I'm using a technique that seems to work really well so far. Its making a short positive encouraging message to myself that I listen to a few times a day (especially when I'm feeling tired). I read about it in a short and fun book on Kindle, called "Size 12 to Size 6: Replacing Self Sabotaging Thoughts and Lose Weight Easily."
It helped me years ago, and I have kept off the weight, and now I am using it... Tue, 8 Jul 2014 12:19:50 EST Introduction Hi all! I'm new to SparkPeople and am trying to keep my motivation. I'm 38 and would like to lose 10 pounds. Doesn't seem like a huge amount but it feels like a monumental hurdle to me. I'm 5'3 so every single excess pound seems to really show itself. I have two young daughters - one is 2 1/2 and the other is 1 yr old. I've lost most, if not all, the pregnancy weight although I do feel that my tummy area is somewhat different. I am currently at 138lbs. and have also recently joined WW... Tue, 13 May 2014 10:17:22 EST Newbie! I've been using SparkPeople (off and on) for the past 3 years or so, but just recently joined again because I remembered the food tracking on it was AWESOME. I've never used the forums until now.
This forum grabbed me because, yes, I'm proudly in my thirties and yes, I don't really want or need to lose weight, and yes, I'm getting kind of tired of people asking me if I have an eating disorder because I track what I eat.

So. Anyway. HI! Mon, 12 May 2014 10:46:28 EST Rebounding from surgery + NEED support! Hello all! I am new to this site, but it came highly recommended from my fellow group of runners. Although I spent my 20s playing soccer in college .....I am now facing the reality that I'm 30 + and my legs don't quite do what they used to :p. In the fall, I came face to face with that reality when I tore my ACL while playing rec soccer. I had a complete reconstruction in November... but through the recovery process and lack of ability to exercise I have put on almost 10 pounds since my s... Wed, 23 Apr 2014 20:03:55 EST Candy Hoarding So here is an interesting question. Does anyone else hoard candy when they start trying to lose weight? I noticed when I was trying to lose 10 pounds for my wedding(Gained it back and trying to lose it again), that I started hoarding candy, I wouldn't over eat it or anything. A small square here or a small piece there just to keep myself in check. And it worked, I rarely ever ate much dessert...something about knowing it was there if I wanted it. Well now that I'm going to hawaii in september... Thu, 3 Apr 2014 15:52:01 EST Hi ! I'm new to this app. Hope it helps me in my weight loss journey. I'm 34 years old and had 3 kids in 5 years. Thu, 20 Feb 2014 10:23:49 EST Stay-@-home mom Hi! My name is Jessie. I'm a stay-@-home mom of 3 blessings. I started my journey of weight loss about 3.5 years ago. I was always active and fairly fit when I was young. But shortly after the birth of my first child the weight piled on. Some of it was completely my fault; bad eating habits, no exercise, etc. But some was due to a food allergy and slow, very slow thyroid. So, after figuring a few things out I started at 199.5 and got as low as 136.5. But I slacked off some for winter a... Wed, 8 Jan 2014 23:03:45 EST What will you be having to drink? My weight has fluctuated between 115-160 over the years. 115 was TOO skinny and 125-130 is about just right for me. Well this idea has several problems. One being that I am a food junkie (you know the person that was full 10 minutes ago but can't stop eating it because its sooo good), I'll move on now to the fact that I have the metabolism of a 1,200 pound hippo. I am not one of those people that can workout and eat what I want 198 . Must be nice. So my little adventure has cost me 4.8 pounds! S... Mon, 11 Feb 2013 09:41:26 EST Hello All!! Keep in good health everyone and take it one day at a time.

To good health,

Mara Tue, 5 Feb 2013 21:36:57 EST Getting to an effecient menu plan - help? Hi there! I'd love to use the menu plan on this site! However, how can I go grocery shopping for 6 potato chips or just a 1/cup of fruit cocktail? This is my biggest challenge! How can I create a healthy menu where I can go grocery shopping just once a week and not waste any ingredients? Can you share best practices? I haven't been able to find information on the site yet. Thank you!! Tue, 5 Feb 2013 20:30:21 EST Newbie Hey everyone. I'm Shelley...38 and looking to get my old body back. I wasn't working for the last few years and have put on quite a bit of weight. I know this group is for those wanting to lose 10 pounds or less but to get to 20, I have to lose 10 so I thought.....why not? Many teams are inactive and this one is not so I hope it's okay to be here too :). It's harder to lose weight now so I can use all the support I can get and reading others' stories and experiences sure helps a lot! Sun, 27 Jan 2013 10:12:34 EST Hello fellows I am here to get healthy with the support of others in the same boat Thu, 24 Jan 2013 06:00:14 EST Video Game fitness Hi, everyone! I've been loving my Zumba game on the Xbox Kinnect, but I'm starting to find it repetitive. I used to use the WiiFit program also, but it is sort of easy. Does anyone out there have a favorite fitness game they'd like to recommend? Thu, 17 Jan 2013 10:46:46 EST Just a few pounds, NO baby Hi everyone, just joining here. I've been trying to lose no more than 10 pounds for the last year. I lost about 6 over a summer of 1200 cal dieting + Insanity workouts. But I'm struggling keeping them off without continuing those efforts. As soon as I stopped and went into maintenance mode, I inched back up there. So its a new year, I started SparkPeople, Insanity, and my 1200 calorie diet. Looking forward to a lifetime of Insanity! Thu, 17 Jan 2013 08:19:52 EST My new vice: caffeine I never used to be a coffee drinker at all. I enjoyed juice and sugary, milky latte-type drinks, which are both now cut from my diet. I have coffee with breakfast, and throughout the day whenever I need a boost and would normally have turned to sugar. I know I should drink water instead, but sometimes it just doesn't cut it. Does anyone else have this problem? Sat, 12 Jan 2013 10:22:40 EST Hi everyone! I am one of the many people signing up as a new year's resolution. I had a baby last spring. Even before getting pregnant I had started gaining weight, but I have now lost the baby weight plus about 15lbs, I'm hoping SparkPeople can help me lose the last few pounds to reach my goal weight. I'd love to get there by my birthday in June, so I can treat myself to a cute new summer wardrobe :)
Also, I enjoy running. My post-baby fitness goal was to run a half-marathon, and I did it, but it w... Sat, 12 Jan 2013 09:31:04 EST Hello Heya! My name is Lee and I and I have decided to help my mom lose weight by losing some much needed weight. I've never been really good at this, so I thought I would try to join this and see if I can' lose the weight. Mon, 7 Jan 2013 22:03:07 EST Trying something new Well like many folks, have been at a great weight for years and then it slowly started creeping back on. I've got a solid five lbs to lose, maybe more like eight. I feel like I don't know how to do it anymore. I have a horrible habit of mindlessly snacking when I'm making dinner and after. I will make a committment to brushing my teeth before making dinner and after to curb that. I get in a mindset where I just want to eat what I want. I need to find the motivation again. Mon, 7 Jan 2013 06:08:52 EST Time to COMMIT and make that commitment a PRIORITY Hi, I'm Tanya. I am brand new to sparkle. My sister-in-law gave me Fit & Fresh portion control containers for the lunches I bring to work, as my Christmas gift. I found in them a flyer for Spark People. I have never carried a commitment of health and fitness for longer than a few months. I need to make it a lifetime commitment in order to change. My physical body and life enjoyment are going to depend on this. I am going to do this because I have a chance to change. My genetic make-up was not... Once a year, I train and run for a marathon (ran in 5 continents). I cycle daily, and climb/run mountains every weekend (about 5k).
But I've been gaining weight in my mid section ( I look like a 3mos pregnant lady). Any great recipes for healthy alternatives to favorite fat filled dishes would be greatly appreciated. I love to eat and cook and I am struggleing with new foods and recipes. Going to try quinoa this week, getting off milk and soda and sugar. Any motivational pictures stories or ways to include my kids in a great workout where I can actually maintain a fat burning heart rate. Mon, 23 Jul 2012 11:26:41 EST Ugh - now I know why I feel awful today I've mentioned on other boards - I LOATHE keeping a food diary! Every excuse in the book, I've used it. However, I'm at the point where I have to face it - I need to keep a food diary. I'm not great at it, I still don't like it, but I do it.

Today I woke up and felt AWFUL! Thu, 19 Jul 2012 10:48:42 EST healthy vs. skinny I am reading discussions on people having to defend themselves for wanting to lose a few pounds. Now granted when I see that someone weighs near 100 pounds I am thinking, okay, maybe borderline eating disorder or obsession of some sort. However, I don't know this person, they might be 4'9 and have a tiny frame, then I suppose 100 pounds is accurate..I am 5'4" and would love to be around the 115 mark (or maybe a little less although not realistic for me), my goal is 120, I figure i can maint... Wed, 27 Jun 2012 10:12:55 EST Stress +10 Hello everyone it is my first day on SP. I am joining as my busy, stressful life has lead me to grab foods of convenience and therefore gain 10 lbs within a few months. I am looking forward to making long-term changes and friends along the way. :) Thu, 21 Jun 2012 22:06:32 EST Hi Hi Everyone,
I just joined SP, I have a few more than 10 ponds to reach my ultimate goal, but I am aiming for 10 as my first goal. I have never had "A LOT" of weight to lose just those few pounds that creep up with life. My big goal is to be the healthiest me that I can be, one little step. I gotta say, I feel a little frustrated today.

I'm sticking to my calorie limits.

I'm walking between four and five miles per day, five days a week.

I'm drinking a lot more water. Hi all :) I am new to this site, and am looking forward to "meeting" some new faces! My goal is to lose 10 pounds and eat healthier. I just had my annual physical, and found out that my cholesterol is high and my thyroid is under functioning. So, I figured that it's time to get serious about my health and losing weight. Sun, 13 May 2012 20:53:11 EST Pool opens May 26!!! I want to get rid of the little bit of weight I gained over the winter months, and I won't be able to go through another winter without exercising, as the aging process won't let me! My metabolism has definitely changed, so I can't eat like I used to and not exercise anymore. It's so easy to stay motivated during the warmer months, but it seems really tough for me in the dreary winter months. I am hoping to be ready for the swimsuit in a few weeks. Sat, 12 May 2012 11:55:04 EST Hello all I just got on this site for the first time yesterday. I got married a year ago (May 20) and seemed to immediately put on 10 pounds or so. I’ve always been small and never really had to work at it, but since marrying a man over a foot taller than me, I seem to have adopted his eating habits (which doesn’t sit well on a 5’2” frame). For the last 8 months, I’ve been saying I’m going to lose it, but the most I ever get down is a few pounds and then I go back the other way.

I have alway... Thanks! Wed, 9 May 2012 23:51:09 EST Hi, ya'll!! I just joined Sparkpeople today. I am already active in my exercise routine, but I think this will make it easier to keep track of calories eaten and calories burned, as well as my trouble with making sure I drink enough water each day! I don't need to lose much, but I also know that if I don't take it off now, it will turn into much more down the road. After hitting 36 yrs old, I cannot eat the same way I have been.

I am a Christian and believe in taking care of all that God ha... Wed, 9 May 2012 15:47:29 EST New to SparkPeople and 30 Somethings Hello! - New here and trying to get the hang of things. I am a mother of a 1 1/2 year old. I used to work out 4-5 days a week and was very committed to my healthy weight and fitness until our little blessing came. Now i have found myself with a - loss of self - in a sense. Wed, 2 May 2012 13:46:14 EST Hi Hi there,

I am just looking for motivation to eat better and get more toned up! I am a non stop eater! I love to eat! Thankfully, I am still thin, but I know that won't last long if I don't eat healthier :)

Tiffany Mon, 30 Apr 2012 17:52:52 EST What's your favorite way to exercise & why? As a kid, I never saw myself as very athletic and I didn't put too much effort into my physique. Exercise in general had a strong association in my mind with discomfort and competition. But after the big 3-0, the concept of my body and health starting to falter with age started to seem like a real concern. Especially with my guy--sometimes I think if he doesn't learn to manage stress better, he'll have a heart attack by 40...

So we made a commitment to find an exercise we can do to... Sun, 29 Apr 2012 23:36:11 EST Hello My name is Shelly. I am new to SparkPeople. I am a 35 year old single mother of 3. I also teach 1st grade. I am looking to lose 10+ pounds and live a healthier lifestyle for my children. I am looking forward to making some new friends here and building a good support system. :) Fri, 27 Apr 2012 20:13:07 EST Introduction Hi all, my name is Cynthia and I am posting a quick introduction. :) I'm a mom to 5 kids aged 3-11, and a wife and homeschooler as well. Life is busy! And that is why I am here. I have been letting all my daily duties take me away from being the healthiest me. I have always liked being active and exercising but for the last year, been treating exercise as a luxury that I treat myself with when I have completed my long list of to-dos. Needless to say, there haven't been many days where I act... Sun, 22 Apr 2012 00:09:51 EST late introduction Hi, I've been on SP since August, but this is my first post. I am a mother of 2 young boys and love to garden. I have lost 18 lbs and have 8 left to go. I just created new goals and one of them is to be more active on SP, which leads me to this post. I am lacking SP friends, so let me know if anyone is interested in friending me! Sat, 21 Apr 2012 08:03:22 EST So close, and starting to feel my commitment waive Hi there. I don't use the message boards much but I'm in real need of some encouragement! My goal was to lose 7lbs (I'm 5'1, started at 115 and aiming for 108), and I'm teetering right on the edge of that goal. The scale has shown me 108.2, but for just one day. I don't consider this reaching my goal. I guess I want 108 to be my "bad" day, when the fluctuation of the scale is up, and so I've got some more work to do to make that happen.

I've had a great 6 weeks, eating right, work... Wed, 11 Apr 2012 11:01:18 EST Hey All! Ok so i joined Spark, not so much to help with weight loss as i did to get in shape. I recently lost about 105lbs, mostly through re-examining my relationship with food. So the eating part i pretty much have down. well at least most of the time. The problem is, whereas i did lose alot of weight, i don't really exercise. I hate it. i need some serious motivation to get my ass off the couch. Its almost funny to me to have so many people tell me how good i look and yet at the same time keep thin... Tue, 10 Apr 2012 08:03:57 EST Fitness is a way of life and I love it Hello everyone! Any good recipes please post them especially sweets. 4 Sun, 4 Mar 2012 19:12:06 EST Hello Today after getting on the scale and once again being disappointed with what it told me, I am making a commitment to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I take medication that increases my appetite and makes me want to binge eat, so it will be a challenge. I vow to exercise more and to cut out most of the junk that I have been eating. Today I even said no to a cupcake! Wed, 29 Feb 2012 19:13:49 EST Eating healthy when family visits My parents-in-law are among the nicest people I know. Mon, 16 Jan 2012 06:17:24 EST Hi Hi, I started Sparkpeople around the new year. I decided it's time to fight against the slow upward creep of my weight. I am working on the couch to 5K jogging plan while tracking my calories. I'm in week 3 of the couch to 5K plan and enjoying my jogging. I really hate counting calories, but I guess it will be necessary.

Sun, 15 Jan 2012 17:26:43 EST Hello Everyone!!! I'm a little late in doing this, joined in April, but didn't stick to it. I'm determined now to get back into shape more then ever!! I was in really good shape and eating healthy about 3 years ago, and after going back to work I didn't make as much time for myself. We are being challenged at work to better ourselves. Looking forward to the next 12 weeks and hoping at that time this will all be routine! Sat, 14 Jan 2012 17:44:42 EST run i can't believe i did this today. i needed to go to the bank in town and it was snowing like crazy and the roads were not plowed yet. i put on my running clothes and ran in the snow and back. it was probably a mile total so it certainly wasn't the impressive distance I did (ha ha), but that i didnt even think about it. before kids i used to be a runner. after kids i didnt have the time (or have the time to make the time) BUT i have always admired the ease of runners I would pass while driv... Thu, 12 Jan 2012 21:51:59 EST My first time!!! Hi my name is K... I am 31 and I live in Louisiana. I just got married and I guess when they say that you eat when you happy was right. I was always small when I was in high school until I was probably 25. I try not to talk about the way I feel about my weight because people normally say "your not fat" or "quit fishing for compliments". I am insecure because I never had this problem before, so I don't know how to feel. I never had to workout or watch what I eat until now. I am not healthy and... Fri, 6 Jan 2012 17:12:26 EST Snacking I try to eat on schedule. I always eat breakfast and have a small snack (apple or pear) at around 10ish then lunch at 12ish. I am finding that if I have an afternoon snack I'm not hungry for dinner but end up eating anyways because it's a family thing. Most of the things I have read say you should have a snack mid afternoon so you don't over eat at dinner. Should I listen to my body or eat the snack anyways. I do have a problem with portion control however my snacks are always small and ... Fri, 6 Jan 2012 13:20:35 EST Posting for the very first time Hi there. I am 35 years old, I am married and have two amazing girls 9 and 7. I grew up and have lived in San Diego, California my whole life. I have joined sparks before, but have never posted. Now being a new year I wanted to try something different in hopes that this will keep me motivated, and to stick with my diet and workout longer. I seem to find new diets and excersicses but get bored to quick, and just give up. So I thought I would give this a try. Thu, 5 Jan 2012 15:06:46 EST hi Hi all! I am a married mom of 3, work full time and am trying to lose these last few pounds. We are headed to Disney in April and consider that my check in so I don't wake up in June, put on shorts and wonder why I don't feel as good as I want in them. I took up spinning, which I love (everyone at their own pace) and have taken some Dailey Method classes which is the total opposite of spinning. I am short (5'1) and love the way I actually feel tall after the class. Look forward to chattin... Tue, 3 Jan 2012 20:58:14 EST Hello everyone! Very excited about this site! It was really inspirational to realize I could improve my fitness at this age... not that I'm old, but I guess I'd thought I had to kiss my 20-something fitness goodbye. Now, I think otherwise! I want to get within 5 pounds of my college weight. I was 123 pounds in college, I'm 136 now. My goal is 127-128. There's no hurry. Thu, 1 Dec 2011 21:24:13 EST New - Panicked - Discouraged Hi Everyone! A little background info:
I was on a medicine for 8 years that screwed with my appetite. It allowed me to drop a lot of weight, even though my eating habits were pretty bad. (It's not a magic pill - the side effects were absolutely HORRENDOUS). I stopped five months ago and have since gained 12 pounds. TWELVE. Each day as I step on the scale, I see the number and I feel panicked and in despair. I tried Weight Watchers for three weeks, but found that I obsessed over food and... Wed, 30 Nov 2011 12:19:12 EST No caffeine challenge Hi all! I'm interested in eliminating caffeine from my diet. I've done this off and on in the past, but it is a "gateway drug" for me. I tend to have cravings for more caffeine and sugar after my initial daily fix. My caffeine of choice is sweet tea. I'm hoping that by posting on here I can be more accountable to myself. Tue, 29 Nov 2011 09:15:31 EST It's just 10 lbs - Jeez! I think I put it off cuz I'm not that bad off... It makes me crazy that I have to defend my decision to diet and exercise when I know that I have 10 lbs. that I could stand to lose because my clothes and muffin top tells me so! I have gotten this my whole life and am just so darn tired of it. Sure, there are people who are actually sick with anorexia, bulimia, those ... Sun, 6 Nov 2011 11:42:03 EST How can I stop the late night snacking! I need some advice or tips on how to stop my late night snacking. I work really hard throughout the day to stick to my diet and work out in the mornings, but I have this one little habit that I can't seem to control no matter what I tell myself and it's late night snacking. Granted, I'm not eating anything "bad", but it adds to my calorie intake and sometimes pushes me over my daily caloric intake. What suggestions, tips, or advice can you give me? Basically, what has worked for you. If I can... Wed, 26 Oct 2011 09:30:56 EST Hey I'm new to the Boards My name is Crys, and I live in Western NC with my fiance and daughter. My story is an up and down, left to right one. I am a SAHM mom of 2. I need to loose 10 pounds or so of "happy weight." (this is what I refer to as my summes of fun weight-BBQ's, parties, too much wine events!) It is a bit hard for me in that I was anorexic. For real- I was very ill for several years. Now I am MUCH more comfrtable in my body. I am so happy and proud of my body in that I was able to carry full-term healthy babies without much trouble at all. I am happy that my children (... Fri, 7 Oct 2011 08:35:31 EST 10lbs to lose, sooner rather than later... Hi, I'm Kate. I recently finished school, moved, and started a new job and have been stress-eating like it's going out of style. I'm trying to keep under 1400cal/day, but inevitably I'll have days where I feel like I just can't stop myself and will consume 2000-3200cal. I don't eat much "junk food," just too much healthy food. I've gained about 10lbs in the 2months since I finished school, and I feel like crap. My clothes are getting too tight and I feel guilty and almost out of control... Sun, 2 Oct 2011 18:25:29 EST Hello Am new Hi,
Am tsheyang....I joined this website after i read an article in oprah and majorly coz I want to loose weight. I've been religiously working with SparkPeople for five weeks now & this is the first time I've been to this forum & it's a good fit! I'm so thrilled with the results of SparkPeople. I was so avoidant to "count calories" for fear that it would create an unhealthy obsession & take away my joy for food. But being in my early 30s, it has just simply been harder to stay slim & healthy & I think this is something I needed to face. I always thought I ate well - but this site has helped me... Thu, 15 Sep 2011 17:13:46 EST My name is Saundra, and I am a skinny fat person I joined SparkPeople because I am a distance runner with a flabby mid-section that just won't go away. My goal is to shed the excess fat around my middle without detriment to my running/ training/ racing performance, so managing macro-nutrients and consuming enough calories are important. In fact, I hope to see my racing times improve, as well as my posture. I'm 5'2", and currently weigh 138 lbs.

I'm looking to lose eight lbs. and become more physically active. I'm a great starter, but not so much a great maintainer. I've had a hard time sticking to an exercise regimen, not because I'm bored, but because of my lack of discipline. Which is most... Fri, 3 Jun 2011 09:54:14 EST Hello, my name is... I just joined SparkPeople today and while I almost never participate in forums, I think this one could be very healthy for me. I'm trying to get to my pre-pregnancy weight before trying for baby #2. I'm doing two triathlons this summer and have been moderately training, but the weight just doesn't want to come off. Part of the reason, I suspect, is that muscle weighs more than fat, and (more likely) I have been compensating for my increased activity with more, highly caloric foods. I think t... Thu, 2 Jun 2011 10:16:39 EST Hi! I am new to spark people. over 10 years ago I lost about 35-40 lbs and maintained that wait, in between two pregnancies and through a divorce. I did it through healthy food and exercise. Now, after becoming complacent as a single mom to 2 young chaps, and having an injury last fall, which is thoroughly gone, I cannot seem to lose those 5 lbs that I put on during that time. I became sad, and started binge eating when alone, because I felt helpless and angry that I couldn't work out. So I ... Wed, 1 Jun 2011 19:10:38 EST I'm new and eager to start! I was glad to find this place--I love how people refer to it by saying "tracking". (instead of dieting). I am 32 and after my 3rd baby, those last 8 pounds just wouldn't budge like they came off with my first two kids. Now that my "baby" is 2, I decided to face reality that those last 8 pounds weren't going to come off like they did with the the first two. I've always ran about 2 miles 3 times a week, but that's not doing anything for me. I've decided to start running 3-4 miles, 4 times a... Tue, 31 May 2011 11:10:52 EST hellloooo Hi . Jaxx here just joined . Looking forward to sharing and loosing with everyone . Good luck all speak soon Wed, 25 May 2011 14:44:58 EST new Hi everyone. I'm a healthy eater and a runner. Just ran a marathon in March. However, I tend to always be hungry, especially after strenuous workouts and although I eat healthy, at night I crave sugar and I give into that craving too often (even though I generally don't keep it in the house). Anyway, I joined just to be accountable to something and hopefully lose a little weight. Good luck! Sat, 21 May 2011 13:17:48 EST Finally a place to fit in So I've been reading around and I think this is the perfect place for me. Like most I'm in my mid 30's, single mother of 2 boys (3 and 6). I work full time and find it hard to juggle 'everything' I want in life. I enjoy various types of workouts and try to schedule them in whenever/ wherever possible. I decided around January I'd let myself go too far for my comfort. My friends don't get it because I'm the 'Barbie doll'. I'm 5'9" and had hit 148 lbs in December. Currently I'm at 140 an... Thu, 19 May 2011 08:50:27 EST New here Have a 23 month old. Pretty fit in general. Ran a a half marathon in jan. Hi all,

Nice to see so many people in the same boat. I'm 37 and am trying to get back to my "goal weight." I got there 3 years ago (lost 35 pounds doing!), but have slowly put back on 10 pounds. What IS it with those 10 pounds?

I do calorie tracking off and on, but have quite the sweet tooth, so sometimes I spend too much time justifying all the treats. Just like a lot of you say, I'm not overweight per se, but body just doesn't quite fit me right now (not to... Wed, 4 May 2011 11:52:35 EST How does this work? I am new to sparkpeople and only joined because I knew that I needed to SEE how much I'm overeating since I am far less active (at work and home) than I previously was. I know that I must start exercising more and thought seeing my intake would be a reminder.

However, this site is actually overloading me with too much. I'm not sure what to do and am having some sort of "decision paralysis" as I simply start clearing out every option it gives me except the ability to track my own ... Sun, 1 May 2011 08:03:54 EST Love Fast Food, But feel bad afterward It's Saturday and I always indulge today because I work so hard during the week. Anyway, I ate chicken strips at Jack 'n the Box and chocolate shake and Angus Wrap at McDonald's already. Yuck. I feel gross, imperfect...yet again. Sat, 30 Apr 2011 20:45:19 EST Going Strong So I was trying to find something to help me loose a little weight so I signed up with sparkpeople. This program has been great so far keeping track of my intack and exercise. I came up on this while I was entering my daily calorie report. My goal is to loose 10-15 lbs over the next 6 week. I went from a size 2 to a size 6 in three yrs and I just want to get back in shape and feel healthier. Thu, 28 Apr 2011 15:55:39 EST Hi there I'm a 39 year old female who is always trying to lose those last five pounds. And it's always soooo hard. The evenings are the hardest because I'm at my computer typing or watching Netflix and the urge to eat always happens at this time of day. I currently work at a stressful startup. One of my favorite coworkers quit today and I'm still really upset about that. That made me want to eat, too. Anyway, I hope this site can help me stay on track to lose those last few pounds since I do feel happ... Tue, 26 Apr 2011 01:08:56 EST Hello!! Hi!

I have realised since I started working in 2004 I've picked up about 2kgs every two years around the xmas holidays which I then never lose again. Or if I lose it I always gain it back again. I'm 31 now and don't want to weigh 70kg's when I reach 40.

Everytime this happens I freak out and my husband says not to worry I'll lose it 'naturally' after the holidays - this does not happen.

So I'm gonna stop the slow creep by changing my life! I'd like to lose up to about 10 lbs. For the past 4 weeks I followed the 4 Hour Body diet, from the Tim Ferriss book with absolutely no results. In that diet, you just eat beans, protien and veggies 6 days a week. A couple of my friends lost 15 and 30 pounds on it in under 6 weeks, apparently lots of people are losing weight fast on it. I was disappointed that I did not lose a single pound or inch in 4 weeks. I was not counting calories on it, so I figur...
