Sounds like a great idea!

@SLIMMERKIWI - Yes, it's an English muffin. This item is still on the meal plan and shopping lists, seven years after its non-existence was first pointed out in the forums. If it means "English muffin" then it should say "English muffin." Please tell me how to push the removal/renaming of this item through the correct channels so it can stop perplexing the few thousand people every week who head out to the store with "Wheat bran muffins, toaster type, with raisins" - a non-existent item - on their shopping list. I thank you, and the company's bottom line thanks you. :)

@SPARK_COACH_JEN - I like bran. Maybe I'll just try something simple, like spreading an English muffin with peanut butter or cream cheese and topping it with bran and raisins. Or blueberries. Ooh, I could sprinkle on some wheat germ too! :)

My new motto: If you're going to change the way you eat, find a way to make it exciting and fun! :)

I think English muffin is basically what the meal plan is suggesting, so you should be fine to use that.

The Toaster Cake Muffin looks like an English Muffin, to me, and English Muffins don't have the same texture as most other muffins have. The recipe you showed is more a cake-type one, whereas the English Muffin is more 'bread-like'. Maybe they have just had a name change.

Oh, Aha! I found it!

It's called "Thomas Toaster Cakes Bran Muffins with Raisins" and they were discontinued. At least 7 years ago. :(

This item should be removed from the meal plan, or, better yet, there should be a recipe. Like this one:

"Wheat bran muffins, toaster type, with raisins" showed up on my shopping list for the week. Wow! I've actually never heard of toaster muffins before. They sound delicious! Has anyone tried one?

Someone please tell me where I can buy this; probably any brand is fine.

Thanks!
