Sharss: Full disclosure: I'm retired so finding time to exercise is not a problem. (Unless of course, I'm goofing off seeing old high school friends, family and retired co-workers...like I did for half of this month!) I also have a partner who *loves* bike riding, so he encourages me to come along...and keeps upping the ante!! Its a good way to Live, and I know I'm blessed being healthy enough to keep active. There will come a day...when I can't do so much!!

10/20/17 = Leslie Sansone: 1 mile plus a little strength training -- but just didn't have enough energy to do more

10/21/17 = Walk outside. The weather was sunny but not hot -- perfect!

I went to a new doctor this week for a routine check up (regular doctor out on sick leave). The new doctor thinks I need more levothyroxine for my hypothyroidism. Why didn't I think of that? I've been feeling kind'a crappy for the past couple of months, with very low energy -- and gaining weight all year -- even when I eat well and exercise. But somehow, I just didn't put it together.

We did a blood test to confirm and the results came back yesterday confirmed that I need a little more. Yay! Hope I can get her to write the script soon ... I think that is what I need to turn things around. It's been 3 or 4 years since my dosage was raised.

Still feeling really tired, but not sick. Spent yesterday lying around the house and took a nap. Today, I need to get some work done for my 2nd job (teaching an online course for a local university). I didn't feel like a strenuous workout, but I did take a walk around my neighborhood.

(Behind in reaching my Goal - between neighbors and Maintenance men!)

Leslie put up another Interval video. It is slightly different: 2 min. slow and 1 minute fast. The Slow is faster than before. What was irritating is Google trying to get people to spend money on their No Ad program is now interfering in people's videos by inserting their ads during the video. At one point Google totally went to a different page for their ad. I solved that problem by downloading her videos I like. Very rude of Google though.

Here is our fitness minutes challenge for October, 2017. I hope lots of people ca join us -- and support each other in meeting our goals for getting regular exercise.

For those of you unfamiliar with this monthly challenge ...
Whatever your chosen activity is ... you can track your minutes here.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to exercise in October (2017) and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended - but not required. Whatever works for you is fine here.

goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

I'm going to set my official goal at a modest 600 minutes -- which is my usual goal. That's equal to 30 minutes per session, 5 days per week for 4 weeks.

600 / 0 / 600 minutes remaining

I hope to see lots of members this month. This challenge is a great way to help establish and maintain regular exercise as a habit.
