@LADYSTARWIND I totally agree with your philosophy & I think that your over 1700 min of fitness are impressive!

I was close to my goal but didn't reach it, so I'm waiting to be back home (tmr) and restart to exercise consistently :)

Oh, BTW, is there a February 2018 fitness challenge? I can't seem to find it...

not quite where I hoped to be, but there has been some non-recorded home exercise as well...so all is well. I rather like the philosophy that "Goals are like traveling to the stars...If I'm pointed in the right direction, it doesn't matter if I get there. The Journey to the Stars is beautiful just the same."

I found this thread a little late in the month. I hope you will open one for February. I need this to be accountable for daily exercise.

For the remainder of the 5 days in January I will do 150 minutes of exercise 30 minutes a day

Jan 27; 45 min , cardio and strenght.( treadmill and lunches ect)
Jan 29"; 30 min bowling
Jan 30; 30 min bowling

OK so somewhere back around the 18th, I got off by 100 minutes--LOL I guess that's why it seemed this month was going by oh-so-quickly! (Math never was my forte'--obviously still isn't!!)

23 Jan: 45 min floor exercise set and arms
24 Jan: day off
25 Jan: 30 min walk 1.5 mile w/15lb pack; 30 min floor exercise
26 Jan: 105 min walk 4.5 mile w/15lb pack

Goal/ today/ total/ to do
2000/ 210 / 1495 / 505

also went bowling...but I'm not sure how much "time" to really count... LOL
4 of us played 3 games in 1hr 45 min... If I guessed that half of that time was the inevitable setup and ball return time and moving places....and then split the remaining by 4...??? About 15 min?! But at least I lifted a 10lb ball 50-60 times! (when you aren't good....you always toss it at least twice!)

Here is our fitness minutes challenge for January 2018. I hope lots of people can join us -- and support each other in meeting our goals for getting regular exercise.

For those of you unfamiliar with this monthly challenge ...
Whatever your chosen activity is ... you can track your minutes here.


In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to exercise in November (2017) and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended - but not required. Whatever works for you is fine here.

goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

I'm going to set my official goal at a modest 600 minutes -- which is my usual goal. That's equal to 30 minutes per session, 5 days per week for 4 weeks. I fell a little bit short last month, but I am optimistic about our New Year!!.

600 / 0 / 600 minutes remaining

I hope to see lots of members this month. This challenge is a great way to help establish and maintain regular exercise as a habit.
