct 2009 15:20:42 EST I Accidentally Lost 160 Pounds! Hello!!
I am recently joined and am completely in love with this site. It is AMAZING. Tue, 27 Oct 2009 23:09:19 EST Tired Eyes I just found this article, but I was wondering if there were more tips from any of you out there for looking less tired. I gave up caffeine (or am trying to) and have been doing quite well for the past 3 months, but the last week was a rough schedule at work. So I know I feel tired, but I don't want to give in to the coffee. I travel for work, so the typical "grab a bag of peas" tips for puffy eyes aren't possible for me since I don't have access to anything like that.

life...
