Team Messageboard Training Question I'm planning on doing a 62 mile ride in about 6 weeks. I was wondering how to train for this type of event. I am riding a bike and a recumbent bike at the gym 3 days a week for about 30-45 minutes. Any tips, ideas, links would be appreciated. <BR> By the way, this isn't a race, just a ride on a rail trail, so not much incline. I have a urban type bike, no road or mountain bike. Sun, 3 Jul 2011 11:43:52 EST I met my goal!! Let's share our goals! Yesterday I met and completed one of my BIG goals that I set out on this journey to loose weight and get healthy. After three months of training, I completed the First Annual Bike for a Cure for my local Relay for Life team. I rode 28 miles and raised $270 for the American Cancer Society. I just thought I would share my goal with everyone. My next BIG goal is to do a one day 50 mile bike ride at the end of summer. I am checking into lights for my bike. What are your experiences with the different ones available? I hadn't bought one when I bought the bike, because I was thinking I would ride primarily during the day. Now that we've had so much terrible weather, I want to go when it's not raining, or not so windy.... so sometimes that is dusk or dawn. Thanks for your input!
