Didn't get all my steps in, but did a 28-minnute Body Groove workout. Took the salmon out of the freezer to be ready to fix tomorrow.

Was starving on the way home and it was already dinner time, but I did not break into the family-sized bag of pretzels, and had baby carrots while I prepared dinner.

Got up and immediately meditated and did yoga/stretching. When I do these things first, it gets my day off to a good start and makes me want to choose healthy options going forward.

Somebody left a bag of chocolate chocolate-chip cookies in the kitchen at the office, and I didn't even touch them, even though I wanted to just grab the bag and scarf the lot after enduring the Commute From Hell this morning.

Maintenance Lessons Learned:
-go on with the healthy lifestyle learned in weight loss phase
-just add healthy foods gradually to stop losing
-work out every day - 30-60 minutes is enough to maintain weight and good mood
-do not try to balance overeating by extreme workouts, it is not going to work
-avoid overeating, instead of satisfaction you get stronger cravings

My victory for today:

After lunch 🥙, a healthy salad with spring mix, sliced strawberries, hemp seeds, cucumber,
I took a walk around the block, instead of a nap; walking 🚶‍♀️ with a slight limp, my Left toenail in healing process. Prior to this incident, has been doing much longer walks.......so today, a small victory.

My victory today was not snacking after dinner. Had a healthy dinner and wasn't hungry at all and avoided the cookies that I bought for our lunch tomorrow.

Every day we have that little battle between the pint of ice cream and the extra helping of broccoli. Between getting our exercises in and watching one more episode of our favorite show. Between ensuring we get enough sleep and being distracted by electronics.

Share your little or big victories - whether it's as simple as you didn't buy the cookies that were tempting you at the store, or as huge as you ran your first marathon!

Acknowledging our successes, however small, can help us feel better in that sea of temptations, reminding us 'we can do it!'

Here's mine - I finished my 3-day fast! I had been struggling for a while to get through the third day, and would usually fall out around 2 1/2, so I am super stoked that I made it all the way to the end of 72 hours!

What about you?
