SparkPeople Dealing with Anxiety Team Messageboard What did you do today to keep your anxiety at bay? With a lot of our state's having stay at home or shelter in place orders going on what are you doing to fight your anxiety?

Fri, 3 Apr 2020 11:46:23 EST Stressed at Work I have panic disorder and am internally panicking about a situation at work. One of the project managers of my program keeps bringing in major desserts to the common area. Yesterday I ate two brownies, two cupcakes, and a cookie. Today she added two more bundt cakes to the mix and said there was more in the refrigerator. What this means for me is that I'm no longer on track with my goal weight by this time, no longer on a low-carb diet, and that I'm not able to eat anything when I come home, ... Wed, 12 Feb 2020 12:00:59 EST Feeling Sheepish I didn't weigh myself this morning but looked in the mirror and assumed that I was back to the weight I began with because I'd gone over in calories the last three days. Then I beat myself up, wasn't grateful for my husband's cooking, and got depressed. Then, to prove I was right, I got on the scale... and I was wrong. I had actually lost weight... and this was after I ate so I might have lost more than what was on the scale. I feel kinda stupid, and my husband told me not to beat myself up. Thu, 2 Jan 2020 21:53:46 EST Panic Disorder Hi, everyone! I've just been diagnosed with panic disorder this year. It was brought about by the life change of getting married, and thus accruing someone else's debt. I have a panic attack once a week. Sat, 7 Sep 2019 14:51:11 EST New here, introduction Hi everyone! I'm 30, have 2 kids, and have GAD, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and Depression. I am overweight, 200 pounds at 5'3. I have trouble exercising due to my panic attacks. I have them multiple times a day, sometimes when I'm just sitting down doing nothing. They're horrible and stop me from doing a lot. I've been in therapy since August, so I'm hoping it helps in the long run! I'm glad for groups like this! I hope everyone is having a wonderful night/day! Thu, 30 May 2019 22:41:02 EST Hello Hey, looking for some motivation. As i get older anxiety gets worse. I was exercising daily, now I'm good for a couple days then i just kind of crash and dont have energy. I work 4 days a week. And it takes a day off for me to be able to exercise again. I feel better when i move. Allows me to clear my brain and breathe. But anxiety is exhausting. I eat well. Have started walking outside with a friend. DH and kids are awesome. Mon, 5 May 2014 17:30:19 EST Do you ever feel like you are crazy? I was just curious if this is just me or if this is other people too. Sometimes I feel like I am crazy. I know my psychologist told me that if you think you are crazy, then you aren't. Crazy people don't realize they are crazy. But I still think I am crazy sometimes. I have a fear of knowing people are looking at me. I hate being looked at. I mean, that isn't normal! Fri, 18 Apr 2014 20:17:30 EST 1 POSITIVE Thing About My Day is/was.... Having anxiety can really put a damper on day to day living. Many of us vary on the degree of how much anxiety affects us. I have anxiety all the time, but it's gotten to be so severe that I'm barely functioning. I have an appt. with my psychiatrist today, not that that's going to help and the reason I say that is because she doesn't like prescribing anxiety meds because she says they're addictive even though I think they're necessary to function. So if she doesn't prescribe me any I guess it's time to find a new psychiatrist. So we'll have to see how that goes. One of the horrible side effe...
