Buster and I will walk in bad weather but not like hurricanes or tornadoes. I love to walk out in fields when it is snowing out and listen to nothing but the silence and hearing the snow softly fall, this really helps my anxiety and depression. And right after a good rain, the air smells so good. Another one of our favorite things to do on a nice day is to go and sit by the river and listen to it go over the rocks.

emoticon You are definitely on the right track. I've been an outdoor person almost my whole Life. Almost all my "exercise" that I count is either walking outside or biking... in the summer we add in hiking, and this winter got some snowshoe time. I've already started gardening for the year as well. (I also do a list of indoor exercises to keep the old body in shape for outdoor playing!!)
All the best,
patti

living with depression is never easy. Neither is having conflicting thoughts. One thing I have found to help me even on my best day it to go outside and get some air. Whether or not I am walking or just sitting on a bench somewhere the fresh air seems to help clear my lungs and my head.
I am not sure how to start a challenge, but I personally think that striving to get at least 20 minutes of getting outside a day (weather permitting) should be a challenge.
But again, that's just me.
