Tree ripened Italian plums. I used to eat them from the trees we had back on the family farm in Oregon. Wow, it took this thread to get the fellow in the basement of my brain, with all those disorganized filing cabinets to locate and send that tidbit through the pneumatic tubes to my mind.

Btw, did you know Oregon is pronounced Ory-Gun? English sure is funny, Dontcha know.

This topic makes me sad! Lol. I have a slew of foods that I have become sensitive to and can't eat. Oats ( cheerios, oatmeal, Quaker oat squares cereal) wheat (special k red berries) ice cream ( can tolerate smal, small amount but not worth it really).... I have many others.

ARCHIMEDESII Cherries are here in Eastern WA. I bought 10 lbs of Rainier cherries for the family to enjoy yesterday!!!! We all love cherries and can't wait for them to be ready and for sale at the fruit stands.

Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they are endlessly amused.

Not that I forgot them, but didn't want to pay their exorbitant winter price;

CHERRIES !

I have been waiting for cherries and blueberries to come into season.

I love eating fresh cherries. Hoping the Rainer cherries will be available soon.

Hmmmm...interesting question. I don't think I do forget. I try to eat things I like. I love apples, for example, and buy them year round. My favorite apples are Minnesota apples and they are seasonally available starting on late August, depending on the variety. I love going to local orchards to buy freshly picked varieties. My favorites are Zestar and Haralsons. Yummy!

raw zucchini, raw mushrooms, yellow squash, fresh lobster tail

I only buy them when they are on sale so I often forget how much I enjoy them.

Are there any healthy foods you’ve enjoyed but forgotten lately? I bought some Kashi original cereal again. It’s a great protein and fiber boost in the mornings.

Of course there’s the seasonal favorites. Florida watermelon are scrumptious right now.
