I will be in Scotland on May 5th, which is a Bank Holiday. I can find very little on the Internet about what is open/closed on a bank holiday. Also, would restaurants be affected? Thanks! Sun, 9 Mar 2014 11:35:20 EST Middle East - stories that take place there We can also share travel books, of course, but I love the novels (fiction or non-fiction) that give me a sense of the place or the culture that I would not otherwise have gotten.

In My Father's Country by Saima Wahab
This is an extraordinary and relevant autobiography of a determined Afghan woman of the Pastun tribe. Thu, 13 Feb 2014 08:37:19 EST Challenge - Walk at least 10,000 steps daily! I have several pedometers sitting in my drawer so I'll choose one, dust it off and start wearing it again. From the past I know that I do easily walk over 10,000 steps on a normal day at work but that number falls off dramatically on the weekend (sometimes as low as 2,000 because I'm sitting and studying all day).

So, let's see if the goal of 10,000 steps every day can be reached. Sun, 9 Feb 2014 13:14:20 EST Challenge - Document what you eat! This was one of the most useful tools for me in the past and I believe it is very useful for everyone who has the discipline to do it. Fri, 7 Feb 2014 17:12:42 EST Reorganization of the Love to Travel page I would like to set up the team slightly differently, but there are limitations. For example, I would like to leave the Forums as we had them and just add one for Nutrition but I was limited to only three (plus the first two that are default for the system).

So, I only removed the "games" and added "Nutrition" so we can have a place to talk about food on our travels, an issue that comes up a lot for many people.

I hope we will have many people visiting and commenting on... Thu, 7 Jul 2011 10:49:04 EST Eating "clean" Have you improved the quality of your food? I believe I can finally say that I have actually started to eat "clean". This has been awhile coming for me as I was reluctant to give up the things I enjoy. While I was on vacation this last time, I had a change of heart and have finally found that it is easier to resist foods that are not good for the body.

The biggest change is probably that I really try to eat all organic fruits and veggies now but there are other things I do to he... I just wrote a blog post about this and I was wondering if any of you guys had similar stories.
