I am home with the flu or some gastrointestinal malady, and decided to make the day worthwhile. As a rule, I wouldn't have (or take) the time to navigate this website, but I'm pleased that I am doing so now! I have a sedentary business, and the waistline is confirming my lack of exercise. I'm counting on the team members here to kick my butt and get me going in a downward spiral (weightwise). Sat, 16 Oct 2010 15:09:49 EST Log October workouts here! Yes, I suck. Sat, 29 Aug 2009 15:56:29 EST Night Snacker! Hi everyone! I'm Chris, I'm 22 and I'm a college student at the University of Kentucky. I found SparkPeople because of my awesome neighbor Melanie, who decided to change her life by taking care of herself and being her own priority. I work and go to school (the last semester of undergrad- yay!). Wed, 26 Aug 2009 19:39:59 EST Need to get going and I am New Well I just joined sparkpeople today and already I feel like I have done something good for myself. I turned 30 this year and it has been a real turning point and made me start looking at my life. I have been overweight since I was a child and I am tired of living life in the shadows, always being anxious about where I set or how I look. I am not just doing this because of cosmetic reasons I am wanting to get healthy. I am 264 lbs and only 5'4, which is totally not going to help me live a... Nothing I ate was as bad as some of this stuff.

Mon, 24 Aug 2009 13:34:32 EST Finally getting serious I joined Sparkpeople back in March, but have played around with it and mostly ignored it. I've gotten some news from the lab test of my recent physical that shows me it's time to buckle down and really get with this weight loss thing for my health, since I don't seem to be willing to do it for appearance. I'm 61 years old and so, of course, have much more difficulty losing than I used to. But that's no excuse and I'm starting again. Tue, 18 Aug 2009 18:48:56 EST New to Lexington, Resuming Spark People Hi All,
I just moved to Lexington from Ann Arbor. I had a workout/support group there and they all swore by Spark People. Mon, 24 Nov 2008 11:25:21 EST Week of 11/23 - Fitness Challenge - +10% Here's an easy one for you! So last night I learned that Wheat Thins can trigger a massive crave as powerful as the need for a cigarette (most powerful addictive substance I've personally had) and afterwards I had a handful of candy (see blog).

What (if any) foods trigger craves and binges for you? I think I will probably go check out that general forum post at walking at the arboretum now as well! Wed, 6 Aug 2008 00:21:44 EST Note new team goal below! I've tried to keep the parameters of this goal fairly simple, since I don't know what type of exercise most of you do, or how much.

Basically:

Click to add the goal to your Other Goals. Then, record the number of miles you walk or run each day on the Other Goals page. If you use a treadmill, write down the 'distance' traveled and record it.
