I took two days off due to sore waist muscles on my left side getting worse. I thought it was due to some exercise I had been doing so wanted the muscle to get a rest. However, night before last I finally figured out that the sore muscles were due to sleeping with my fitbit which was gouging me in that area. emoticon Needless to say I removed said fitbit, but now don't count all those darn night bathroom trips. I don't count fitbit steps for Posting, but use it, well, because I like to track how many steps I do - which isn't the greatest.

Congratulations llou. That is quite an accomplishment. I can relate in a way. On 8/15/17 is the very first time I was able to do Leslie's 1 Mile Walk and totally keep up with her, arm waving and all - no Modifying. emoticon It's still hard for me though. I read a Comment on her FB page where she told someone to do the 1 Mile for 10 days so I'm going to follow that.

Feeling 90% better today -- just a tiny bit more recovery time needed (I hope). I picked an old DVD I haven't done in many months, one of the first ones I used when I first started exercising almost 10 years ago. I was pleased to discover that I could do it fairly easily, even though I have regained much of the weight lost and am 10 years older. I remember when it was difficult.

17 Aug...day off, since I'm fighting a cold again. Have had more illness this summer than for a long time--grrr arrghhh! Just about get over one, and get exposed to something else.... We'll see how I do on our weekend work party: carrying rocks at 6000ft elevation!! Maybe; maybe not. But Mt Rainier will be a pretty place to feel lousy in anyway--LOL! Hope you all enjoy a great weekend!!

Going to have to post for two days. I can't believe I thought I was catching up yesterday and then didn't post Monday's. Going to up my August Goal since SO FAR I'm being consistent. It helps to keep consistent on the yoga since I don't want to lose what I've accomplished as far as flexability.At least a little. emoticon

8/15/17 = Walking (some indoors, some outdoors)

Not feeling well today (due to a bladder infection), but I did a little walking. It wasn't the most vigorous of exercise, but at least I did a little something. I got some anitbiotics in me: so with any luck, I will start to feel better tomorrow.

Oh brother! Guess I missed a day or two posting. LaLa Land here. I keep a record on a word document so now my Goal and Ticker don't match here. I'll try to figure out the Ticker correction tomorrow and post my missing days.

Doing better on consistency than I expected by mainly doing Hittleman's Yoga plan of a different set everyday with no skips. So far so good.

I was so surprised during Set 3 because I was able to do the Shoulder Stand and Plough for the first time since getting back to Yoga.

Will stick with the Yoga, but would like to increase the 5 Minute Walks which I haven't done do far. They're 500 steps each which is good for me as I'm not that active. No job nor kids to chase around.

For those of you unfamiliar with this monthly challenge ...
Whatever your chosen activity is ... you can track your minutes here.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to exercise in August (2017) and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended - but not required. Whatever works for you is fine here.

goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

I'm going to set my official goal at a modest 600 minutes -- which is my usual goal. That's equal to 30 minutes per session, 5 days per week for 4 weeks. I'll be going on vacation for a few days, but I think I can meet my usual goal.

I hope to see lots of members this month. This challenge is a great way to help establish regular exercise as a habit.
