I have a can of club soda with a splash of fruit juice. My current favourite is a bit of orange and pineapple juice.

I quit Diet Coke on December 12th. I was a pretty severe addict - minimum of 2 cans a day, usually quite a bit more. It's like crack to me (not that I've ever tried crack lol). I miss it so much, even 3 weeks later. I sort of like pink grapefruit La Croix.

I second Bubly!

I really like the lime one - it's a great stand-in for beer with meals like tacos or pizza. It also makes a great "virgin" mimosa when mixed with orange juice, and I've mixed it with a small can of pineapple juice when I really wanted something "sweet" to drink - 90 calories of fruit-based sugar vs. 150 calories of high-fructose corn syrup in a can of pop.

I fill up my 32 or hydroflask with iced decaf green tea every day. Sometimes I'll make an Arnold Palmer (half iced tea, half lemonade) as a treat.

I sometimes add a splash of flavored white balsamic vinegar to my water. Lemon, raspberry, and peach are all tasty.

When buying flavor water.. make sure to check the label. They often have sodium in them or sometimes some harmful chemicals for sweetener (if you avoid those types of things)

I substituted Bragg's ACV water for soda. There's four or five flavors, it's low in calories and sweetened with a stevia blend that I find palatable. The vinegar gives it a little zing which makes it a good swap for me.

Water is the only thing we can consume without limits and side effects : )
Cool clear water actually tastes good, it is like fresh air.

I add fresh mint or sliced cucumbers to my water from time to time.
I also will have a flavored seltzer water on occasion or add an electrolyte tablet to water.



There is no elevator to success, you have to do the work and take the stairs.

I really like Zevia which is a stevia sweetened soda. I find that it tastes the same as diet soda to me.

I have found that the fizz is not as important as the caffeine

I'm with MLAN, you need to figure out what spot it hits before you can figure out how to replace it. Adding raspberries to your water will do nothing as far as a caffeine fix goes. I will also say to start where you are and play around with one diet soda a day until you find something that you like. This way you're mostly keeping everything else the same and then just trying alternatives until you find something you like.

It may be helpful to figure out why you like the diet drinks. That may be key in figuring out a substitution. Is it the fizz? try sparkling water. Is it the caffeine? Try tea (black, green, white, oolong have caffeine) or coffee. Is it the flavor or the chilled drink? Herbal teas and true teas (mentioned above) have a lot of different flavors and can be served hot or cold,

I gave up diet soda too & I feel much better for it. Cravings are far fewer now. I like to keep a pitcher of water with fruit in it. The varieties are endless from basic lemon or lime to mixes of different fruit. Sometimes I throw an herbal fruit teabag in the mix which makes it look more like a fruit drink. It is really refreshing & even my hubby has come to enjoy it.

I am looking for a healthier substitute for diet sodas. I really don’t like water, I can drink it if I have too. Sodas are really a big expense for me now. I am just looking for some alternatives .
