When I have a so-so month---which this one is turning into--- I still am glad I am on this Journey. If I wasn't...I'd be an obese T2Diabetic by now, and unable to go out and play like I can. So even if I don't "lose" right off, and see those great numbers on my scale as I'd like to, I'm still winning!!
Even from where I was 18 months ago, I've made progress.... My doctor and I are pleased with being able to keep my arthritis in control, and have my blood pressure meds drop dosage. I am postponing "going downhill"!!

Meh, back where I started the month. I've been very strict about tracking nutrition for 8 weeks and decided to take this week off. Still exercising just as much. Planning to get back at it. Still more focused on inches than pounds, and am down 1/2" on some measurements so I will call it a win.

Keen to be lean in 2018!

My midweek weight is lower still than last week, so I'm pleased. Just working at staying the course...and avoiding chocolate this week....!

Hope we all have a good week...10 days of the month left to feel the results of our diligence!

The last three days are down to previous average, so I know this is not permanent.... But I will record it as it is. Interesting also: I looked at my records of last year: same week, same weight!! The highest of 2017--LOL. So at least I'm not on a l-o-n-g- term gain; just cycling with the seasons and life events like traveling out of area for 3 weeks. Can I do better?! Certainly am planning to!

Have a great week....and I'm looking forward to seeing more posts better than mine! (Like MaDiddles--Way to go!@!

Tawney and I are going the same direction...but we can watch the rest of you do small Happy Dances, and know that we too will enjoy our own another time!!

I feel much more in control today, although its too early to reflect on a scale. My issue has been some salty recipes, along with some more intense bike riding.... A double whammy for water retention. sigh... but at least I'm getting back on track.

Hope everyone had a good three day weekend...and has some healthy plans for the coming week. One Half a month to go---(how can that be already?!)

Delighted to see you again...of course you are welcome to join in!

I've never taken time out of my life to consult a therapist on my eating habits. I can see that it might be very valuable in realigning my Journey. I'll look forward to listening to what you choose to share...!

When I was upwards of 170 lbs years ago, and got a pre-diabetes diagnosis---I did work with a registered dietician. Very valuable for me!! I've never gotten back to that state, which is undoubtedly good---or I'd be T2Diabetic by now.

Hi, I am sorry I have been MIA for so long, the fall season was challenging and Dec. of course was difficult (my mother in law is a baker! too much apple crumble and christmas cookies!) but i want to get back on track and get back to my performance weight as i have some big performances coming up. not too much just a few lbs to lose and mostly I'm working on increasing my muscle mass and decreasing body fat, while also eating more frequently in the earlier part of the day and less in the evening. I've been seeing a nutritionist and a therapist, and they are helping guide me through increasing my metabolism, differentiating between food and feelings (haha that's a tough one) and also learning about my hunger cues (what hungry feels like and what satisfied feels like) It's quite the journey and can be very challenging, but I think I'm on the right track. Finally (sorry for the long post!) I'm also weighing myself much less and measuring less, because all those little fluctuations make me a judge myself in ways that are not productive to building self esteem. OUfF! all this to say, may I join in even though we are half way through the month, I'd like to lose 2 -3 lbs this month if possible..

...and up 0.5 this morning! grrrr.... Will be trying to cycle down this week... Literally, as I think we finally get a break in the rain and can go biking. I'm thankful most of the treats that accumulated in this home while I was gone (!) are now 'gone' themselves, so I'm not challenging myself every time I walk into the kitchen. Wishing everyone a successful week!

My scale dropped notably today as well (finally!), and I'm encouraged I'm on the right trail again. The Holiday/travel time period was a repeat lesson--one that I should have been able to avoid by this point in my Journey. Ah well...

You aren't alone... my mid-week is staying up also. That's the *non-linear* nature of this Journey we have to accept...! So, we just continue on, knowing that when we make enough small changes our scale will eventually comply. And, more importantly, knowing that each healthy decision we make counts!! Imagine where we would be if we weren't reasonably aware of those decisions...or worse, didn't care. SO many people out there fall into that segment.

Take care of yourself and keep at it!!

I'm finally back home with consistent computer (and scale!) access...so looking forward to getting back to my path. And... I DO have some back tracking to do.
