SparkPeople Catholic Moms Team Messageboard Catholic Moms, who either homeschool or don't, who want to lose weight to be healthy for our families! SparkPeople Catholic Moms Team Messageboard Returning to SP, New to this Team Hello everyone,

I'm a mom of 4 in my 40s. I use another app for logging food, etc., but love the support and social network on SparkPeople. Glad to find a group of other Catholics. 30 Thu, 2 May 2019 12:35:59 EST 40 Days of Lent 2018 This Lent I think we need to work on our body/mind just as we work on our souls. 8000 steps/try to learn one new thing every day of the week with the exception of Sundays. (Sundays can be our rest/break day as it is for the Lenten season.) If we post on Sunday how we have done through the week I think that will work better than trying to post every day or at the end of Lent. Tomorrow we begin!

Happy Fat Tuesday ladies!
God bless!

Suzan Tue, 13 Feb 2018 13:02:28 EST New year New me challenge! To start off this year I am proposing a challenge that goes from today until Ash Wednesday (2/14) and the goal is to get between 8000 and 10,000 steps a day. Also to make certain we are drinking between 8 and 10 cups of water a day. (1 cup = 8 ounces) I have been really bad about doing both of these things and they are both vital to health and well-being! Let's do this! We owe it to ourselves, to our families, and to our Lord! :) Wed, 17 Jan 2018 13:51:03 EST 2018 - Let's make this OUR year! After a busy end of year and a fun family hunting trip, I'm back in the saddle. 20+ pounds to lose and 30+ pounds of muscle to build! My hubby got us gym memberships for our anniversary and I had hoped to spend much of December hitting the workouts hard. It didn't happen so now I have a goal to start this next week. Mon, 7 Sep 2015 10:47:04 EST Preparing for my first 1/2 marathon I must be crazy or something but I'm 43 and preparing for my first 1/2 marathon. I've been getting miles in on the weekends but that isn't enough to make it 13.1 miles. I could use some prayers that my motivation returns so that I can get my rear in gear and get those miles in! :) Sat, 22 Aug 2015 14:58:12 EST Are we here or not? This team appears to have gone completely inactive. If no one wishes to continue to participate (which I am including myself) we will disband the team and move on. However, if we wish to participate I am very happy to put together some summer challenges or whatever we need in order to pick back up our team and motivation!

God bless.
Suzan Mon, 15 Jun 2015 11:02:18 EST LENT! Mon, 16 Feb 2015 16:05:08 EST I'm back ... let's prepare for Advent! Good morning ladies! I'm back to the site if not to exercise yet. My surgery went very smoothly and I'm recovering but I still have 4 more weeks of recovery time to go. I want to make sure not only am I ready but all of us are ready for Advent. What are you and your family doing to prepare for Advent and the coming Christmas season? Any tips or pointers for the rest of us? Let's put our heads together and see what we can do! Mon, 20 Oct 2014 10:50:34 EST Hysterectomy prayers I got the call yesterday that they have scheduled my hysterectomy for October 2nd. This is way later than hoped and prayed for but everything happens for a reason, right? This will completely put me out of the 1/2 marathon I had signed up to participate in on December 7th because I will have just (fingers crossed) been given the go ahead for starting exercise again less than 2 weeks before the event date. That is if they give me the go ahead at 6 weeks post. I am coming asking for prayers for... Thu, 21 Aug 2014 12:01:35 EST Monday Monday For the majority of my life I never understood people's gripe specifically about Monday. For some reason, though, today I feel like it IS MONDAY! I have NO motivation to do a single dang thing. I don't even want to get out of my chair here in front of my desk. I have to find a way to break out of this mode. It is driving me bloody insane! This is not me, really it isn't.

What do you do when you get that lack of motivation moment? Mon, 28 Jul 2014 13:33:06 EST Health prayers Ladies,
I will be having a hysteroscopy and D&C done next Tuesday to determine what type of hysterectomy they will be doing later this month. I come asking for prayers for this particular procedure and for the following procedure as well. For now the suspicion is adenomyosis (a build up of the uterine lining that migrates into the uterine wall and muscle) but the symptoms are the same as a form of uterine cancer. The biopsy will determine if a laproscopic surgery is feasible or if they w... Thu, 10 Jul 2014 13:40:14 EST How is your summer challenge going? Due to some current health issues I've been slow on the uptake with my summer challenge. However, with lots of umph behind this statement, I'm not going to let it stop me! On Friday my girls and I are meeting my best friend (my youngest daughter's godmother) at Sea World's water park for a day of play and bonding. We will be riding rides, swimming, playing in the wave pool, and seeing all of their new birds in their aviary! What about you? Wed, 18 Jun 2014 21:39:34 EST Summer challenge Hi ladies! I know we have been so quiet around here and with summer approaching it is time to fix that! This summer I challenge you to post at least once a week on our group forum. I will be creating an area for our summer challenge. You can post about anything you are doing this summer. If you continue to school (homeschooling moms) during the summer maybe post about something you are doing with your kiddos to carry on for the summer. If you aren't or your kiddos are in a brick and mortar sc... Wed, 14 May 2014 11:49:19 EST Happy Mother's Day After witnessing another year of a tradition that is older than time itself in my little church this morning, the crowing of the Blessed Mother on Mother's Day, I knew I had to come to tell all of you HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I'm sorry I'm not the most active of team leaders but I try to get here when I can. I hope today and always you are blessed with the love of family and friends. In Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior and in his Blessed Mother I wish you a wonderful day! Sun, 11 May 2014 13:08:58 EST I'm new Hi,

I'm trying to participate more in Spark people this lent.... not doing so good on staying within my ranges or getting the exercise.. but I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things and more active with my family now that the snow has finally melted.

I'm a stay at home/ work at home homeschooling mom in Michigan.

I'm not sure how active this group is but I'm looking forward to participating.
God Bless! Tue, 8 Apr 2014 19:13:51 EST I can't back out now. ;) I officially signed up to participate in the 2014 San Antonio Rock n Roll marathon. It is on December 7th so I have a good deal of time to get trained. I have a huge amount of training to do to get myself prepared but I am working on it, finally. Yesterday I did 2.3 miles in somewhere between 40 and 42 minutes (depending on which device I look at to get the amount of time) so I know I can do this. I'm getting myself set up with a training schedule this week so I can keep track of what I need ... Tue, 14 Jan 2014 09:59:25 EST Good bye 2013 Hello 2014! I know people around the world tonight will be setting up resolutions and within the next month or so will be falling short. I have quit doing that YEARS ago and I now try to set goals, achievable and realistic ones at that. This year I really only have ONE true goal. I will be participating in the 2014 San Antonio Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon. It falls in November so starting my training tomorrow gives me 11 months to add 10 miles to my comfort zone. I can comfortably complete 3.1 mi... Tue, 31 Dec 2013 19:01:07 EST Merry Christmas! Ladies I'm sorry I've been nonexistent here and I'm working hard to get back to doing what I need to on Spark as well as at home. Please help me keep this team alive! We are coming upon Advent and I know we can all use some motivation through the holiday season. Let's work together! Sat, 23 Nov 2013 20:13:50 EST Is it really September already? Ladies! I just woke up this morning realizing that it is already going to be September tomorrow! We are close to Advent! Yeah I know we are still a few months out but I want to start planning stuff NOW since this will be the first year Sophia will really start to understand what is up. She is already asking when Christmas is going to be coming this year and well we are getting ready this week to start a more structured homeschooling routine so we will be learning more and more about what is u... Sat, 31 Aug 2013 13:01:46 EST I did it! I signed up for my first 5k that is not the Walk MS I do every year in over 3 years! The last time I did a competitive 5k was in November of 2009! I'm feeling so good about the fact that I will be doing it again. Now to get my training back up to par. I can do just over 1.6 miles without flinching but 3.1 at a more competitive pace (I walk these things BTW) is going to take some work. The event, Break the Silence Ovarian Cancer 5k, is on September 28th. I started training last week but had to... Sun, 25 Aug 2013 15:22:13 EST Sophia's Hope Tomorrow is Sophia's big fundraiser. I've been very bad on my eating and my exercise for over a week and yet I guess due to stress I've dropped down to 156. This means I am literally only 1 pound away from my first mini weight goal. *cheer* I have so much more to do to get myself as healthy as I want to be but I'm finally moving DOWN again! :) Once I hit 150 I should see all of the pain in my legs to my feet go away as that seems to be my body's magic weight number for no more pain. :) I just... I know that a lot of times summer is the worst time for us to think about doing things for ourselves but we really need to reSpark our team! So my question for you is what would be the perfect thing to Spark us back up? Let me know! Sun, 30 Jun 2013 13:17:26 EST Back in the saddle I want to thank all of the ladies who stepped up while life took over my life. For those who don't know me, I'm Suzan and the originator of this group. I'm still officially a team leader for this team but I really can use the help! She is just not ready for the responsibility of a four year university due to her epilepsy issue... Tue, 25 Jun 2013 11:13:39 EST I'm new! Hi, glad to have found this team! I homeschool two daughters. Sun, 9 Jun 2013 19:34:31 EST I need some advice I will start off by introducing myself. My name is Danielle, and I am a stay-at-home mom with a 2 year old girl and an 8 month old boy. I love my children and the opportunity to stay home with them. This is where I am having trouble: my son is very attached to me (obviously, I am his mother), but it is to the point where he always wants me to be holding him, caring him around. I would love to just cuddle all day, but I have a 2 year old I am trying to potty train, housework, a garden to look ... My daughter asked her sister, "Which is healthier, a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, or a meat sandwich?"
Second daughter responded that a meat sandwich is, hands down, because of the fat in the jelly.
The way this family usually has pbj sandwiches is on wheat bread, hopefully whole wheat!. For a meat sandwich, all except me choose a white bun, several slices of deli meats, and maybe some Miracle Whip for the first daughter and more for the second. No veggies. My second daughter sai... Thu, 5 Apr 2012 14:24:24 EST We had our initial neurosurgeon appointment Yesterday, Tuesday, we had our initial appointment with Dr. Birnbaum, the neurosurgeon. He agreed that she will have to have surgery but feels that we can wait a bit on it since she will also be having an angiogram to determine the exact type of malformation she has. We are looking at May right now. He said she looks good with no obvious residual effects of her initial episode. So for now we continue on with her iron supplement and her baby aspirin regimen and keep watching her. He did say th... Wed, 4 Apr 2012 07:50:57 EST Divine Mercy Novena for the forgetful - like me! I think I can count on one hand the number of Novenas that I have actually completed. I may be the only one that has a problem remembering, but just in case I'm not, I just want to share a website that helps me alot. They send me daily reminders with every novena prayer in them. I sometimes even use my own Novena prayers out of a book I have instead of theirs, but the daily reminder really helps! It isn't just the Divine Mercy Novena either, we just finished a St. Jose... Wed, 28 Mar 2012 12:00:20 EST Urgent prayers for Sophia Ladies we need prayers NOW! Sophia has been in and out of the hospital since Sunday. She has had a bunch of tests and yesterday they found an arterial-venus malformation in her little brain. Today they are going to have an angiogram done on her. We may be looking at a brain surgery as early as today. If you could add her and our family to your prayers we would appreciate it. Thank you. I'll post as soon as I can again about what is going on. Thu, 22 Mar 2012 08:45:11 EST Foods high in protein and low in fats Just wondering if anyone had some high protein foods that are their go to foods. I have noticed since joining and tracking that I tend to struggle with getting enough protein every day. So I am looking for any suggestions/advice? Thanks. Tue, 6 Mar 2012 09:51:48 EST Happy Fat Tuesday! So 3 years ago we had started this section with Lenten recipes. I would like us to take this back on this year! I really fell off of the wagon in 2010 and 2011 so hear we go again! :)

I will be back to making my now famous 3 bean chili and some other fun Lenten stuff. Also since I really don't have a lot of things to give up per se I am going to be adding things to my Lenten schedule. One is to do a 'prayer' walk at least 4 times a week with Sophia. I will be doing my best to atte... Tue, 21 Feb 2012 14:38:47 EST Will this baby belly ever go away? Hi new friends,

I have read that most people really don't see that baby belly disappear even if they become slim until they loose more weight. I am one pound away from my goal weight in at 131. I have been devout (no pun intended) with my abs doing planks, and a wide variety of exercises taken from Coach Nicole. My abs have gotten sooooo strong. I can plank for a minute and a half easily. However, I see that I have a good 5 inches of belly hanging there still and tops of my legs ar... Fri, 27 Jan 2012 11:32:06 EST 15 days in - how are you doing? I'm checking to see how you ladies are doing. I'm pleased to say that I'm down 3 pounds (I went up to 170 so 1 pound over my start weight) and doing some form of exercise every single day. I'm taking a day off every week from really big time exercise but I still get exercise in by running around with Sophia or going shopping or something. I'm working with my Wii Sport almost daily. I'm also trying to get back up to my 5k distance for walking by Friday of this week coming up. I want to know ho... Hannan.

It is Fantastic! I grew up with Archbishop Hannan my Archbishop, and reading this book has explained many things to me, like why the Archdiocese Catholic newspaper is so good, why Bishop Hannan was always on the scene, and so on. It also taught me many new things, like tha the Province of New Orleans covered 5 states until the 1960's when it began to be divided. Bishop Hannan covers in detail... Hi, my name is Debbie... a mom, a Catholic revert, and ready to stop making excuses for my weight and make it a priority to get healthy for me and my children. I don't homeschool, but I'm excited to find a Catholic group for support that doesn't have thousands of people! I like the smaller group setting, you don't get lost in the sea of people so easily! I'm really motivated and hope to stay that way! :-) Thu, 10 Apr 2008 05:49:41 EST New here hello all -
I'm new to the Spark stuff, new to this group, new to the Catholic church (Easter Vigil 2006), and relatively new as a mom - my daughters are 6 & 5. We've been home schooling, but may put them in a Catholic school for high school.
Glad to see this group!

I'm an older mom, and my daughters are from China.

My dh and I are both working on losing weight, hoping to set better eating examples for our daughters. I have to have him sit by me to make sure he is doing his school work. If I don't, he is gone. He'll be in his room, in the kitchen getting food, etc. I have tried grounding, taking privileges, giving privileges, etc.

About 6 months ago I finally decided to get him on ADD meds. Fri, 4 May 2007 03:21:48 EST Thank you for prayers Libby I was beginning to think no one was reading my posts here at Catholic Moms, or didn't see my blog postings showing up at the bottom left of the forum page (which are also on my Sparkpage). They diagnosed me with pseudotumor cerebri... it's one heck of a medical condition!

Anyhow, thanks for the thoughts and prayers

Joni Mon, 30 Apr 2007 22:05:11 EST Catholic Podcasts Check out for the best Catholic podcasts, audio and video. There's a "Healthy Catholic" video podcast, which is very motivating and full of great ideas. The newest video podcast was launched just this morning (Monday, April 30): "That Catholic Show." The people involved with these productions are very fun to listen to and give a lot of great information.

Check them all out! Mon, 30 Apr 2007 15:27:28 EST Weigh in and commitment Hi team. Please do not use any other weigh in thread for our weekly weigh in. This is the official team weigh in thread.

Monday of every week (unless someone asks me to change it) will be our weigh in day. Please post ONLY your weight for the week, if you gained or lost, and what you have done to maintain or renew your commitment to the process. Thank you all!
God bless.
Thu, 22 Mar 2007 12:39:14 EST Prayer Request Line :) This is our thread for prayer requests. If you have any, please feel free to post them. No request will go unprayed for.

26
God bless.
Suzan Thu, 15 Mar 2007 19:45:04 EST I climbed back on the wagon!! was a tough climb, but I'm back on...again. Unfortunately I gained back all my weight (well 4 pounds isn't a lot but...). However, gotta keep on trying! Thu, 15 Mar 2007 13:23:42 EST weigh in? Hey all. Shall we start a weigh-in on this board, or is it more of a support board? Either way it's fine with me.

Lija Wed, 7 Mar 2007 22:29:09 EST older moms of big families I'm not sure if this is the right group for me but the Catholic part certainly fits. My husband and I have nine kids, 5 still at home, and we just celebrated our 27th anniversary this weekend. One of the things we did was to attend a backpacking workshop. I enjoy biking and kayaking and my husband enjoys backpacking. Unfortunately, when you go camping from a kayak, bike of pack, you can't haul in an apnea machine and I can't sleep without one. I need to lose weight in order to get off of it. ... Mon, 5 Mar 2007 08:34:05 EST Lenten Recipes I thought we could share a favorite recipe or two on this thread. 14

Lija Thu, 22 Feb 2007 12:30:19 EST Rite of Election Next Sunday, I am going to meet the Bishop of the Diocese of Oakland for the Rite of Election. I went to try on clothes and found the size 14's a bit tight, but I don't want to buy a new outfit in a size 16, because I don't plan on being that size anymore. I need to cut out salt this week so I can fit into a 14 better! 246

My husband normally works on Sundays, but he has been taking the day off from work for the past couple of weeks so I can sit with the rest of my RCIA... Sun, 18 Feb 2007 12:07:29 EST I'm on my way (or weigh!) My first week weigh-in I've lost 3 pounds!! I'm doing the happy dance!!! Thu, 15 Feb 2007 11:58:36 EST The Light Weigh Has anyone heard of this Catholic program for weight loss? How does it work? It is at An audio program by Suzanne Fowler.

Fri, 9 Feb 2007 20:57:43 EST I'm back finally! Well, I'm back all....and I am NOT motivated. Maybe it's because it's February and the wind chill outside is 20 below zero, but I just can't get mentally into losing weight. Prayers would definitely be appreciated...especially since I went on my original goals page, and was supposed to be at my goal on this exact day!!! WAAAAH!!!!

OK, pity party over. Back to work....thanks! Sun, 4 Feb 2007 19:33:00 EST Ordinary time Is anyone else as happy as I am to get back to "Ordinary Time". I love that the Catholic Church designates it as such. It is hard, I am finding though, to get back into the homeschooling groove. It's almost like starting the school year anew. A good time to start a diet!?! Mon, 15 Jan 2007 22:17:34 EST Catholic Moms Team Forum Merry Christmas! I just realized I had never started a main forum here it is!

May you have a blessed Christmas season! God bless and keep you all!
CHRIST IS BORN! Mon, 25 Dec 2006 14:32:23 EST Christmas binging My dear husband is asking me to bake cookies and make candy for him. Every time I come home with groceries, he goes thru the bags and"whines" if I don't have any sweets. I try not to even go down those aisles cuz of the temptations. Tue, 21 Nov 2006 00:15:04 EST Since 21 Aug I have lost 9% body weight - 23 lbs The last time I weighed this was when I got sick with gall bladder disease and had liver issues - I lost 20-something pounds in a month. That was last August. I gained the weight right back and bloomed up to 260!

But now I am almost 25% of the way to my goal, at 237! YAY!

WHEN I lose 20 pounds more and I will finally be at my PRE-3rd pregnancy weight and a size 16.... Right now I am at a size 20 - but started at a TIGHT 24. Is anyone up to a challenge for this month? I don't know what but something. I need some motivation to get moving! I want to get down at least another size by Thanksgiving. (I know this may not include down weight since I am building muscle but still....) Any suggestions???? Let me know!
God bless. Thu, 2 Nov 2006 16:14:33 EST Happy All Saints Day I went to Kat's school this morning for Mass. The 2nd grades put together a 'living saints' memorial for the Homily portion. They were not only really wonderful but so adorable! Do any of you remember dressing up as saints as children? None of Kat's schools ever did that with them. I always thought it was sad, since she attended Catholic school. I was very pleased to see it today. As for me, I did only once, when I was in second grade. I can't remember, but I think I was St. Agnes. (toooooo l... Wed, 1 Nov 2006 19:38:40 EST My son ended up coming home from school and he got the down-lo (haha) on where kids go for trick or treating around here :) So I was able to take my daughters... and my son helped. We drove from house to house and the girls got their little half bucket of candy. That was all I wanted them to have :) They were thrilled. I will have to post photos of them!

Now shame on me for eating 4 of their fun-zie candies though UGH! :( Wed, 1 Nov 2006 01:42:47 EST Who Has Kids? What are you doing for Halloween? I am having some conflicted thoughts here. We live in rural south Texas and Halloween is not a big occasion because of the religious stronghold of protestant and baptist parishoners down here.

My family has been invited to the local baptist church "Reality House" (which is sort of like a chick tract in live theatre form). And the local methodist church is doing a "fall festival" that a member has suggested I attend with my kids. Between the two of these activities, they usually ga... Tue, 31 Oct 2006 08:34:06 EST Hi Everyone, just wanted to say hello :) I am a member of a couple other Sparkteams that aren't very talkative... thought I would venture on to join some more teams!

My name is Joni - I am married. Between us we have had 6 children! 2 are married and on their own (and I have 2 grand-children), we have 3 still in the home under age 14 - and 1 was called home to be with Jesus unfortunately a couple years ago.

I got plenty of weight to lose, so I should have plenty to talk (type) about in the coming months! LOL <B... Mon, 30 Oct 2006 22:47:52 EST Just joined I am a catholic homeschooler. I have 6 children. I am so excited to get motivated enough to do something
for myself. I really want to get fit. I'm glad to find this team.
Nancy Sat, 28 Oct 2006 19:26:53 EST Good October Morning! Our Daily Good Morning topic was getting slow to load; we have only so much time in the day, so I'm starting a new thread for October.

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all are doing well. After taking the weekend (and most of last week) off from excessive SP usage, I'm getting back to daily reading of articles and posts and tracking food and exercise.

Patrick and I went for a quick walk in the State Park which runs along the Benicia waterfront. It's part of the ... Mon, 2 Oct 2006 09:44:56 EST Daily Prayer and Exercise Have any of you ever tried a sort of catholic zen combo of Prayer and exercise? My mother in law says she says rosary beads while she walks, and I was wondering whether there were any resources for it.
Tue, 26 Sep 2006 15:04:27 EST still here Wow, it's been a really crazy two weeks...but the good news is that I lost 4 pounds! I couldn't believe it...all I've done is really resist desserts and snacky stuff (I think I have an abnormal "need" for salt sometimes). I've been away from the computer for a few days and I really miss reading the daily emails from I'm in phase two and I feel re-motivated to keep going with this.

I have a fear of failure with this whole weight loss thing. I easily sabotage myself and t... Mon, 25 Sep 2006 00:49:48 EST 'Nuther new member! Hello, Karen! And everyone else!

I've been on SparkPeople since late July, I think. Only started taking it seriously mid to late August. I have Karen to thank! She found my personal weight loss journey blog and pointed me to here.

So I finally decided to look at SparkPages and the link and when I added Karen as a friend, I saw this Team. Man, Karen, I owe you a LOT!

So anyway, I'm Anna, married to Jonathan, mommy to Meghan, Madelynn and Nathan. I work full t... Sat, 16 Sep 2006 13:11:55 EST day one... Hi there,
Well, I just entered what I've eaten so far today on the nutrition finder...I guess I eat more than I realize! And today I was being careful....ah well, that's why I'm here, right? To become aware and healthier (and hopefully thinner).

I just can't seem to envision myself losing the weight, which seems to sabotage me. I give up way too easily, especially when PMS hits and I gain my usual five pounds. That, by the way, is beginning now, so I'm really hopeful that ... Thu, 7 Sep 2006 18:16:49 EST new to group Hi there,
I've "met" Suzan on another group for homeschooling Catholic moms and she recommended I try to help me lose the 30 or so pounds I've acquired (and seem to really like...) after having four children. I've had a back problem (slipped disc) that has kept me from being very active and I'm beyond frustrated! I've gained almost 10 pounds this summer and I just can't stand it anymore. I'd like to feel healthy and active again so that I can enjoy things with my kiddo... Thu, 7 Sep 2006 01:04:33 EST Daily Good Morning How's that for a good new topic?

That said, I'm not feeling "good," but I'm not going to let that bother me. Didn't get enough sleep last night, and what I did get was interrupted (long story), so I have a little headache and am tired. I'll get over it.

Fridays are crazy-busy for me but not starting until later in the morning or early in the afternoon. I'll get my treadmill and toning done before that hits.

Tomorrow, it's pickup day from camp plus the l... Fri, 11 Aug 2006 12:07:58 EST Hello! Hi! My name is Dawn, and I am a stay at home mom of two boys. My oldest, Noah, is 4, and I have been struggling with sending him off to preschool this fall. I think God may be telling me to keep him home, but I am struggling with hearing His voice. I need help learning that! I am also joining the Bible study group to get in the Word, because I think that will help. Sun, 6 Aug 2006 10:24:09 EST Shortcut? Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to have a shortcut to our sparkteam page. I always go to "Community", "Sparkteams", then look up "catholic moms", then click on that.

Thanks. Sun, 30 Jul 2006 14:08:20 EST Busy day! This morning Kat and I went to her school and painted for service hours for 4 hours. Then this afternoon we had a swimming party. I didn so very well on the exercise but not well on the eating. I only ate 845 calories. *sigh* I tried! Really I did! Even with the temptation of brownies and sugar cookies I didn't eat much! I guess the day just got me. ;)

How is everyone today? I hope all are well.
God bless.
Sat, 29 Jul 2006 23:53:41 EST St. John Neumann??? Is Daphnejean and Penelope still in this group? If so, are you members of SJN?

Mulligan130 Wed, 26 Jul 2006 22:11:29 EST New Member 43 Hi everyone,
Just decided to join a team hoping we might be able to help each other out. This is my third week and I lost a little the first two, but lost interest this past week and didn't stick to any of my goals. I'm a catholic mother of four and have lots of daily challenges. I was really happy to find a group of catholic moms! I'm sure if we add a prayer for weight loss, Christ will gladly help us.
p.s. Although the happy face is an angel, I do not claim to... I cannot say that it is the same for me. I am not feeling well, and I am mad at myself. I spent the entire week with almost NO real exercise. This after I got yet another person on the site. I feel sort of like a fraud today. *sigh* I need to get moving again. All I have done is some light walking at work and such. Someone want to kick me in gear again?
