There is the Spintacular, which is a nice 5K around a neighborhood in Mayfield (by Sacandaga Lake). As it says, you can run or walk it. It is a small race, and they are really friendly. It was mostly plants but I did get an overflowing quart basket of strawberries and a big bunch of radishes. The strawberries are so sweet that they don't need any sugar. I am rehearsing to do a couple of songs for an audition and wanted to work on the sound and my stage presence, so I had the bright idea of taking the digital camera and taping myself in action. Whoa!!!! It didn't help that I did not have any makeup on and the light was unforgivingly harsh. I can see I need quite a bit of work on the exterior packaging. As it starts getting colder and colder, yes we might have some snow today, it probably will impact on the exercise some of us get. The best investment I ever made for exercise was a nice treadmill from Sears that my husband swore (secretly) that I would never use. I have belonged to Bali Fitness before, had gyms available at work, but the most consistent thing I have is this treadmill. I don't have to go out in the cold, or stay after work, it is accessible at all times and I have it set u... Sun, 18 Oct 2009 07:27:40 EST Continued Success Well, I get weighed-in on Thursday and I think since I started on this new doctor-mediated (and medicated) program I will be down between ten and twelve pounds this month. I am already noticing a physical difference. And I eat three meals a day of my own choosing. I also am hitting the treadmill at least every other day.
