and a slightly bigger "Oh No" today... LOL My scale read the same as the beginning of the month! My weekly average fell in between though...so not all was lost (just not enough!)
I'll get an August group set up tonight, but its off to visit family this morning. Have a Great Monday everyone! And no matter where you ended the month on your Journey, always remember that the most important part is that we ARE on a Journey. Imagine where our health would be if we fell into the vast majority who haven't got a clue or don't care enough about themselves to even try....!!

a small "WooHoo"....my scale read below my goal today emoticon
While I know it won't stay *right there*, I was delighted to see it...and will be happy to keep seeing numbers in that vicinity before August and a new goal! Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Thanks Lady, I'm not completely out of commission just taking it a bit easy, the arm is actually feeling better and I hope to continue this trend. I have Nationals on August 5th and will go and do my best, that's all any of us can hope for. Not try to stress about it, my first time flying into New York should be interesting. And go from there. Beckie has been enjoying lots of outdoor activities with the boys and the new house is home after a long period of getting it there. It's gorgeous. Hopefully I can get her to come back. Have an amazing Wednesday everyone.

Jamie....that's a real bummer to be out of commission when you also want to be upping your training! This is one of those times when your patience with yourself is ultimately tested.... Knowing you WILL get back to where you want to be is comforting...but doesn't make the intervening time pass faster. Take care--One Day At A Time.
Failbetter--Way To Go!! If you can drop 2, then there IS hope that I can also do it! I appreciate your inspiration....
Beckie...an early Welcome Back, as we will enjoy it when you can come on by again. "Life" has a way of detouring us sometimes and that's OK. Hope the summer with your kids is going well, and the new house has become "home". Always so much to do after you actually get moved, isn't there?
Alleycat---hope to hear good news of your Journey soon too!

As for me...I managed a bit of good exercise this week once my cold sort of resolved. And with being more active out in my garden and catching up on things...spent less time cruising my kitchen--LOL. My scale rewarded me with some consistently lower readings. Its a good thing I still have a week of July left to get to goal however (which is where I was before that long vacation travel). THEN I can resume my actual weight loss Journey!! Wishing everyone a good last week!!

Rested yesterday, have classes and training today so no rest but I will try to ice afterwards and get in a nice walk to relax and hopefully sleep through the evening, this is one of the things I've really been missing, it's hard to sleep when the side I normally sleep on is out of commission. Adjusting, slowly. Have a great Monday everyone.

I hope Beckie is doing ok, and will want to join us again soon. I'm so sorry to hear about your injury Turbo, isn't it frustrating to get injured in the summer (especially doing something mundane like getting something out of the car!) grrrr. but you still have time before the competition. Get lots of R.I.C.E. and yes you definitely need to eat a little more to heal. Sending you healing vibes!

I seem to get injured often in July, luckily I've been able to take it easy this month. Weight is finally going down again, after a seriously bad over-eating last week, I got control of myself this week and have hit a new low. Now to stick with it, healthy meals lots of protein and fresh fruits and vegs!

Also trying to cut out all sugars, they trigger something in me and lead to over-eating. So I cleaned out the house and got rid of ALL sugars and such.

Will try to be more present on here as well.

Thanks for starting this, maybe our fearless leader Beckie will get back on the boards again If I encourage her. After the house was completed she found herself not getting in her fitness and wants to try and get back into her routine, haven't heard from her in over a week so not sure how that is going. My injury is a strained bicep from grabbing something out of the back of my vehicle then it put a strain on my shoulder (a lot of shoulder injuries or issues are a result of a bicep issue, which a lot of folks don't realize)I have been applying ice which has helped a lot with the inflammation and hopefully is getting the healing going, the process does take time. I'm a bit frustrated because Nationals are August 5th and this issue had to start the end of June. Thankfully I am just doing what needs to be done and am feeling a lot better, the real issue is it wakes me up and my restful sleep has suffered which effects my day to day. Being an older athlete rest is extremely important. But I'm getting there. My weight has gone down, I'd love a couple more kilos, but know the body needs energy to heal as well, so lots of lean organic protein, green veggies and fruit. No sugar or processed. Hope all is well with everyone, I'll try to be more active the remaining part of the month. Take care and have a great weekend.

My mid-week is back towards something more reasonable...so If I keep my wits about me, this should be a decent week. I've found that closer to my goal weight...its really much easier to "mess it up" with almost nothing having been changed. Consistency is difficult to achieve for me!! LOL

Same here...but I have to admit enjoying the group get together and potluck we had. Fortunately this time, there wasn't much for dessert---so that temptation wasn't an issue.
I also did get in some decent exercise both yesterday and again today after too much car travel, and then a cold. It almost feels like Life Is Normalized again---so that has brought me renewed Hope for Change!!

Yes.. summer.. eesh.. was really hoping to lose this summer and here we are halfway through and as usual I am just maintaining, but today i woke up a whole pound heavier because.. ugh weekend.

emoticon We are late getting a thread going...most of us have been doing our "summer" stuff! I'm needing some extra accountability though....so wanted to start this again.
My personal goal:
Jul 16: 136.5
Jul 31: 135 goal

As Turbobox put it so nicely to start our June Challenge:
"This challenge is open to everyone at anytime. This is to keep us accountable and maintain if we are in maintenance mode. It's also to motivate us to make small changes and continue on our journey. Please post what your goals are and follow along for the month.."
