Sun, 17 Jul 2016 17:02:42 EST New to Team Hi everyone. I have only been on SP for 1 week and right now I am only down 1 pound. My goal is to lose 110 pounds by June, so 109 more to go. I am married with 2 children and my son and I are both picky eaters. We like the basic stuff meat and potatoes, I will eat carrots. Neither of us like any kinds of beans and the only greens I like is lettuce, celery, and cucumbers. I do like fruit. Tue, 29 Sep 2015 18:21:49 EST I HATE VEGGIES I hate all veggies except the high carb ones like corn & carrots. I hate green veggies! What can I do? Fri, 28 Aug 2015 13:02:24 EST Adding new veg/fruits to your diet... What are some of the creative ways that you have added fruits and vegetables to your diet? Hello! I just joined SP. I have trouble "dieting", with "lifestyle changes" in the diet area, because I don't like real food. Parents: you know how the pediatrician tells you, "Tell your child this is his/her meal. If s/he is hungry, s/he will eat it"? That never worked on me, and it doesn't work on my 7-year-old daughter (my 9-year-old son is a champ--despite having mild autism, he will try anything, and one of his "obsessions" is healthy food). Lizzie and I would choose to starve rather tha... Sun, 5 Feb 2012 01:16:54 EST New SparkPeople Family Member Hello everyone, I just signed up today. I was referred by a co-worker from another office within our agency. I am committed and excited. It's been rough, but I know that I will reach my goal. I haven't always been this way, but I know that I am willing to make changes I can/will make it. I wanted to take the easy way out (surgery) and my son very bluntly told me that I could not do that and to do it the natural way and that he would help me. How could I resist. I wish everyone much su... Thu, 2 Feb 2012 13:50:21 EST Picky Eater Married to an Even Pickier Eater! Hi everyone!

I just joined this week and wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone before I forgot. I am a slightly picky eater. My favorite food is Mac&Cheese with some sort of meat in it and broccoli. My husband, is an insanely picky eater. He won't touch pasta, and insists he must have meat with every meal. Since we don't have the kind of money to eat two different meals I often end up going with his desires and tastes. I have only recently managed to get him to eat peppers an... Wed, 1 Feb 2012 08:39:12 EST I Need Help Improving My Boyfriend's Poor Diet!!!! Hello, I am a nutrition major and within the last year or so I have greatly improved my diet and have learned to love foods that I used to avoid like the plague. I cannot say the same for my boyfriend; however.
His diet consists of carbs, protein, and fat. He does not eat fruit(except for an occasional granny smith apple) and will not eat salad or vegetables. He eats high calorie meals but doesn't eat often and I am actually afraid he is calorie deficient, not to mention deficient in ma... Sun, 22 Jan 2012 15:19:33 EST I can't believe there are others out there! Hello,

I found this place through a blog I was reading today and it is good to know that I am not alone. I have a problem with textures in my mouth and that means that there are some food I don't eat. Veggies are a big one, but some fruits as well. Thing is that some of the foods I used to love now cause me to gag as soon as I bite into them. It is not the flavor, it is the feel I can't stand. Unfortunately, this had lead to some poor eating habits and a HUGE weight gain. I ... Thu, 19 Jan 2012 14:14:16 EST Trying to convince myself to like salad Hi guys, this is my first post on this board. I'm really trying to lose weight and get healthier by trying to convince myself to like foods that are healthier for me. I've already conquered yogurt, and salads are next up on my list. I went to a wedding this weekend and they served a spring mix salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and much to my surprise I loved it! I'd really like to use this as a stepping stone to begin incorporating salad into my daily menus. Can anyone recommend ... Mon, 16 Jan 2012 13:46:03 EST First time I was glad to be a picky eater! So I love to bake!!!! Well actually it isn't really the baking part I enjoy... its the creating. Sat, 17 Dec 2011 16:50:55 EST Howdy! I'm picky too! Hey there. I'm a picky eater getting back into my fitness journey. I'm lactose intolerant, I may be allergic to nuts, and I have problems with soy. In addition, I just plain don't like any seafood or waterfowl, most tomato products except ketchup and pizza sauce/marinara, green veggies, most fruit especially pears, and tons of other stuff. Getting "good" fats and enough protein is hard for me, but I've found whey protein powder in in my PB sandwiches (I hate J) does wonders.

How ar... Mon, 21 Nov 2011 20:19:20 EST Getting sick of eating the same things Hi everyone. I just joined this team today. I decided I'd see if there was a group out there for picky eaters. I've been picky for as long as I can remember. I was told I take after my dad in that department. There are so many things that I won't eat, and if I know a dish has that item in it, I can't even try it. I live with my boyfriend, and he isn't a picky eater. We are both tired of eating the same things. I just find it hard to find stuff that I'll eat. I'm not very experienced in the co... Thu, 17 Nov 2011 12:27:14 EST hey everybody! Tue, 23 Aug 2011 10:44:15 EST Mushrooms? I am looking into trying a few new things again, it has been a while since I have attempted to try anything new. I am intrigued by mushrooms. Normally i only try things that my husband would eat so that if I don't like it he will finish it. He hates mushrooms, but they are something that I could just buy one or two of to try. I want to try mushrooms (this is weird) because I have always liked the way they look. But up close they are kind of super creepy what with gills or whatever that is und... But on top of being a picky eater, I have two kids who are picky eaters as well as having multiple food sensitivities and allergies. So this makes meal planning VERY difficult in my house. But I am losing weight and getting my kids more active so we are heading in the right direction! Tue, 5 Jul 2011 17:03:04 EST Local teacher looking for support Hello! My goal here is to try and find some creative ways to try and eat a little more healthy even though there are some(quite a few) things that I just don't like to eat.(smile) So here I am. Sat, 2 Jan 2010 09:24:09 EST Hello Fellow Picky Eaters I've ALWAYS been a picky eater. I have vivid memories of being the last one at the table and stashing my food so I didn't have to eat it. Sat, 5 Sep 2009 16:29:49 EST I'm less picky than I use to be! I hate onions (but love the flavor they give foods they are cooked in) and tomatoes (they look so pretty and then you cut them open...)
With only these 2 issues (I have more food issues: food touching, certain foods I don't eat cooked/raw, etc)I have so many problems finding a good diet (I am better able to diet if I have meals to choose from) because things like salsa or onion/spinach salad are suggested. LOL
At least I can eat foods that have touched eachother now! Wed, 12 Aug 2009 14:01:56 EST Average Week What is an average week of meals for you? My fiance and I are stuck with the same ol' things! Spaghetti, tacos, hamburgers, chicken breast and pasta, pizza...all plain of course! Any suggestions for other meals that are fairly quick and healthy? Often, I have some sort of tomato-based dip, which I usually like, and to make it into a meal, I often will add some leftover meat from the fridge. I've discovered I like handling my food with my fingertips, especially at work. The dip, or chunky salsa with meat, is one of my favourite lunches, but I grow tired of eating it with a spoon. I'd like to have a veggie that I can use to scoop up the salsa-meat mix, but I don't like celery AT ALL (a...
