After doing some strength DVD's most recently (and taken 1 rest day), I found this standard cardio DVD really difficult today. My body just didn't want to cooperate and I felt all stiff and achy. I had to take a little break in the middle, but I finished it.

Welcome BEACHICA08. Good luck with meeting your goal this month. I am the opposite of an athlete and almost never feel like working out. But I have found that having a realistic goal to meet and taking it a little at a time helps me get there. I aim for 30 minutes, 5 days per week. For me, it's more important to keep up the steady habit than to get a lot of minutes in any one day.

I am going to join in with you this month! Trying to get this exercise ball rolling. One of my biggest struggles to success right now is I am always tired and mindset. I know, that I know, that I know....that exercise and active living are like a miracle drug for this symptom,..so my goal is to get in 45 mins of exercise 23 days this month. It may be 10 mins at a time,...but that is okay...it still counts!

Isn't anybody interested in joining me this month? This challenge is a great way keep on track with your exercise. It's been going for a couple of years and has helped a lot of people establish a regular habit of exercise.

Whatever your chosen activity is ... you can track your minutes here.

In this challenge, we simply track our fitness minutes. Set your own goal as to how many minutes you wish to exercise in July (2017) and keep us posted as to how you are doing. The following format is recommended - but not required. Whatever works for you is fine here.


goal / # of minutes today / # of minutes remaining to reach goal

I'm going to set my official goal at a modest 600 minutes -- which is my usual goal. That's equal to 30 minutes per session, 5 days per week for 4 weeks.

600 / 45 / 555 minutes remaining (Today, I took a 45 minute walk outside.)

I hope to see lots of members this month. This challenge is a great way to help establish regular exercise as a habit.
