Back from a week of visiting and traveling in the NW....snow in Montana (briefly), then sunshine. got a few walks in, but no real "exercise". On the plus side, I did get my floor exercises done most days. Home today for a bike ride and looking at rain tomorrow.... sigh....

28 Sept: 135 min bike 28 miles.

I did a Message to Leslie on jFB letting her know my displeasure at her taking that Interval video down. She'll know what I'm referring to since apparently when one sends a Message, it keeps one's previous ones.

I only have one of her DVDs, a 5 Mile one which I can't do of course - yet anyway. Otherwise I've downloaded two I purchased from her web site to my computer, but I like doing her online videos too.

I don't really like Jessica Smith's interval routine, either. I can do the "slow" parts ... but the intense intervals don't suit me at all. I modify those. I don't do any routines online: I use DVD's. So even if I don't care for something, I sometimes use them -- but modify them as needed.

IIou. I started up the computer this morning to do Leslie's Interval Walk and lo and behold, it's gone. emoticon Really ticked me off because this happened after I messaged her asking if it was ok to do this routine twice a day. I know doing miles twice a day or more is ok, but HIIT is different so I thought. She or someone did answer my question, but now that video is gone! I'm so glad you did the Jessica Smith Interval and I will check it out.

The reason I very much liked the intervals was that I could tell it was really helping my breathing issue.

Had some seriously intense hiking this weekend...along with some volunteer work replanting at Mt Rainier and good times with friends. We were 'slow' hikers, but given that the altitude was at 5400 to 7200 feet, we earned every minute of it!! Had everything from pea-soup fog to rain to brilliant sunshine over our 3 days. Loved it!

8 Sept: 2 hrs -- hike 3 miles
9 Sept: 1 hr hike 2 miles and some functional exercise carrying and planting
10 Sept: 6 hrs --hike 6 miles
11 Sept: 75 min walk 3 miles

No Exercise 9/1, 9/2, 9/3, 9/4
Lighter Goal because after taking it easier on 8/31 and taking a day off, my lower back wasn't hurting. So now experimenting what I can do in order to make sure back pain stays away. I had thought I perhaps had some back arthritis, but apparently not - thank heavens.

We didn't have much chance for exercise this weekend---all hiking plans were scrapped due to *heavy* (!) forest fire smoke.... I did enjoy some great workouts in the local pool since they had some of the hand "float" resistance barbells---and I can feel it in my shoulders and arms tonight.

Whatever your chosen activity is ... you can track your minutes here.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to exercise in September (2017) and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended - but not required. Whatever works for you is fine here.

goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

I'm going to set my official goal at a modest 600 minutes -- which is my usual goal. That's equal to 30 minutes per session, 5 days per week for 4 weeks.

600 / 0 / 600 minutes remaining

I hope to see lots of members this month. This challenge is a great way to help establish and maintain regular exercise as a habit.
