Definitely seconding the warning about member-entered foods and micronutrients like calcium!

Also, if you're looking for non-dairy sources of calcium, try searching "vegan calcium". I'm not vegan, but I was looking for some non-dairy sources, as I try to avoid dairy fat, and was surprised to discover things like beet greens, turnip greens, raw kale, tahini, almond butter, etc., are actually pretty good sources of calcium.

Since % of Daily Values typically refers to a daily requirement of getting 1000mg of calcium, you can easily convert that into mg of calcium to see if it matches your own requirements - 7% of 1000mg is 70mg, so a food item that provides 7% of your "Daily Values" would give you 70mg.

Take life one day at a time - enjoy today before you worry about tomorrow.

Once you are tracking it, you really do need to be careful about which food entries you choose, since many people do not enter the information on the vitamins and minerals from the nutrition label. If you stick with whole foods using the Spark database (which is from the USDA) and make sure that you enter your own information from any labeled foods, then you will have the most accurate idea of how much you are getting.

My doctor told me to increase my calcium with food, not supplements. Most foods list calcium as % of Daily Values. Is there a way spark tracks this went I enter a food? When I look at the nutrition calcium is not listed.
