I'm baaaaaaack..

11/27/17 = kettlebell

600 / 20 / 145 minutes remaining to goal

I am not going to make my goal for the month -- and that's only the 2nd or 3rd time in about 5 years. But I don't regret my vacation: I needed some time off. I didn't exercise while I was gone, but I ate well and lost a little weight.

Yesterday was horrible as I spent way too much sitting in stop and go traffic on I-95, just south of Washington D.C. Because of the traffic, it took me almost 7 hours to drive home after taking only 5 hours to travel from home to my brother's house last week. It feels good to be home. My goal for the rest of the month is just to maintain the little weight loss I achieved over vacation and reestablish my exercise schedule.

You might not reach your goal this month ... but don't let that be an excuse to slack off entirely. I am probably in the same situation as I will be traveling over Thanksgiving and will almost certainly miss a few days. But I am going to keep trying to get some exercise when I can. LLou... I know what you mean...!! I only count our 'active time' for riding, walking and my floor exercises. I'm slow...take breaks as needed...but eventually get to my goal!!

Here is our fitness minutes challenge for November, 2017. I hope lots of people can join us -- and support each other in meeting our goals for getting regular exercise.

For those of you unfamiliar with this monthly challenge ...
Whatever your chosen activity is ... you can track your minutes here.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to exercise in November (2017) and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended - but not required. Whatever works for you is fine here.

I'm going to set my official goal at a modest 600 minutes -- which is my usual goal. That's equal to 30 minutes per session, 5 days per week for 4 weeks.

I hope to see lots of members this month. This challenge is a great way to help establish and maintain regular exercise as a habit.
