A scoop of collagen peptides in just about anything liquid. It dissolves easily and is flavorless and adds 10 grams of protein to whatever you're drinking. You can really boost spaghetti sauces, pizza sauce, clam chowder, baked goods, etc.
An even quicker choice would be Costco's Kirkland Signature Protein Bars. They're delicious, chewy, a bit high in calories: 190, but a good protein punch at 21 grams each and high fiber - 15 grams and up per bar.

All things are possible.

Sharing my (Makes about 1.5 galloons BIG pot:) TURKEY SOUP: easy peasy! Water enough to cover everything & Cook, bones, skin, fat, gravy & all, till everything drops off the bones. About an hour. Makes a lovely broth. Separate ALL bones & etc. from turkey & put any cooked turkey from this concoction into a separate container & any more cooked turkey, to make VERY turkey pieces. I add things in 1 at a time, root veggies first: Carrots; yams; baby potatoes, etc. Cook till almost firm. Then I add butternut squash, (I buy frozen & already cut up) & zucchini; then I add Brown rice spirals from Trader Joes. About 1.5 cups. Cook about 5 minutes, only, then add things like broccoli, cauliflower, etc. Cook ONLY till broccoli is BRIGHT green. Then add back the cooked turkey chucks. At this point I take out several servings for our doggie. Maybe 4 days worth. (They can't have onions or spices. Truly her favorite food I serve her!) Then I roast & add in a small dry frying pan, dry onions. About 1/2 cup, till really dark. This is where the deep flavor comes from. I add a few tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce, Trader Joes, '21 salute' spices AND a couple of sprinkles of poultry seasonings. Cook just a few seconds, till flavors blend. DON"T over cook veggies. They cook more as cooling down. If there isn't enough liquid I may add a can or 2 of low sodium chicken broth. I actually LIVE on this stuff! Sometimes there isn't even enough to freeze. BUT if there is, I freeze only in single servings. SO much easier to defrost in a quick hurry. Hope this helps! It is a true balanced meal, nothing else needed. IN-Joy!!!!

Best Keto Crunchy Cheese Snacks

Line a paper plate with parchment paper (don't use waxed paper)
Put one or two Tablespoons of shredded cheese in the middle
Microwave on high 60 seconds (more if you have a low watt micro)
Let rest a minute. Slide the "cracker" off of the parchment onto the plate.
Munch away. Sometimes I add a little salt and pepper to them. I like cheddar the best but any cheese will work.

Live, Laugh, Love!!

My go-to snack for protein is white bean dip :) It takes a little prep because you need to soak the beans but it's super cheap and delicious. Basically you just prep the beans, blend them for a minute with olive oil and a little salt and pepper, and then you have a high protein snack you can dip veggies or pitas into.

Personally I love adding a little hot sauce and some chili flakes but it's great either way.

Thanks guys that was really helpful! I also had a light bulb emoticon moment. Instead of making protein shakes I have also been adding the(vanilla) powder to things like yogurt or oatmeal. I made some pumpkin muffins for my preteens/teen breakfast and snuck some in there too and they LOVED it. I guess it also kinda helped that I added some semi sweet chocolate chips! lol

I've just added sardines as a midnight snack! (:

Sardines in water have fewer calories than in oil. Sardines in olive oil have more Omega-3. Avoid sardines in sunflower oil, and other oils that are high in Omega-6. : https://wellnessmama.com/14433/omega-6-vs-omega-3/

Canned salmon has the same nutrition as fresh salmon.
http://www.eatingwell.com/article/274447/fresh-vs-canned-vs-frozen-which-is-better/

And watch out for mercury in fish, including (sometimes) canned tuna.

As previously mentioned, if you can find Siggi's Icelandic skyr style yogurt, this is a good choice. These are not 'sweet' due to low added sugars, and they have some tasty flavors: orange & ginger, rhubarb (which I haven't been able to find), mixed berries, vanilla bean.

Life is too short to have a bad day.

Seapoint Edamame Beans... you can get single serve frozen microwave packs (100 calories, with fiber, and like 10 grams of protein... I thaw them enough so that I can eat them cold). You can also get them dried and lightly salted.

https://www.puritan.com/seapoint-farms-brand-0938/edamame-lightly-salt-100-cal-053379?scid=45188&cmp=bngshp-_-healthyfoods-_-053379&msclkid=894deb6f40821dad2da8b0d390283a50

These bad boys have been helping me routinely hit both my fiber and protein goals. And they're so damn convenient!

If you start adding in some extra protein with meals, it really helps. A bit of cottage cheese or some hemp seed w/ salads and greek yogurt really make a difference for me. emoticon

Personal favourites for a protein hit:

- plain Greek yogurt (non-fat if you prefer) or cottage cheese --- add some fruit / berries if you have room for some extra carbs
- salmon or tuna salad made with plain Greek yogurt or cottage cheese instead of mayo (the fish is higher fat - but all good stuff)
- sliced meats (I always cook extra chicken, beef roast, pork roast, etc. and freeze in slices --- great for a quick snack along with some pickled veggies like asparagus / sauerkraut / dill pickles)
- egg or egg white omelet (I most often use a mix of a single egg with 120-180g of egg white), topped with either fruit or veggies

The lowest in calories would be going with a straight egg-white omelet, but that is also the lowest in overall nutrition (lots of protein - not much of anything else).

Sir Terry Pratchett: "Science is not about building a body of known 'facts'. It is a method for asking awkward questions and subjecting them to a reality-check, thus avoiding the human tendency to believe whatever makes us feel good."

"The Inuit Paradox" ( discovermagazine.com/2004/oct/inuit-
paradox
): "...there are no essential foods—only essential nutrients. And humans can get those nutrients from diverse and eye-opening sources. "
