Sun, 1 Nov 2015 01:30:19 EST New to the team Hello everyone :) Love yoga, but haven't done it in a long time......... getting back to it as I have missed it so much. Sat, 31 Oct 2015 07:04:58 EST Which yoga is best for just stretching? I've thought over the answers to the last question I asked and I've decided that yoga for strength training is not right for me. I would however love to use yoga for other benefits, such as stress reduction, relaxation, and especially flexibility. I would be doing it two times a week on my off days when I'm not strength training. I'm wondering if someone could tell me what the best types of yoga would be for flexibility but that would not put strain on my muscles. Thank you so much :). I'm not sure if it's because I'm new and it's difficult or because it's a little boring but 20-30 minutes seems like it would be more than enough. I'm not sure I could find enough motivation to do this in 60-90 minute increments. I could't spend that much time doing weight training either. How often and for how long do mos... So I've only done a bit of yoga in the past but I'm looking to get into it more extensively. There seem to be so many different kinds though. I want to use it as a way to tone my body as I don't really want to use weights. I want to start out slowly though. Could anyone tell me perhaps the order of the yoga I should move through. I don't want to start out with power yoga. Fri, 29 May 2015 13:07:28 EST My ex chiropractor is anti yoga... About a year ago I hurt my back doing CNA work. I went to a Chiropractor and he asked what I did for exercise. I had just started yoga and mentioned that. He told me I should stop yoga and that it was super bad and many people got hurt doing it. I'm no longer going to that doctor but just today I read an article about someone who said their chiropractor told them yoga was good and that if all people did yoga, he'd lose 80% of his patients. I'm wondering if perhaps my doctor told me to stop be... Wed, 27 May 2015 19:36:23 EST A little late to the party but here are my goals! Hey there! I just joined SparkPeople today. Very cool.
