It is a great eating plan with lots of research for support from Barbara Rolls, Registered Dietitian and clinical researcher.

Her landmark studies investigated "how to stay full" on fewer calories.
How to "fill the volume" of the belly, but not with foods containing large amounts of calories.
Vegetables
Fruits
Low calorie salads
Broth Based soups
whole grains
lean proteins
foods with a high water content

There is also research on having a high volume, low calorie flood first, before the rest of the meal. And how this increases satiety. Things like a low calorie salad or broth based-veggie soup.

Think of it this way:
How much space would a half-pound of carrots take up (and the calories).
How much space would a half-pound piece of dense carrot cake take up (and compare the calories).

Give it a try.
The skills you will learn can easily care over to other eating plans.

I give it 2 thumbs up.

Not specifically, but when you eat a lot of fruits and veggies you can really up the volume of what you eat.

Persistence is more important than perfection.

Don't assume your freedoms are assured.

If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.

A nutritionist recommended it for my husband and I, but I haven't done much with it lately. Your post reminded me that I have that tool in the kit to pull out when needed. Sorry I have nothing else to add... :)

I am looking into this "plan" and am wondering if anyone has had experience with it. Pros & Cons please.
