I'm currently living abroad so I could finally afford to get an X-ray so I could discover why my back had been aching since I was 14. Turns out, I'm missing a small bone that helps stabilize my spine and pelvis. Does anyone else have a similar issue? The doctor thinks I was born with this. My name is Cherese, I was diagnosed with DDD and scoliosis as a child, after what I though was a small incident at work it progressed to grade 3 spondylolisthisis. I had a four level lumbar fusion and my spondy was reduced to a grade one and fused with hardware. Since that time I was diagnosed with nerve damage and chronic neuropathy from my lower back to my toes. I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted a year later and although it does help quite a bit I am still on various medications. I f... Sat, 24 Sep 2011 00:07:48 EST Spondylo isthesis and sudden disfunction I had a couple of very scary incidents today. The first time, I was walking along, felt the familiar tightening/twinge of pain in my lower back, the next thing I know, I am on the floor. My right leg just kind of gave out on me and I fell. Later, the same thing happened again, I didn't fall that time, but had to sit down because my leg wouldn't work for a few seconds. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I certainly hope this is not a sign of things to come. Thu, 22 Sep 2011 01:52:52 EST what kind of mattress? We need a new mattress. What kind will help my sciatic nerve pain??
