It sounds like it will be a focused goal for you in these coming months, and you have a good plan in place to move forward with. Here's hopin' your little arm behaves itself and heals like its supposed to!!

I am finishing this month with a first ever for me: under goal! My two long bike rides this week were the scale tipper--LOL I will simply be happy to keep these numbers in sight for the next few weeks. We will be gone more than home between camping and a few family visits. Reminding myself that the Ice is Thin--especially when I'm eating away from home!!

It was a brief stay at 75kg which I know can happen, I am back up but I enjoyed phase 5 a bit this time. For whatever reason I eat a lot of sweets when I normally wouldn't eat sweets. I am back to training and still have the strain in my right arm which is making my goals hard to achieve but I will get there. I made team USA for Kettlebell sport for the second year and will again be lifting 3 lifts while there. I have some redemption to get in this year, I really want to place on the podium and take home some hardware. I am back on my clean eating with a ton of protein, my chiropractor has me eating more to help heal the strain, he also says I need it for the intensity of training. Right now it looks like 28 on the team which is 13 more then last year, but these meets have fallen off and I am not sure I will even try for the team next year because of the venue they are having the meet is not lifter friendly. It's all a process. Glad to see everyone is sticking to this, I would guess you will do September? I'm in. Have a great Thursday.

Wowser.... I have *finally* done it and reached a "healthy BMI"! I'm not quite where I will set my 'maintenance range' yet...but its within sight, and very motivating for me! My new motto is: "Careful Patti---you are only two choices away from letting this slip away...." LOL!! Walking on thin ice... emoticon

I hope everyone else is finding their way to personal goals that are just as important this month. Keep at it!!

MA Diddles...and Jamie: Its such a good feeling to see a number we like though, isn't it?! It opens up a whole new chapter in this Journey: we can SEE a better place instead of just imagining it. I had that experience this week as well... Although my weight average didn't change much...I actually have had 2 days where I was below this months' goal--wow---My Motivation gets kicked up a gear!! I WANT to see that again....

We enjoyed a great weekend up at Mt Rainier with work party, potluck and hiking with friends, followed by the Monday Eclipse back at home. I can't believe its already Hump Day...and time to plan what is next. Enjoy the rest of this month everyone---we have one more week to "make it count"!!

I weighted in at my lowest ever at a meet 75kg, which was a goal of mine, now to keep going and hit the 73kg and keep it there so I can go down one weight class and save two reps. LOL Had a great meet and saw a lot of great friends. I love my sport. Hope everyone is doing well.

Great job sometimes maintenance is harder then loss. I hope I'm down, I don't weight myself because if the number isn't what I'm looking for I can get really down on myself. The injury is still there and I caused a flair up today, been managing my training trying to avoid irritation but thought I was up to a move I should wait on. Now I know. I do see my massage therapist today, she will work out all the bad knots and I'll feel like I was hit by a mac truck for the next couple of days but will be better for it (deep tissue is all about release and can be painful) Summit this weekend to work with some of the best in the country, last year I was complimented with I should be training not getting trained. You can always learn something if you open yourself to it. I am going to learn and continue to grow. Have an amazing Thursday!

Jamie--Congrats on Nationals, and making your Team again. Especially following an injury, that is something to be proud of. You're achieving more than one Goal in 2017!!

I'm perking along....staying at my low for my mid-week, and happy with that.
Saturday will be our annual potluck for a volunteer group---but at least we have 5 hrs of trail work before we eat--LOL!! I just need to limit the servings to one plate and as many veggies as I can find.... And, I plan to pour myself a VERY large glass of ice water to take down to the potluck before I get any beer (which there is always a good selection of!!) Catch you all later,

I was down but after Nationals I had cheat days not day and up slightly but I'm okay with that, Hope to be back to my number there by Saturday. I will continue to strive to hit my goal for 2017. I did make the team but they want us to wait until they make the list public to tell social media. This will be my redemption, I have a lot of work ahead of me and I'm ready. oh wow...discovering how NOT to lose weight....! What I thought was just an overreaction to too many fresh plums (a food I've not had many of at a time before) seems to be a viral diarrhea. I've been sick for 2+ days now....I checked in with the Nurse Practitioner this morning...she said 3 to 7 days is "average"--yikes...I don't need this for 3 more days!

So I'm taking my weight for this week as my average before this all started.
Hope you are enjoying a good weekend. Think I'll "pass" on my scheduled Bike Ride today--LOL

Go Jamie!! Just don't over do it and hurt your arm again...! We'll look forward to hearing about your experience after you get back.

A big welcome to those folks who haven't been with us for awhile.... Setting a goal is in itself a form of motivation for many of us. Accountability to one's self makes the Journey easier too.

My midweek is looking OK, but we've all seen that before right? So I just have to Keep At It...One Decision At A Time! E-v-e-n-t-u-a-l-l-y I WILL get to my goal weight (yep, sooner rather than later would be nice!) Have a great day, and good weekends!

Thanks lady for the opening remark credit, I always try to explain to all my students in class we all need to approach our health on our terms, we are not all going to fit into someone's idea of what we should or shouldn't be and that is perfectly okay, it's better to accept who we are and improve on ourselves as we make the journey. Being happy with who you are is most likely the hardest thing for any of us and if we can find that we can live a more balanced and engaged life.

I have nationals this weekend so I'm nervous and excited to get to it and get it done. (this is the meet that decides team USA for worlds) Hoping I can do the best I've ever done and have a great meet and two awesome lifts. My body fat has went down almost 3% since really committing to my cardio after training (it was difficult before because I only had a treadmill to us, but now have my elliptical) My right arm is still not 100% but it's getting better each day so I'm really happy about that. I suck at rehab I want it to just go away already. Hope everyone has a great Thursday and awesome weekend.
