Forgot to weigh in yesterday morning and I'm probably up a little due to snacking a little yesterday evening as I had two kids plus home and we had our usual games and snacks party for New Year's Eve. I'm still down four pounds so met my goal!

Hope everyone had a happy holiday! I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted to over Sunday and Monday, but I am back to tracking today! It's a relief to get back to healthy habits and looking forward to see what the new year brings.

Still plugging along! I tried a barre class this week, it was tough but I enjoy that soreness the following days that shows me I'm working muscles in new ways.

Many gatherings this weekend with food and alcohol so I will be attempting to do my best but I'm going to enjoy myself and my family. I hope all of you who celebrate have a wonderful, joyful Christmas.

Now we're moving! Feeling good, missed my run this morning as the bus didn't come and needed to drive my kids to school. I'll make today my rest day instead of Sunday, and pick up again tomorrow!

I might have a slight gain this coming week. Have done a little depression eating but not like I used to do. We did go out to eat at the Mexican restaurant down the road Tuesday evening because I did not feel like cooking and then we had leftovers yesterday for dinner. I did show a large gain this morning and I think the dinner out is why. I have had quite a bit more animal products and less vegetables than I did the beginning of the month but I haven't eaten much sweets like I would have before when depressed. Hopefully my tastes are changing!

I have been avoiding the computer, too. My cat passed away Tuesday morning and he used to snuggle up to me while I was on the computer.

Not going to lie...I was disappointed to see that number this morning, especially as I have been vigilant with healthy eating this week. But I got out my measuring tape and I have lost 1/2" off of all of my measurements from 2 weeks ago, and 1" off my waist. I care much more about those numbers than the one on the scale, so ultimately I am happy :)

MADiddles: this is going to be a come & go month I have a feeling---for both of us! At least we are aware of what's going on. Awareness is the most important part of the equation; second is making good decisions. Imagine where we'd be if we weren't even trying?! Keep Choosing Healthy!

Stickin to Wednesday WI.
We have been up since 5am. Getting sleep in, but it is btwn napping and etc...brkn sleep, so not sure how good that is. Going to have breakfast, then take care of the garden. I need to do some transplanting today.
Char looks like you are doing well. I think I am just eating to much of a good thing. I don't keep anything bad around the house to tempt me and for sure I haven't eaten out this past week. I have restrained myself a couple times. Now I have 4 pounds to lose b4 the end of the year. I guess I need to get to the pool more often.

Thanks for the input on what people are doing with the weigh in's. Part of making this a lasting Journey for me is to keep learning. I've made good changes...but I still look at it through a lens of how slowly I'm plodding towards my goal, and can't quite say "I've Got This!" yet. I'm not at the stage some folks are at where they call it "intuitive"... making progress still requires discipline on my part. Good thing I'm still motivated by health issues!

My midweek weight is down just a bit. This week's challenge is to make some Christmas cookies and fudge for the freezer---and stay out of them while I do it! My partner and my Dad both enjoy their seasonal treats, and we'll have DIL's family up for the Holidays...otherwise, those treats would be a distant memory!

Normally I weigh every day or every other day, but seeing daily fluctuations is becoming an issue for me, so I decided for this month challenge I will only weigh on Fridays. I'd rather see a small steady decline than up-and-down all week. That's the hope anyway! :)

Patti: While I occasionally weigh other days, I do not average. I just use whatever my weigh-in day weight is. I know there are daily fluctuations/temporary gains for one reason or another but don't worry about the unless I can't explain them.

Char... Welcome along... no hard and fast rules here! Do whatever works best for you, and whatever day/days you want to post is fine.

Out of curiosity folks....since its always fun for me to learn what works for others:
do you ONLY weigh on the day you post...
or... do you weigh more times and then post an average?

Personally, I've been doing the average. It helps me to weigh more frequently for encouragement and/or a reminder to be more mindful! LOL
Have a great weekend...choose wisely amongst the increasing "holiday" bounty...

Thanks Ma! I hadn't gotten around to even thinking about December yet--LOL--much less posting! I hope we enjoy a lot of lively participation this month.

I'll be gone for the last half of the month and into January, so somewhat sketchy weighing and posting I'm sure. The more I do post the more mindful I am though, so hope to have access often. (Will be over at my Dad's and then down helping my son move...no exciting travel (darn it!))
