That happened to me a few days ago and it doesn't seem to be going away which is crazy because I weighed 2 pounds lighter for 3 or 4 days previous to that. It takes 3,500 calories to gain a pound and I did not eat 7,000 calories in 1 day, so I know it's not food...it has to be the other factors that everyone has mentioned. I need to focus on the weight I HAVE lost and not on those 2 stupid pounds! Thanks for posting this...I needed to see it.
I somewhat disagree with the statement that any loss should be celebrated because then you are only celebrating one type of progress that could be affected by things that others have mentioned. Weight fluctuations happen.
You were up 2 pounds. Yes, losing 2 pounds would have been nicer but what healthy choices did you make leading up to that weigh in that you didn't make previously? Did you eat more fruits and vegetables, Did you get your regular work outs in? Did you drink enough fluid? Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Celebrate THOSE healthy choices that maybe didn't show on the scale this time around but are steps along the way to becoming the healthiest you you can be.

Everybody has blips like this and it doesn't mean that you are doing anything wrong. It is just how our bodies work.
There are many variables: sodium content in food eaten amount of food/fluid still in your digestive tract hormones fluid retention from causes other than sodium the time of day you weighed compared to the previous time if you were wearing the same clothes or different ones. (doesn't apply if weighing our birthday suits )
There are so many reasons weight might fluctuate from day to day. It could be you were slightly dehydrated the previous weigh in, or you could have had a higher-than-normal sodium intake yesterday/today, or maybe you haven't gone to the bathroom yet today. Maybe you're wearing different clothes. There are SO many factors that have nothing to do with actual body fat/body weight...try not to get too hung up on the daily fluctuations. That's how a lot of people get frustrated and give up!
