(I say about because I forgot to get on the scale this morning so I'll have to double check that tomorrow haha). I live in Ohio with my husband of 25 years and our youngest son who will be 21 in August. We also have a 25 year old son and a 23 year old daughter who is the mother of my four-year-old grandson and our brand new grandson who will be born in August.

Along with ... Mon, 4 Jun 2018 13:56:26 EST New and Nervous I'm very excited and nervous about this journey. I am optimistic and excited to learn and share with each and everyone of you! Wed, 11 Apr 2018 11:51:20 EST my goals I want to lose a total of 40 pounds. I have lost 7 so far. My main goal is to get energy to do what I want and to not have pain in legs, back, feet , and neck. I fell like I am 80 and I am only 49. I want to make permanent changes in my life so I can be healthy, fit , and active. Sun, 25 Mar 2018 09:27:32 EST New member I have struggled with my weight off and on since my twenties. I am currently about 40 lbs. overweight. Exercise is something I've always enjoyed and don't have to push myself much to do consistently. Having consistent healthy dietary habits and not bingeing when I'm stressed out are two goals for me, along with weight loss. I have a tendency to overeat, and even if it's healthy food choices, those extra calories add up. I am hoping to be inspired by many of you. I am hoping we can work ... Mon, 26 Feb 2018 17:34:09 EST Hello~! Hello! My name is Melissa and I have been on Spark a lil over a month now and am still learning how to navigate it. I would like to lose 40 lbs and I am finding it harder than when I was younger! Fri, 23 Feb 2018 14:59:27 EST Introduction Hi, my name is Lea. I’ve been struggling with my weight for many years now, so I’m looking forward to having support and help with this journey. One of my biggest struggles is that I’m not an athletic person in any way. I’d much rather do crafts or read and I’ve pretty much always been that way. I do like to ride my bicycle, but that is seasonal, especially since my asthma kicks up in extreme hot or cold weather. Thu, 15 Feb 2018 12:15:42 EST New member. Hello everyone. Thanks for letting me join your team! I would consider myself a successful dieter. I lost 100 lbs about 15 years ago. Over the last two years I have let 26 lbs creep back on. Some of the reasons I have gained the weight. Laziness, getting older, marrying a man that has an awesome metabolism. I want to lose the 26lbs, to take me to 197. Then I would like to continue to lose 22 to get to 175. That second goal will be tough for me. I know for me I have to be vigilant. I can't do ... Fri, 26 Jan 2018 06:18:59 EST A Better Me I will be 50 in March, and I'm the heaviest I've ever been at 224 pounds. I am not comfortable in my skin and embarrassed to go around people that knew me at 174 pounds 2 years ago so I stay home a lot. I just got engaged and that combined with turning 50 has motivated me to get back to myself and I have set a goal of 170 pounds. I need all the prayers, support, and encouragement I can get! I need to hold myself accountable and do the work but most of all I need consistent self motivation.... Sat, 6 Jan 2018 13:47:07 EST Must do something different Hello to all! New to the team, not new to Spark. However, I have not taken it seriously in quite some time. I've now reached the highest weight I have ever been, 169 lbs. (one lb. less than my max. weight during pregnancy.) It may not sound horrible, but my 5' 3" frame is sick of it.

I consider myself pretty healthy and have a long history of exercise. My last 1/2 marathon was a wreck and it was pretty obvious that my body did not want to carry this much weight that many miles... Fri, 5 Jan 2018 16:58:00 EST Blood Type eating? I bought the book (I think years ago) but have never gotten past the first few pages. I've put it on my bedside table and have been reading nightly. I thought I wasn't going to "join" until I finished it... but decided against that idea.

I was reading an article where this woman lost weight and she said she worked with a trainer that never focused on the numbers on the scale.... just a mantra... Each Day Better. It stuck to me. ... Tue, 13 Sep 2016 17:19:06 EST Hello! Trying to get healthy one day at at time!! Hopefully I can loose this weight 9 and keep it off and live a healthy lifestyle!!! Fri, 26 Aug 2016 09:07:56 EST Still a 40-something! I have about a little over a year that I can still say I'm a 40-something. I've been battling my food intake for over 15 years. I recognize I have a serious cheese addiction. I've been stuck in a self-sabotaging cycle for what seems like forever. They say insanity is when you keep doing the same things and expecting different results.... :) I truly wish to change, do things differently, find what works for me and stick with it. What puzzles me is - if I want this sooooo badly - why do I... Thu, 25 Aug 2016 14:17:37 EST Hi New still trying to figure this all out. Tue, 23 Aug 2016 13:27:45 EST Ready I have been on and off SP since 2008. Have had a few times that I got to a comfortable weight and reverted back to old behaviors only to find the weight again. I'm back and this time, I am going to really focus on maintenance once I hit my goal weight instead of stopping once I hit a weight that I am comfortable.
I am married with 2 daughters, ages 22 and 16. I also have a 5 year old grandson who was completely unexpected, came to soon (daughter was 16) and made me a very young gran... Thu, 18 Aug 2016 06:28:45 EST new Hi there, just joined today and I am a little overwhelmed at all the info on the site but baby steps lol. I logged my breakfast and did manage to connect my fitbit. My biggest hurdle is staying motivated, I have a long way to go with 35 pounds to lose but I have done it before and know its possible but not quick. I am hoping this site will keep me going.

Good luck to everyone! 213 Mon, 15 Aug 2016 10:05:52 EST My first time I came upon this website by accident and I'm really excited to try it out. As I get older and my schedule becomes more hectic, I notice how challenging it is to keep exercise and good nutrition in my life. I hope the challenges and encouragement will help me along the way. I'm also a very picky eater (getting pickier as I age) and am wondering what people think of using a vegan protein powder for quick meals. I bought Naturade Vegan smart all-in-one nutritional shake today hoping it will help... Sun, 14 Aug 2016 02:52:08 EST Hello Hello all-I am back again but this time with 10 more lbs to lose than the last time, 35-40 ideally. I need to stop with the excuses and just do it this time. It seems to be much harder now that I am 45 than it was when I was 25, or even 35. Hopefully we can all support and encourage each other here. Wed, 10 Aug 2016 10:09:28 EST First 45 years - next 45 years Hi there! My first 45 years of life was spent over-indulging on food and alcohol, not focusing on my health or weight. As a result, I was up to 207 pounds, ended up with a benign pancreatic tumor, and now type 1 diabetic as a result of said pancreatic tumor removal. However, I'm more determined than ever to change by lifestyle and be healthy for the next 45 years of my life! Mon, 8 Aug 2016 10:50:56 EST Hi everyone! I am very hopeful that I will find the support I need to stay on track with my weight loss here. Mon, 11 Jul 2016 05:50:46 EST Introducing myself back into Spark Hi, my name is Steph. I'm in North TX & will be 44 next month. In 2014 after moving back here from E. TX, I threw myself into healthy eating & exercise, and as a result lost a good 22 lbs, was strong, and felt amazing. Between April of 2015 & now, I've managed to pack on 30lbs. Of course, I'm tired, depressed, unhealthy, and basically unhappy. I'm looking to once again reverse that. So very ready to live again, & I'm glad to be here. Looking forward to surprising myself! Sun, 10 Jul 2016 00:04:38 EST Timing of exercise and biggest meal of day? I am curious - what time of day do you primarily work in some exercise? And...what time of day do you eat your biggest meal (in size, calories, etc.)? Is there anything magical about the timing on either? Thu, 23 Jun 2016 14:38:38 EST Hi it's me, Christy I am a 40+ single mother of 3 wonderful children. I need to lose more than a few pounds, and in general just need to be more active, as I have a sit down job... Overall, me and my children are looking to make healthier life style changes. I suffer from a few mild conditions, that are most likely fixed by making better choices and exercising more. If you have any suggestions you'd like to share, I'm willing to take the advice :) Mon, 20 Jun 2016 14:17:43 EST Plateau for months...frustrated Hi, I'm new here. I was losing weight and am half way to my goal but have been stuck on a plateau for months. I get to 170, then the next day 171 , next day 172, the third day 173. Then I will sit there for a day or three and then go back down over the course of another three days to 170 and start all over again. I'm dieting and following a metabolic program with support but nobody knows what's wrong with me and I'm really frustrated. If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them! Mon, 2 May 2016 11:30:10 EST Hi Hello everyone! My name is Deb, I am 45 (almost) years old and need to lose 25 pounds. I quit smoking a year and a half ago and have been consistently gaining weight every since. I have always been thin until this point. I am mostly vegetarian. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and using spark again. Wed, 27 Apr 2016 09:14:50 EST Working towards change... needing motivation. I am a 44 year old mom of two. The last 2 years I dealt with major life changes and stress with food. SUGAR!!! Now that life has calmed and I have learned better ways to deal, I am stuck with 50 extra pounds. I feel like I am stuck in a cycle of either clean eating/exercise or all out binge eating. No happy medium. I can diet and exercise, I can't find the balance. The healthy relationship with food. Thanks all! Wed, 20 Apr 2016 12:51:34 EST
