SparkPeople SP Class of February 17-23, 2008 Team Messageboard This team is for all members who joined SP from February 17-23, 2008. Welcome! SparkPeople SP Class of February 17-23, 2008 Team Messageboard December! Here we are, doing the one-month countdown.

Yes, I know it's only 25 days until Christmas, but New Year's Day has a lot more meaning for me in my (ha ha) old age.

Since there is no Thanksgiving in the UK they don't really have any kind of "marker" for when to start doing Christmas stuff. I think they've been showing Christmas movies for two months (I've ignored 'em), playing Christmas music in the stores (blech), and of course decorations and merchandise and all that hav... Sun, 1 Dec 2019 13:52:26 EST November Sometimes I think of November as "the month of waiting" - Thanksgiving isn't until near the end, and of course there's all that hoopla about Christmas, now that the stores start hammering on it in September. Whatever happened to the idea of "Not until after Thanksgiving"?

Here (UK) they've been playing Christmas movies for a month or more. I will be all Christmas-ed out well before December, at this rate. Not that I've watched any of them. I never could abide Christmas carols out o... Sat, 2 Nov 2019 11:25:14 EST October... Don't know where my head is these days - I can't believe it's the 12th and I'm just getting around to the team page!

October is generally the month I return to upstate NY. All my family is there, both the living and the dead, and since the leaves aren't nearly as colorful here, it's also a place where I can enjoy the season.

This year, for the first time in probably twenty years, I won't be going to the States. I'm glad that with modern technology I can at least visit wi... Sat, 12 Oct 2019 14:19:27 EST September... I'm not sure about other places, especially those in the Southern Hemisphere, but where I grew up the new school year started in September, so in many ways I associate "new beginnings" with this month almost more than I do with January.

There are so many things you can choose to do in September: in the North, the weather is getting cooler (or if climate change hasn't completely messed it up, it will be, lol), and it's more pleasant to be outdoors. You might want to use this month ... Sun, 1 Sep 2019 03:25:38 EST AUGUST--!!! SP nudged me that I haven't posted for a while - clearly, I missed July! And here we are with the first week of August already behind us.

My healthy diet fell by the wayside this week as family came over from the US to visit. Somehow sightseeing just seems to end with a visit to the nearest cafe or tea room, lol.

Still, there was lots of walking, with an average of over two miles each day. What's your August looking like? :-)

Wed, 7 Aug 2019 16:01:42 EST JUNE is bustin' out all over--! It's dark and ultimately sad, but "Carousel" is still one of my favorite all-time musicals.

The calendar might say summer officially begins June 21st, but I've always pegged the first day of June as the start of summertime. By then we'd be out of school (and it was lightyears until September), making plans as to when to go to our grandparents' house (that was a once-a-year event, as they lived 400 miles away and it might as well have been on the west coast, lol), getting our librar... Sat, 1 Jun 2019 03:17:28 EST May Day(s)! "All in the merry month of May..."

That's the opening phrase of "Barbara Allen," an old English ballad.

I don't know about merry, but I'm happy seeing the snow behind us. (As far as we know. Never say never.)

Everything's in a bit of a holding pattern now, until September. I'm going over to see the kids in June, a couple of cousins are coming over for a visit in August, and another cousin and I are taking a short break to travel around the Canadian Maritimes f... Sat, 4 May 2019 16:20:24 EST APRIL's half gone! I have (as I always do) a good reason for being late with the April thread. I'm visiting my son and daughter-in-law for a few weeks, and will be home again after Easter.

It's shaping up to be a busy 2019 at the Coff household, at least for the rest of the year, with another trip in June to visit my daughter (and spending the Fourth with her)... cousins visiting me in the UK in August... a cousin and I doing a car trip in the Maritimes in September... and still have the Christmas tr... Sun, 14 Apr 2019 07:55:36 EST March - Fourth, Ides, 'n' all... I don't know how I missed the first of March, and here we are at the midpoint. Me, I'm just hunkering down and waiting for spring. We've had SIX days in a row of downpours and high winds. That's definitely the lion - I hope the lamb shows up soon... o_0 Sat, 16 Mar 2019 15:42:55 EST ANNIVERSARY WEEK! How far have you come in eleven years?

Me, now, while there have been a lot of changes life-wise, there hasn't been much change in weight: I'm just about back where I started 11 years ago, sorry to say. Health: deteriorating slowly, but I'm putting that down to age. ;-) Sun, 17 Feb 2019 02:36:11 EST February 2019 We're coming up on Year 11. I deliberately left our 10-year logo up all year, but I'm planning to go back to the different-one-each-month plan - until Year 15. 211

Meanwhile - how's it going for everyone? What's your health plan? Are you going with the same things you've been doing, or are you exploring new territory?

I don't plan on changing anything, at least not anything major. I don't think my issues are with what I do for a healthy lifestyle. The exer... Sun, 3 Feb 2019 15:21:04 EST New Year! I have been AWOL but (I hope) I will pick up the pace in 2019. It's already shaping up to be a busy year, with various projects, quite a bit of travel, and some family events.

What does this brand new year look like where you're standing? :-) Wed, 2 Jan 2019 18:29:25 EST November: winding down... Here we are at the next-to-the-last month in the year. I am still recuperating from the broken bone, but I am glad to say I'm back home again. That in itself is doing a lot for my spirits. :-)

I've not made any plans for Christmas. The last week of December an old friend will be here from Japan (he moved there some years ago) and we're hoping to be able to share a meal on New Year's Day. My grandmother always said what you do on New Year's you will do all year through. If that mea... Fri, 2 Nov 2018 06:37:05 EST OCTOBER--! October is my favorite month, mostly because I like the chill of autumn after long, hot summers (and this last one surely was that!) and the beauty of the colored leaves.

I don't really do Halloween - it was popular at our house when the kids were little and dressed in costumes, but now, not so much - but October is the top of my List of Twelve nonetheless.

How about you? Where would you rank October in the months of the year? Do you decorate for Halloween, or are you ha... Tue, 16 Oct 2018 07:09:34 EST And at last - SEPTEMBER! The calendar always starts in September for me, not January: one of these years I'm going to plan a grand New Year's Eve party for August 31st, a combination of the best of both worlds, with a cookout, champagne, noisemakers, and sitting around outdoors instead of shut up inside because of the cold, lol.

On to it: any healthy-lifestyle goals for this month? And with the loads of harvest-season produce, any new recipes / diets in the offing?

I had a goal for August of e... Sat, 1 Sep 2018 09:09:53 EST Class news... Today Coach Jen posted this on a team leader forum:

We've been talking for quite a while about discontinuing the new member "class" teams. Participation in those has dropped considerably in recent years, for a number of different reasons- other features like the Community Feed, New Member Challenge and other good resources for newbies- etc. It can become frustrating for leaders to try and engage members in this teams without any success.

We also have some new features f... Wed, 30 May 2018 21:25:44 EST May Day(s)! Once again I'm behind it - so it goes... ;-)

Spring has finally gotten out of the gate, but it's a rough start here in the upper midwest. Sub-freezing temps one day, mid-80s the next - not sure whether we should have the heat on or the A/C!

How's everything in your neck of the woods? Sun, 6 May 2018 13:06:54 EST 1 March - TODAY'S TOP STORY Well, look at this - we're featured on the Start page!

w-sa.asp

224 Thu, 1 Mar 2018 08:25:24 EST We're in the SPOTLIGHT--! Take a look at this:

g.asp?post=spark_class_of_2008_celebra
tes_10_years

#FeelingSpecial

224 Sun, 25 Feb 2018 08:03:37 EST An offer from SP to feature OUR TEAM! A couple of months ago I contacted Coach Jen and asked if there was a way SP could acknowledge our team's special 10th anniversary. I think a whole decade on Spark as individuals and as a team (even if we don't have many active members these days) is A. Big. Deal.

Jen said she couldn't really help but that she would check around and see if someone at Spark could come up with a way to do something special.

A month or so ago Melissa Rudy (staff writer on SP) emailed me; yo... Sun, 18 Feb 2018 05:24:55 EST February chit-chat Feel free to share anything here! Our anniversary month! Wed, 14 Feb 2018 16:46:10 EST DECEMBER--! Almost another whole year gone by the boards - time does seem to fly ever faster.

Even in the midst of holiday preparations and the hustle-and-bustle, try to spare a thought for January. It's never too early to draw up some resolutions, set some goals, figure out some guidelines for the new year.

What would you like to achieve in 2018?
249 Sun, 3 Dec 2017 08:40:35 EST October, October--! New week, new month: anything planned in this most autumnal of months?
465 Sun, 1 Oct 2017 12:06:40 EST mid-SEPTEMBER! In addition to the daily alarm clock, I need a monthly one to nudge me for the team image, lol...

334 Fri, 15 Sep 2017 03:12:52 EST August 2017 Another month chalked off the calendar - and a good time to evaluate.

What did you achieve last month? What are you planning to do this month?

I always feel like August is a pause on the stage of Life: waiting for school to start, waiting for autumn, waiting for the holiday season.
213 Tue, 1 Aug 2017 09:46:24 EST July 2017 Once again I've come up for air only to discover half the "new" (!) month has gotten away from me.

It's been a heckuva summer, with one thing after another: the printer, the computer, maintenance & repairs. As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say, it's always something.
211 Fri, 14 Jul 2017 11:25:11 EST June 2017 After something like 9 straight days of rain we have a sunny blue-skies morning. I hope it stays that way!

What's happening in your neck of the woods?
213 Sat, 3 Jun 2017 10:43:32 EST MAY 2017 ...let us begin anew.

I am still in the northeast. We finally have some semblance of spring (this after two mornings last week of 34F temps). There was a threat of snow-showers yesterday morning that fortunately never materialized.

I went for a two-mile walk after breakfast. I probably ate more protein from the gnats I swallowed than I did in the Greek yogurt.

How did we get from gotta-wear-thermal-underwear to "get ready for the midges and blackflies" so soon... Thu, 4 May 2017 15:31:36 EST MARCH I don't know how I missed February, but it looks as though I did.

I'm ready for winter to be over - I hope we have a nice, lingering spring.

I think I'm going to leave the "9" for our team image, at least for a while. I kind of like the reminder that our class has been here for nine years now - that ain't hay!
224 Fri, 3 Mar 2017 07:52:35 EST JANUARY Looks like I completely missed December. Well, mebbe I did, at that...

Not too far into the New Year - what are your plans for making it a good 'un?
213 Mon, 16 Jan 2017 11:34:48 EST November Another turn of the (calendar) page - this year seems to be dissolving before my very eyes.

How're the holidays shaping up for you - any plans yet?
213 Tue, 1 Nov 2016 19:50:45 EST OCTOBER! The year is flying by - I think of October as more for apples and colored leaves than I do September. My favorite month in my favorite time of year!
465 Mon, 3 Oct 2016 03:50:30 EST September Y'all need to nudge me now and then - September's more than half over, but I finally remembered to change our team image / calendar.
211 Sun, 18 Sep 2016 17:32:16 EST July... Anybody doing anything special this month? :-) Mon, 4 Jul 2016 22:44:37 EST Recent changes to personal SparkPage... I copied this from another Sparkler:

Dear Team,

As you may have noticed, SparkPeople has changed our SparkPages. If you are not pleased with the new design and how it is working, please message them about it. They have a suggestion box, which you can use to let them know how you feel. Here is the link to that:

ug
gestion_box.asp

This can be used for anything, anytime, so please bookmar... Mon, 30 May 2016 03:33:21 EST Ignore that "inactive team leader" thing-- I'm not inactive, exactly. Just behind. Per usual.
29 Fri, 1 Apr 2016 11:02:17 EST I missed the beginning... ...of the year. I like to think I do that fresh-start thing, but since my memory's not what it used to be, maybe everything seems like a fresh start--!

Instead of the usual lose weight / get fit resolutions, I did something a little different: I set myself a series of reading resolutions.* I have things like "Read a book over 500 pages" and "Read a book by an author under 30" and "Read a book you were assigned in school but skipped out of doing." As if I'd do anything like that, ... Sat, 9 Jan 2016 15:57:45 EST And December has rolled around again... Where has 2015 gone?

Here we are in the home stretch - what's up at your house?

I'm away from my home gym and there's none close by here, so while I should be capable of continuing the non-equipment exercises on my own, I seem to be full of excuses why not to.

I think for my New Year's Resolutions I should put FIND MOTIVATION.
211 Mon, 7 Dec 2015 22:09:20 EST Running late into - NOVEMBER! Clearly I'm behind it, this being the middle of November 'n' all. We've been having a once-in-a-decade mild fall here in the Northeast, leading into what I hope will be an unusually mild winter. After last winter, we've earned a break - and a break on the heat bills as well!

Now that we're heading into the biggies (holidays, that is) what're your game plans? I'm hoping sticking to portion control and holding the line on between-meal noshing will do the trick. I suppose January will... Mon, 16 Nov 2015 07:03:32 EST Hello, October! The season has definitely turned where I am - how about you?

Time to prepare for The Season. Am I talking about jack-o'lanterns? No. Thanksgiving turkey? Nope. Christmas shopping? Nuh uh.

I'm talking about the PLAN to thwart temptation (candy corn! pumpkin pies!) and stay healthy.

You know the old saying - failing to plan is planning to fail. It's never too early to plan...
211 Thu, 1 Oct 2015 04:06:22 EST September-- Here we are, a new month and autumn in the offing. I always think of the year starting in September more than January - no doubt a holdover from long-past schooldays.

With the kids back in school, things have quieted down at the indoor pools and in most of the public places, at least during the weekdays. We've just about finished settling into our new digs, except for some minor tweaks here and there - a couple of pictures I want to frame, two old dining room chairs I plan to re-co... Fri, 4 Sep 2015 03:30:19 EST August NEWS-- I posted a note on the team wall, but since it wouldn't let me add the link as a true link, here's what Coach Jen sent out:

st=check_out_sparkpeoples_new_challenges

Essentially, Spark is putting a direct link to its challenge page on the start page. It's been incorporated as part of Step 2, where the SparkPoints are.

Check out the article and earn five SparkPoints. And if you want to see the "page of ch... Wed, 26 Aug 2015 13:53:45 EST JULY--! I am, per usual, a few days behind it - am I predictable? lol...

New team image today. I don't know how summery the cherry blossoms are (at least, they appear to be cherry blossoms in DC - isn't that the Jefferson Memorial in the background?) but "Hello, July" is certainly appropriate.

Who's doing what now that the high hot days of summer have arrived? (Depending where you live, of course. Here, 86 is a heat wave with no A/C; in Oz, o'course, it's mid-winter.)
<em... The motivation of the New Year and setting goals and resolutions is over; now comes the hard part. I feel as though I just have to grit my teeth sometimes and slog on through.

How can exercising for half-an-hour feel so good when I'm done, and be so hard to start? Sun, 1 Feb 2015 04:24:25 EST Day One I have a few irons in the fire, but I plan on a slow-and-steady approach. (I hope, lol!) Mon, 1 Dec 2014 14:47:51 EST Tempus Fugit The year is waning - already it's November. I always feel as though this is The Month of Anticipation, with Thanksgiving near the end, swiftly followed by December - The Month of Celebration.

The last of the colored leaves are still on the trees, and there's talk of an early first snowfall. The Powers That Be had indicated they'd be changing some things around for the team pages - as much as anything, giving it a different look and streamlining some of the features.

So, you know the drill: anything new takes getting used to. Eat more simply, more veggies, food that I can count the calories for rather than choosing something I don't know and can have all kinds of hidden calories.
3) Finish my va... Fri, 2 Oct 2009 09:43:37 EST Vette Hello, everyone I have been a member for almost two years ,but I never committed. I'm ready to commit now. Thu, 10 Sep 2009 23:59:00 EST Falling into health-- eptember Okay another month closer to year end. But it's also the start of a new season, those who have children at home are waving them off to school. For me, it's the end of a summer away in foreign lands.

My goals for September are to finish my holidays safely, to renew my marriage, to keep maintaining @ 125 pounds in a healthy way. Wed, 2 Sep 2009 11:47:36 EST HELLO EVERYBODY. REQUESTING SUGGESTIONS! HI! I FOUND SPARKPEOPLE OVER A YEAR AGO AND HAVE BEEN USING IT OFF AND ON EVER SINCE. I AM HAVING A REAL TOUGH TIME STAYING FOCUSED AND NOT GETTING DISCOURAGED. I HAD TO START HORMONE THERAPY ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND HAVE REALLY HAD A HARD TIME KEEPING MY WEIGHT UNDER CONTROL. AND I HAVE HAD QUITE A BIT OF STRESS WHICH I KEEP READING MAKES IT EVEN HARDER. ANYWAY, ENOUGH OF THE EXCUSES. MY MAIN OBSTACLES: NOT ENOUGH TIME AND ENERGY! I DRIVE AN HOUR EACH WAY TO WORK, MY JOB IS AN ... Tue, 25 Aug 2009 22:24:16 EST August goals Sorry I am late posting this topic. I've been in the West Highlands of Scotland without access to a computer. But I am back in England and my friend now has wireless activated in her house so I can use my laptop. Yay!! I had a great trip in Scotland; walked an average of 10 miles for 6 consecutive days. But I also ate enormous quantities of food so I am not looking forward to weighing myself this Sunday.

Goals for August:
Stay below at or below 125 pounds.
Exercise at lea... Thu, 6 Aug 2009 19:08:33 EST Hi, I'm Esther I'm a 30 year old woman who has battled with my weight for as long as I can remember! Just when I think I have my weight under control, life happens and everything goes south - literally! I am unfortunately, an emotional eater and when life takes its toll, I head straight for the fridge or cupboard! I want to take control of my life and would like you to walk with me, as I walk with you on this journey to a healthy and wholesome life!

Hope to chat soon... Thu, 9 Jul 2009 10:46:16 EST July--are we getting to where we want to be? Okay I struggled to figure out what July's "challenge" could be. I've been floating along all of June sparkpeople-wise. I reached my weight goal and I started the month eating healthy because of the IBS and still recovering from the surgery. The last two weeks though what with moving out of Santa Fe and camping out at dd's, my nutrition has slipped. Badly. I've gained a pound despite a lot of exercising with DVDs. I've rediscovered my love of sugar. I haven't really binged in the way I could ... Wed, 1 Jul 2009 10:31:13 EST JUNE, we're halfway through the year, where to now Okay, so we will be halfway through the year by the end of June. How are we doing and where are we going? What do you want to accomplish in June that, as you look back in December, you will see as a real turning point for you? Something you'll be proud of?

For me, I want to nail down a healthy regimen. I discovered after my surgery in April that I seem to now have irritable bowel syndrome. I am experimenting with the best way to eat so that it doesn't flare up and I'm still teeter ... Mon, 1 Jun 2009 09:25:06 EST New Features on our Spark Pages Has anyone noticed the new features on our Spark Pages? I haven't figured them all out, but wanted to share my favorite find so far. Did you know you can go to someone's photo gallery, click on one picture to enlarge it then hit "previous photo" or "next photo" to continue seeing enlarged photos? We used to have to close one photo then click on the next to enlarge it. Saves a step and goes much faster! What is your favorite new feature? If we all share our finds here we'll all learn the... Wed, 20 May 2009 14:28:37 EST May a month for lightening up! It's a new month, one that has always been my favorite. Why? Well, because where I grew up (Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the frozen North) May was when Spring seriously arrived. Trees blossomed, flowers bloomed, the last threat of frost retreated (well, by May 24th, the official "Montreal Planting Day"). Only one more month of school remained before summer break. I could shed several pounds' worth of clothing, wear knee socks and light shoes.

And it's on this last--shedding pounds--th... Fri, 1 May 2009 08:05:51 EST GO TRILLIUM GO!! TRILLIUM has her half marathon this weekend, let's figure out how many ways we can encourage her!!

244 247 Thu, 16 Apr 2009 09:26:21 EST Care corner I've created this topic for those of you who don't feel like posting on the "how are you doing" because you're really struggling. So imagine this care corner is a room filled with sunlight and couches and warm blankies and warm (low fat) cocoa and just crawl in. Teddy bears are available as well :) If you want to talk, talk. If not, just know that this IS indeed a CARE corner!

Val Wed, 1 Apr 2009 09:01:26 EST April, the beginning of a new year, new life! Whether you're a Christian or not, you can't help knowing that, at least in the Northern hemisphere, Spring is really the time that a new year begins. Life springs from the earth, the suns gets stronger and sinks into our bones again, baby animals are born....

So, I'm waxing philosophic but, I've been thinking that April CAN be a time of new beginnings for us. Let's make April's Challenge meaningful to US. Your most important goals may not be about exercise or eating healthy--they ... Sat, 28 Mar 2009 10:41:56 EST March 22-28, we're in the home stretch! I think I may be over the "PMS and whatever" hump but I think I'm still going to be moderate this week with my goals:
Monday 30 minutes with Leslie Sansone
Tuesday weekly hike
Wednesday 30 minutes with Leslie Sansone
Thursday 30 minutes with Leslie Sansone
Friday 30 minutes walking outside
Saturday 30 minutes walking outside
And, with all of that, sticking to my calorie range every day!
Val Mon, 23 Mar 2009 09:51:36 EST March 15-21 third week of challenge! I had to adjust the dates to keep them to our Sunday-Saturday challenge so you'll see some overlap from last week's goals. I'm about to tally up last week's results so if you made your goals, please post on March 8-15th.

I didn't make my 45 minutes E at dd's but I'm proud of the fact that I did do SOME E two days out of three and I didn't overeat.

Okay, my challenge this week is to exercise 45 minutes 5x out of 7 and to get SOME E on the 6th day. And on the 7th day to wr... Mon, 16 Mar 2009 09:28:54 EST March 8-15 keep it going! State this weeks's goals 438

My goals are: Exercise 45 minutes a day, 6x per week. Rest and re-creation 1x per week!

Let's go ladies! Sun, 8 Mar 2009 11:25:38 EST How are we doing today? I've created this quickie topic so that people can stop by and say "hi" without feeling pressured to say much more :) Just know that we care how you're doing.

My dh is off most Fridays so I don't have time to post much until tonight. But wanted to wish each and every one of you a happy Friday and hope all are well and happy!

Val Fri, 6 Mar 2009 09:54:20 EST I Walked 10K Today! I wanted to walk in a 8k today but as it turned out we couldn't afford the registration fees right now so I decided I would just do it virtually. So I set out this morning but I didn't just walk 8k this morning, I went the extra mile or more, lol, and I walked 10k. 244 for me! Sat, 28 Feb 2009 13:50:02 EST March 1-7 challenge begins! Okay, state your daily exercise goal below. Each day that you meet your exercise goal, put a 248 next to your name. At the end of the week (Saturday night), whoever met her goal will get a 137 next to their name both on this thread and a goodie sent to them as well. For those of us who keep Sundays as days of rest, you can include a quiet walk or meditation as a goal as well. Hope this is clear! I'm about to leave for Flagstaff so won't be replying to the thread until to... Sat, 28 Feb 2009 10:03:06 EST This calorie burning thingie!!! Okay folks... we have been doing this for a year now. I am a reader but not much of a poster but one thing really "eats" at me and that's burning calories. My observations:

1. I am active. I don't sit at a desk all day or watch a lot of tv, but no place can I log this. At work I am on my feet and moving at least 5 hours during a normal day. Can I count this as walking even though it is not part of a structured walking program?

2. Again with the moving - the lists gi... Sat, 28 Feb 2009 09:39:17 EST So where are you from?? Sun, 22 Feb 2009 07:16:59 EST We Need A New Team Leader I'm sure we all are all hit in the face with the notification on the front page that our leaders have been inactive on this site for more than 60 days now and that this team needs a new leader. I would more than be happy to step up except that I all ready lead 3 teams and have a lot of other stuff on my plate. I thought that I would explain what it entails to be a leader hoping that maybe someone else my jump up and do this. It really doesn't take a lot of time but it does help to have mor... Wed, 29 Oct 2008 20:29:22 EST What I've Learned About Myself The past 3 weeks have been tough for me emotionally. Before SparkPeople, I would have done a lot of emotional eating to cope, but not this time. Because of my activity on SparkPeople, and the encouragement I get from my SparkFriends, I was able to use other coping skills, especially physical activity, to keep from eating what I shouldn't.

What I've learned is that I don't have to turn to food. Physical labor and activity is good for the soul! I've gotten in more exercise and my... Wed, 29 Oct 2008 13:44:45 EST How do you get your motivation back? Mon, 17 Mar 2008 09:02:58 EST Back From Vacation and Bummed! I was doing so great... until I went to Florida for 9 days. I'm so bummed out. I had every intention of working out and eating healthy. That went right down the toilet. I worked out 2 times in 9 days (minus any walking I did) and ate out at least 5 times. I'm so devistated. I feel like everything I did up until that point has been lost. I never even logged on the site while I was gone.
What bothers me even more is the night I came back I had to go straight to work and haven't had a da... I have to admit that I joined a few weeks ago - but I didn't really get motivated until about a week or so later. I think it was the extra 5 pounds that I gained over the first week (too much of my own birthday cake...) that really gave me the motivation to get on track. I continue to struggle with finding time for exercise but the Nutrition tracker is really keeping me on track with my calories.

I did have a "blow it" weekend w...
